  Hi, how can I set the resolution by default that windows uses when the monitor is turned off or not connected at all? My problem is that normally I use 1920 x 1080, but when I put the pc to sleep or just turn monitor and leave it like that for a while with a few app maximized, when I get back and turn the monitor on the resolution is correct but the enlarged window is resized to 1024 x 786 resolution. I tried to change in the registry DefaultSettings.XResolution a DefaultSettings.YResolution in all instances and it worked fine for a long time.   It seems that TMM disabling did the trick. Maximized windows are not yet moved to the left edge of the screen, well, those who have been maximized is maximized correctly as they should. I had to disable TMM through registry as I had no MMR in Task Scheduler.

  New here and new to Dell computers. 1st stop, I have a Dell XPS 13 "i7 6560u 16 GB and SSD 512. When using the computer, I get a series of 2 beeps. It seems to be related to the high use of the disc or the CPU usage. I guess my question is possible to put these notifications for a longer delay or at least decrease the volume of the beeps.   Problem: Computer works fine after reboot/coldboot but after entering Sleep Mode Performance is so slow reboot is required.

  Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when the computer not / when they connect. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when thecomputer is (or they connect) that they do not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using resources without reason.

  You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what fits the time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.  This could better focus in on what is actually using the time processor.
