Management of Cisco ASA
Hello
We have about 50 + Cisco ASA and want to have centralized management software similar to Checkpoint-> Provider1 or McAfee Control Center or Fortinet-> Manager Forti.
Already, we have CiscoWorks, but need something special to the firewall with firewall features, not only the backup media on the configurations such as CiscoWorks.
Please advise what is the best option.
Thank you
I have it all running here to test, but it's the PRSM questions:
Q. what ASA-X models make this application support?
A. This tool will support all devices of the ASA - X ASA Software version 9.0 or higher. Please note that ASA 5505 is not supported by this tool.
The whole FAQ speaks only ASA - X and not the ASAs inherited.

The traffic load between the power of Cisco ASA and FireSight Management Center fire
Hi all
I have a stupid question to ask.
Can I know what is the traffic load and the e/s flow between firepower Cisco ASA and FireSight Management Center?
Currently working on a project, client require such information to adapt to their network. Tried to find in the document from Cisco, but no luck.
Maybe you all have no idea to provide.
It varies depending on the number of events reported from the module to the CSP. No event = only health controls and policy changes are exchanged. 10,000 events per second = much more traffic.
Generally it is not a heavy load, however.

Configuration of the Cisco ACS 5.3 AnyConnect VPN and management of a Cisco ASA 5500.
We have configured a Cisco ASA 5505 as a VPN endpoint for one of our user groups. It works, but it works too well.
We have a group called XXX we need to have access to the Cisco AnyConnect Client. We have selected this group of our Active Directory and added to our ACS configuration. We've also added a group called YYY that will manage the ASA. However, this group has no need to access the VPN.
We added XXX movies for the elements of the policy of access to the network-> authorization profiles. We also have a profile of YYY.
She continues to knock on our default Service rule that says allow all.
We have also created a default network access rule. for this.
I am at a loss. I'm sure I missed a checkbox or something.
Any help would be really appreciated.

We use Protocol Management GANYMEDE ASA and Ray for VPN access?
For administration, you must change the device by default admin access strategy and create a permission policy. Even by the way, you can change the network access by default for vpn access and create a respective policy for that too.
On the SAA, you must configure Ganymede and Ray both as a server group.
For the administration, you can set Ganymede as an external authentication under orders aaa Server
AAA-server protocol Ganymede GANYMEDE +.
Console HTTP authentication AAA GANYMEDE
Console Telnet AAA authentication RADIUS LOCAL
authentication AAA ssh console LOCAL GANYMEDE
Console to enable AAA authentication RADIUS LOCAL
For VPN, you must set the authentication radius under the tunnel-group.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards
Jousset

Cisco ASA 5505 VPN Site to Site
Hi all
First post on the forums. I have worked with Cisco ASA 5505 for a few months and I recently bought a 2nd ASA to implement tunnel VPN Site to Site. It seems so simple in the number of videos watched on the internet. But when I did he surprise it did work for me... I've removed the tunnels, a number of times and tried to recreate. I use the VPN Wizard in the SMA to create the tunnel. Both the asa 5505 of are and have the same firmware even etc..
I'd appreciate any help that can be directed to this problem please. Slowly losing my mind

