Management IP pool

Hello

I was wondering if someone can explain (as you can see from the attached picture) why the pool of IP management IP received twice the same blade... I have a pool of 18 IP and they are all affected. The other chassis will be soon connected...

Thank you

Hello

As I can make out, you have selected in your profile service the ability to shoot and the intellectual property of the pool.

Select a profile of serivce-> right pannel work-> management-> is IP address that it pooled?

• Order of assignment management IP blade

Hello

Is there anyway to change in order that the management of the IP addresses is assigned?

Example:

I have a pool of IP management of xxx.xxx.xxx.101 with a size of 16 addresses

Managing IP is then assigned to a blade in the Groove 1 and starts on adresse.109, I want the first location of avoir.101

Why this phenomenon occurs and is it possible to change the order?

Concerning

Kim,

From UCSM 2.1 there is a new option to set the order of attribution of the pools is 'default' which uses

Reverse lexicographic ordering, or "sequential".

If you find that you still cannot pools to automatically set the IP addresses for the blades as you want, you can use the "Static" IP allocation for the management IP address. Even if you set a blade a static IP of management between pooled, it will appear in the pool as "assigned" - to avoid duplicate IP allocation.

Kind regards

• Unable to create the pool of IP required for configuration VXLAN using the API REST NSX

Basically, I want to configure VXLAN using the REST API. To set up VXLAN, VMKNic IP addressing accepts DHCP or IP Pool. I decided to go with Pool of IP.

To create a Pool of IP "NSX-DEV-IPPOOL-01', I used the REST APIs.»

POST https:// < nsx - ip > /api/2.0/services/ipam/pools/scope/ < id data center >

< ipamAddressPool >

< name > NSX-IP-POOL-02 < / name >

< LG > 24 < / LG >

< gateway > 10.99.134.1 < / gateway >

Lab.local < dnsSuffix > < / dnsSuffix >

< dnsServer1 > 10.99.134.2 < / dnsServer1 >

< dnsServer2 > < / dnsServer2 >

< Plages_ip >

< ipRangeDto >

< startAddress > 10.99.134.225 < / startAddress >

< endAddress > 10.99.134.229 < / endAddress >

< / ipRangeDto >

< / Plages_ip >

< / ipamAddressPool >

Now I can see the Pool of IP in vCenter under NSX Manager-> [NSX-Manager-IP]-> manage-> object-> Pools of IP group.

nsx_ipPools.png

But when configuring VXLAN, no IP pool is present.

nsx_configurev_xlan.png

Y at - it all the additional steps required after the addition of pool of IP using the REST API?

Thanks in advance.

Remove the existing IP pool. Then recreate the pool by using the API, but instead of using with globalroot-0.

• Manage the list of resources by commands?

The VMware ESX 4.1.0 and vCLI are cool. But can I create and manage the Pool of resources by commands?

Thank you.

Depends on your needs, if you are wanting to use the vCLI (remote CLI) commands, VMware has not all scripts in canned food that takes care of the management or the creation of Resource Pools, you must write your own. Here is an example on creating a Pool of resources in a specific Cluster VMware - http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-11448

If you plan to run the commands on the host ESX (i) himself, then you can take a look at vimsh - you can look in usingn vim - cmd hostsvc/rsrc but, once again, this one deals with RP local within the host ESX (i), if you talk about RPs vCenter, you will need to look at the first option.

If you are looking to manage/create the RPs, you can also take a look at PowerCLI, there are a bunch of canned cmdlets that offer this feature and should be pretty simple to start, the requirement is Windows + PowerCLI

So just all depends on what/where you try to do

Hello

You have posted a lot of info that confuse finally
Generally, the router must manage a pool of IP addresses, the IP addresses should be assigned automatically to each laptop computer that tries to connect to the router.
So in your router settings dynamically assign addresses IP must be activated.

In addition, you should check if the MAC address filtering was not activated because this could cause the laptop to connect.

The WLan connection properties contain the TCP/IP protocol. The TCP/IP protocol contains a few options. Here, you must make sure that all (IP address, gateway, DNS) is set to obtain automatically.

• How to set up LAN on Equium M50

Hello

I have an Equium M50 and recently moved house. In my old House, I got wireless and the Internet worked well. However in the new House, it is a home network router that connects all 4 computers to the internet. I tried to put the LAN cable in my laptop and it doesn't recognize it.

As I am new on LAN I need to download a driver for it or buy a card? Yet once sorry on the simplicity of the post, but no one in the House can help me because they all desktop computers. See you soon

Hello

If you are using a router at home, the connection should be very easy.
Laptop computer TCP/IP settings should be set to automatic.

The router manages a pool of IP addresses and should affect a free IP address automatically to a connected computer.
Please check the settings of the router again!

Disable the MAC address filtering and check if a firewall is set on your laptop.

Sometimes if the firewall is on the notebook cannot be connected to the router or LAN.

Hey Saul,

(Start > Administrative Tools > Internet Information services manager > application :) Pools)

1. the identity of DefaultAppPool must be: "ApplicationPoolIdentity.

2. make sure that you start the DefaultAppPool:

3. then you will need to restart the: World Wide Web Publishing Service (IIS) (start > run > Services.msc)

4 after that, to stop and restart all the Services of the TCS:

This should solve the problem.

Hi Graham,

The first thing you want to do is set up the sharing options on the drive or folder you want to share. This requires you to be on the computer that hosts the drive or folder.

If the administrator of the computer had followed the steps mentioned here, you would have access to the library files:

1. Click on the "Windows Explorer" icon in the lower left corner of the Windows taskbar to open the Windows Explorer file browser.
2. Navigate to the folder to be shared.
3. Right-click on the folder to share and select "sharingwith... »
4. Click on the option of 'some people' in the context menu. Theshare with users'interface opens.
5. Type a user name, or click on the arrow pointing down to the list of users.
6. Select each user access to the folder or click on the "everyone" option. Each added user appears in the list of "users". Click on the button 'Add '.
7. Click on the arrow pointing down next to each user and select the level of permissions for this user. The options are ' read/write,""read-only ' and 'Delete'.
8. Click on the 'Share' button. The folder is now shared with the users specified through the home network. A confirmation window appears.
9. Click on the button 'fact' to close the 'sharing ' window.

Please let us know the result. If the problem is still not resolved, we will be happy to help you further.

Initially the target was fixed at 3 GB of a SGA_MAX_SIZE but I dropped it up to 2048 M.

I guess that the DB to the where the error happens as the export will fail from there. Now, when I went from the size of the target, I would have guessed that the shared_pool would have increased on the DB but it didn't. There is always a problem with error ORA-04031 in 32 bit OS. However, it comes to Database 11G, then I would say to let oracle manage the pool rather doing this bu yourself. I would suggect to remove all manually allocation pool and 1 single value memory_target parameter and restart the database. Oracle MSA will take care of the rest.

Mcf properties should be withdrawn as a best practice, regardless of the environment. Development is probably the environment more important to revome such that it will be this object that gets migrated as part of the lifecycle developmentn. As much as I know I've never seen a dependency on these parameters in JDev, so they can be dismissed at pleasure.

The question in dispute. Looking at your it looks that you have correctly entered your JNDI name in

You specified jdbc/fmis. This seems to be more than one data source name is not a jndi name. I expect to see something like eis/Apps/fmis.

This must be entered in your connection pool.

In EM-> oc4j_soa-> applications-> default-> Apps adapter.

This must match your JDeveloper entry. If you establish as common naming method, it should be no problem with the transfer between the developers code.

see you soon
James

• ORABPEL-11622 < detail > oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBConnectionFactory < / details >

Hi all!