There are some clear problems I see on a quick glance. These are not related to the actual VPN configuration but rather the NAT configurations.
All your configuration of NAT CLI format above are configured as manual NAT / double NAT in Section 1. This means that the appliance NAT configurations have been added to the same section of the NAT configurations and scheduling of the NAT inside this Section rules is the cause of the problem for the L2L VPN connection for some.
Here are a few suggestions on what to change
ASA1
Minimal changes
the object of the LAN network
192.168.10.0 subnet 255.255.255.0
being REMOTE-LAN network
255.255.255.0 subnet 192.168.100.0
NAT (inside, outside) 1 static source LAN LAN to static destination REMOTE - LAN LAN
no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination
That means foregoing is first of all create 'object' that contain the local LAN and remote LANs. Then, it creates a NAT0 rule and adds to the top rules NAT. (number 1). It is essentially of at least one of the problems preventing the VPN operation or traffic that cross.
Finally, we remove the old rule that generated the ASDM. It would do the same thing if it has been moved to the top, but I generally find the creation of the 'object' with descriptive names easier on the eyes in the long term.
Other suggestions
These changes are not necessary with regard to the VPN L2L. Here are some suggestions how to clean a part of NAT configurations.
PAT-SOURCE network object-group
source networks internal PAT Description
object-network 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0
object-network 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0
object-network 192.168.40.0 255.255.255.0
NAT interface (it is, outside) the after-service automatic PAT-SOURCE dynamic source
No source (indoor, outdoor) nat Dynamics one interface
no nat (wireless, outdoors) source Dynamics one interface
no nat (servers, outside) no matter what source dynamic interface
The above configuration creates a "object-group" that lists all internal networks that you have dynamic PAT configured so far. It then uses the ' object-group ' in a command unique 'nat' to manage the dynamic PAT for all internal networks (with the exception of printers who had nothing at first). Then we remove the old PAT dynamic configurations.
Contains the command "nat" "car after" because it moving this "nat" configuration to the bottom of the NAT rules. For this reason its less likely to cause problems in the future.
network of the SERVERS object
subnet 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0
network of the VPN-POOL object
192.168.50.0 subnet 255.255.255.0
NAT (servers, external) 2 static static source of destination of SERVERS SERVERS VPN-VPN-POOL
no nat (servers, external) static source NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.20.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.20.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.50.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.50.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination
The above configuration is supposed to create a NAT0 configuration for traffic between the network and the pool of Client VPN server. To my knowledge the old configuration that remove us is not used because the traffic would have matched PAT rule dynamic server yet rather than this rule which is later in the NAT configurations and would not be addressed.
no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.1.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.1.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination
It seems to me that network 192.168.1.0/24 is not configured from anywhere in your network. Therefore, the above 'nat' configuration seems useless, can be deleted. If I missed something and its use in then of course do not remove it.
ASA2
Minimal changes
the object of the LAN network
255.255.255.0 subnet 192.168.100.0

No source (indoor, outdoor) nat Dynamics one interface
The above configuration is supposed to do the same thing with the other ASA. Although given that this network contains only a single subnet it cleans the "nat" configurations exist that much. But the order of the "nat" configurations is changed to avoid further problems with the NAT order.
no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.1.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.1.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

I suggest trying the changes related to VPN L2L first NAT0 configurations and test traffic. So who gets the work of connectivity, then you could consider changing other NAT configurations. There are other things that could be changed also in what concerns THAT static NAT servers but that probably better left for another time.
Hope this makes any sense and has helped

Filtering in Cisco ASA using module sfr Web
Hello
I have Cisco ASA 5515-x version 9.2 (2) and I use ASDM version 7.2 (2). I module 5.3.1 LICO of ASA. I want to activate the ASA web filtering feature. Previously, I used the method of expression regex in the SAA to perform url filtering, but it was not effective. Since then, I have the license for the management of firesight I want to use it.
But I am confused as some cisco docs say to set the firesight management in vmware while others offer to run the boot image in the SAA itself. What is the right way to do it?
The show module command, I see that my module of sfr is in place so that means the sfr module is pre-installed, and I can't do a lot of configurations?
It would be better for me to run ASA itself, but if it does not work like that then I will configure in VM. So please me clearify that concerns my options and my best chance.
If it should be installed on a virtual machine or ASA itself, then please give me the link to download the boot images and other files on cisco.com. I have the user name and password, but did not find the correct software.
Thank you in advance.
Your ASA 5515-x performs the minimum version required to support the fire power module (sfr). The module also runs the initial version of the software of the firepower for ASA-based module firepower.
With this combination of Software ASA and firepower on your device, you will need to use an external administrator of firepower to manage module (create strategies, apply licenses, monitor events etc.).
From ASA 9.5 (1) and firepower 6.0, you have the opportunity to make the most of the same functions via ASDM. You must upgrade the ASA (both ASDM) and firepower to achieve module.
In both cases, you should Protect licenses and URL filtering for the module of firepower.
The Quick Start Guide is here: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/quick_start/sfr/firepo...
See also the excellent vidoe Lab Minutes guides for firepower: http://labminutes.com/video/sec/ASA%20FirePower
The ASA and ASDM software is here:

Software module of firepower is here:
https://software.Cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286271171&flowid=...
To run the power of fire management center VM, the software is here:

All the links above require a username cisco.com entitled (support agreement) to download the software.