I set JNDI in ra.xml - oc4j as file:
[xml]
< location connector-factory = "jdbc/SSNDbDS" connector-name = "Adapter database" >
< config-property name = "xADataSourceName" value = "jdbc/SSNDbDS" / >
< config-property name = "dataSourceName" value = "" / >
< config-property name = "platformClassName" value="oracle.toplink.platform.database.Oracle9Platform"/ >
< config-property name = "usesNativeSequencing" value = "true" / >
< config-property name = "sequencePreallocationSize" value = "50" / >
< config-property name = "defaultNChar" value = "false" / >
< config-property name = "usesBatchWriting" value = "false" / >
< connection pooling using 'none' = >
< / connection pooling >
< use security-config 'none' = >
< / security-config >
< / connector-factory >
[xml]

I have two instances on ACE: welcome and SSNProd and ' jdbc/SSNDbDS' is defined in the SSNProd instance while processes are deployed at home. So I copy-pasted pool of connections and definition of SSNProd - sources.xml in-home instance data connection. I thougt it might be the problem but it didn't solve it. The problem I have is: when I try to open a trial with adapter DB with:
[xml]
< service name = "MSRefIDNextVal" >
< name of port = "MSRefIDNextVal_pt" binding = "tns:MSRefIDNextVal_binding" >
<!-your connection TIME is declared in
J2EE_HOME/application-Deployments/default/DbAdapter/OC4J-RA. XML
These properties of mcf here come your design-time connection and
you don't have to change this file, and then restart the application server
If missing jdbc/SSNDbDS.
These properties of mcf are safe to remove.-->
< jca:address location = "jdbc/SSNDbDS.
ManagedConnectionFactory="oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBManagedConnectionFactory"/ >
< / port >
< / service >

I get the next exception (I put logger level to debug and here is the log file records):

You may need to configure the connection settings in the deployment descriptor (i.e. $J2EE_HOME/application-deployments/default/DbAdapter/oc4j-ra.xml), and then restart the server. Anyone know the problem. Retail oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBConnectionFactory tells me a lot, maybe java.lang.ClassCastException production tell someone my error?

The connection and the connection pool are defined in the data source as:

• Change the IP for UCS management pool

Hi all

We try to change / less the size of the property held by the pool for blades UCS KVM management.

Some IP addresses are assigned to the existing blades, pourrais I delete existing IP pools directly and create the new compact block for managing KVM?

If I like the above, I know I'll lose KVM on the blades.

In addition, what is the impact? The trafffic server will be interrupted or blades restart?

Thank you very much!

Best regards

No harmful impact other than to lose access MMIC for awhile (kvm, virtual media, IPMI etc.). Blade will not restart you. It's strictly a connection out-of-band management.

Create your new pool, then zap your old. The blades will be immediately wish through the other pool for an available IP address.

Kind regards

• View Connection Server Manager - column 'User' not showing not connected in the accounts to the inventory of a Fund of the pool

Hello

I am trying to identify the point of failure in communication between a pool of related clones and the view connection server - which prevents the management console to see if-and-who is connected to a particular linked clone VM.

He showed the status of 'User' correctly in the past, but after several re-compositions and to implement a McAfee Firewall required on the connection server, composer and each Linked-Clone - it stopped. Windows Firewall is disabled machines.

I spent some time already tuning firewall McAfee to enable all required traffic and services and everything works - it seems fair that he is unable to take inventory on the linked clones with regard to if someone is logged in one.

I suppose that the Agent view handles make this info on the login server, but I can't seem to identify the communication which is apparently filtered, when everything else seems to work in the infrastructure of the view.

I'm testing with the firewall turned off to see if I can get it working again.

I have attached a perforated Cap where is the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Corey

It may be a stretch but check the Userinit registry key located at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogin. You want to ensure that C:\Program VMware View\Agent\bin\wssm.exe is specified in this key as will facilitate the session/user information to the broker for the connections once connected.

• Floating pool, the persona management, printer by default do not forget

I deployed a small floating pool view 5.0 with management Persona has helped a few users, so far, everything seems to work very well.

The only exception is the default printers, look to the top of the printer in the Directory network, adds to their VM and affects as their default printer. Will use this VM all day with no problems, but when they disconnect and reconnect the next day, the default printer is not known.

Printers are added, just the default printer is not fair. It comes down to the "Microsoft XPS Writer".

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

-Michael

Sorry for not updated this thread a long time ago. I could solve this problem by using a .vbs script connecting to add printers to network and then set them as default.

I just posted more details about this on my blog today:http://miketabor.com/set-default-printer-view-floating-desktop-persona-management/

Hope this helps someone else!