Integration of Websense with Cisco ASA
Hello guys,.
Little experience with a Cisco ASA so I want help from you.
I have in my network of Websense solution worked with ASA firewall. It works perfectly fine, most discover that the ASA when working with Websense it sends only HTTPS IPthis causes some trouble in the report generated by Websense contained only the IP addresses instead of the names of the sites.
Someone has already managed to integrate with Websense and did not go for it?
Thank you all
The reason why it only contains IP instead of the URL for the HTTPS traffic is that HTTPS is encrypted and the URL is in the encrypted session, so you see only IP instead of the URL.
If Websense support HTTPS decryption, you'd be able to see the actual URL.

There is a comment in the running configuration: (line 26)
Inside_access_in access-list CM0000088 EXP:1/16/2014 OWN Note: IT_Security BZU:Network_Security JST:PortRange
This comment is missing in 'display the access-list '. In the access list, for all lines after this comment, the line number is more correct. This poses problems when trying to use the line number to insert a new rule.
Everyone knows about this problem before? Is this a known issue? I am happy to provide more information if necessary.
Thanks in advance.

Site to Site VPN between Cisco ASA 5505 and Sonicwall TZ170
I'm trying to implement a VPN site-to site between our data center and office. The data center has a Cisco ASA 5505 and the Office has a Sonicwall TZ170. I managed to configure the two so that the vpn connects. Each of the firewall I ping the IP Address of the internet firewall on the other side and a desktop computer I can ping the IP Address of the firewall internal datacenter but I can't carry traffic between private subnets datacenter and desktop. Can anyone help?
The config below has had IPs/passwords has changed.
External Datacenter: 1.1.1.4
External office: 1.1.1.1
Internal data center: 10.5.0.1/24
Internal office: 10.10.0.1/24

Concerning
-
I have problems to access the resources within the network when connecting with the Cisco VPN client for a version of 8.4 (3) operation of the IOS Cisco ASA 5510. I tried all new NAT 8.4 orders but cannot access the network interior. I can see traffic in newspapers when ping. I can only assume I have NAT evil or it's because the inside interface of the ASA is on the 24th of the same subnet as the network interior? Please see config below, any suggestion would be appreciated. I configured a VPN site to another in this same 5510 and it works well

Add the date of activation of the system of detention of intrusions and Cisco ASA FirePOWER
Good evening
I want to add detention system intrusions to Cisco ASA FirePOWER license (with I.P.S, protection MPAs., Apps and URL). Is possible that? I have to buy another license or only (not free) upgrade?
the start date of the firepower Cisco ASA license-protection starts from the purchase date or from date of activation/installation on router ASA5506-X?
Hi again, my responses below:
(3) the L-ASA5506W-TAMÁS = is the correct part number if you are looking to get the model of 5506-X Wireless ASA. Don't know why ours (CDW) site has not listed :) However, we have listed promotional SKU: L-ASA5506WTAMC-1PR. For more information, I suggest that join you your CDW account manager. If you are not a customer CDW then I would suggest that you contact your local Cisco partner dealer
(4) here's the datasheet FireSIGHT:
The device can be virtual or physical
5.1) IOS-base-2960 - I'm not sure I understand the question. Can you elaborate a bit more on what you're asking here?
5.2) I.D.S. requires no additional licenses. It is part of the solution if you buy above subscriptions. The main difference here is that IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) is deployed in line and he will drop the traffic/connections if a malicious activity is detected. IDS (Intrusion Detection System) is monitor only. Thus, if the malicious traffic is detected, firepower will alert you to this topic but he will drop all traffic.
3DES/5,3) AES will be included at the time of the references you listed.

Cisco ASA VPN session reflect a public IP of different source
Hi all
I tested and managed to successfully establish the vpn on my cisco asa 5520.
On my syslog, I can see "parent anyconnect session has begun" during my setting up vpn and "webvpn session is over" at the end of my vpn session
where public ip used to establish the vpn address is reflected. However after the line "webvpn session is over", I can see other lines in my syslog example "group = vpngroup, username = test, ip = x.x.x.x, disconnected session, session type: anyconnect parent, duration 0 h: 00m23s, xmt bytes: 0, rcv:0 bytes, reason: requested user" where x.x.x.x is not the ip address used to establish my vpn for remote access, it is not related to my vpn ip address below. I am very sure that the x.x.x.x ip failed any vpn for my cisco asa5520. So why it is reflected in my logs to asa cisco? Pls advise, TIA!
Hello
Think I remember some display on a similar question in the past. Did some research on google and the next BugID was mentioned in the discussion.
113019 syslog reports an invalid address when the VPN client disconnects. -

You must test with 'real' traffic on 192.168.1.2 and if you use ping, you must add icmp-inspection:
