• I have Photoshop CS5 and when I try to launch it after recovering from a crash of the system, I get a popup telling me I have to use Adobe Application Manager.

  I finally got things market so I thought that I would return at least to indicate what was necessary in case someone else is in a similar mess.

  I had NOT reinstalled CS3 as the two guests and all indications here in the forum suggested that it would be enough just to enter the serial number for CS3.  As it happened in this case - probably because of the goulash that my system has been transformed an operating system crash and reinstall - which would not be good enough.

  I reinstalled CS3 and launched so I'm the guest of serial number and has been able to do successfully 'Activé' (see the first picture below)

  I wasn't able to get CS3 "registered" (see the second image), but the guest suggested javascript as suspects or internet access, and my presence here in the forum proves neither of those to be wrong. The failure of the connection indicates it may be trying to connect to a resource for activating long dormant CS3 (or dead) at Adobe?

  I then restarted CS5 and once I gave my serial number, he was finally happy with any complaint of needing a product calling prior to the upgrade (see third picture)

  When you have downloaded and extracted the file, right click and then click on "Run as Administrator".

  This should work for you. I had the same problem and did and everything worked.

• I have re-installed Photoshop CS5 and have tried to run the update, but encounter an error message indicating that "there was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later.

• Not able to run standalone Photoshop CS6, error "go into the Manager of subscription and subscription renewal.

I have CS5 and CS6 on my computer but a little while back, that I'm subscribed again CC.  I don't really like the CC at all... much less intuitive for me and much harder to understand.  So I dropped this subscription but now I can't open CS6 more.  I can use CS5 and I can use the CS6 Bridge, which I use all the time, but when I try to use CS6 - that will work with my new cameras, he said I have to go to the subscription manager and to renew my subscription.   OK, what happened is that when you subscribe to CC, CS6 has been also improved from 13.0.6 to 13.1.2 for Mac. So it's a cloud CS6 version and not your old version of license permanent.

  Go to your folder of Photoshop CS6 and launch the uninstall program, and then install your copy of license permanently with your serial number and update to 13.0.6

  Also update Adobe Camera Raw, to 9.1.1 Note: 9.1.1 is the final version of ACR for CS6. Do not install 9.3.1

  All cameras that came after that 9.1.1 should the free DNG Converter to convert RAW to DNG in order to be open to the CS6.

  CS5 help is usually located in/usr/Library/Preferenecs/chc.487.../Local Store/Help folder.

  CS6 help is generally downloaded to the shared location, unless it is limited. In this case the folder above can be used to download help.

  Yes, the content setting in the Adobe help Manager offline, will work with CS5 and CS6 and help our customers.

  'Status to expired' usually means the State when local content goes stale, and new content offline is available on Adobe.com servers. Yes, a user can click on the button download/upgrade to update to refresh the content expired with the Adobe help Manager.

  Regarding the launch of CS5 product help, I'll need some more information to provide an answer.

  1. which product and version of CS5 is the customer problem.

  2. What is the status of help downloaded for the same product (CS5 or CS6 Adobe help Manager)

  3. is the user able to see help downloaded in the above files

  I asked for advice on this here before, but I've sorted it now and I wanted just that comment here.

  I have CS5. I added Muse and PS CS6 trial / beta. Which have been removed as they should be removed. I acquired Cloud.

  I installed the most recent request manager.

  I have to use CS5 and CS6 because I wrote / write on both courses.

  Whenever I start a CS5 application on the next startup app CS6 I wonder if I want to buy or such. "0 days left"...

  Now who can be resolved in the manner as explained in the FAQ here (login etc.), but I have noticed it is therefore not a question of an 'old' Application handler.

  Its a bug or such.

  I had this problem yesterday, soon as my man App updated itself, when I opened it. If that doesn't help (or maybe it does after reboot).

  In any case this isn't really a problem; I click on acquire or such and that's it.

• InDesign CS5 and CS5.5 crash on new document / Lion 10.7

  In our agency, we encountered a problem since update to OS X 10.7 Lion. Our Indesign CS5 and CS5.5 keep if crush on we whetver we open an existing document or create a new. We tried to clean up our facilities, removed both, installed just CS5 and / CS5.5 - trashed preferences etc pp. Nothing has worked.

  InDesign opens as it should-, but at the moment where we have to create a document, what it crashes just with the ball of spinning - someone else can recreate the issue? We use some plugins in indesign only the app "Fontcase" since the Appstore to maintain our collection of fonts... but we even tried to disable this app to see if it can help - without success.

  We currently cannot configure your new system because it is a lot of time and just our last choice... is there another way to find the problem? We also never see the adobe crash reporter... not even after 10-15 minutes as stated in the OS x lion question list.

• Updates of link causing headaches in CS5 (and CS3)

  We know some strange goings on in Indesign with regard to the link updated. We have provided a document CS3 of our customer as well as links. Several times the links are incorrectly formatted for printing (for example, RGB, saved as a JPG, etc.) If we open these links and resave as EPS or TIFF (without changing any other setting, and repeat in InDesign, the image rotates in the framework and he loses placed sizing settings.)   My card is listed as tested for CS5 and NVIDIA card says that it's compatible with CS5, but today after using it, my screen went blank and the display driver recovered himself. It took about 5 minutes until Photoshop CS5 became responsive and the GPU features have been disabled. I will try GPU in advanced mode and basic instead of the normal mode to see what happens, but it's a shame that I have problems of this kind. I also had problems with CS4 like that.

  What I did to cause this problem: "I clicked on" Place... "to place an object, and that's when it crashed. It happens randomly that I use Photoshop. Please NVIDIA or Adobe to solve this problem.   Holy cow, thanks to this thread, I solved the problem! This idea of downclocking the card itself and other questions related power led me to this fix: go to the NVIDIA Control Panel--> manage settings 3D--> global settings and opt for 'Power Management Mode' 'Prefer Maximum Performance' (the 'Adaptive' default setting value seemed to be the culprit). And that's all! The key here is change the setting of "Global", as my individual programs were already set to 'Prefer Maximum Performance'. I have worked very well for 3 days now, and I can cause the error to happen again by changing to "Adaptive".

  I do that and then turned backon OpenGL and set it to 'normal' and so far I've not dropped yet. For all of you who read this, I'll update if I have everything longer blocks, so if there is no more info about me which means this fix has remained strong.

  It could be a problem with the Windows updates is not installed which may affect other facilities.
  Go to control panel > Windows update > view update history. From there though to see if an update has failed. If there is an update failed, check the error code of the update and then we can go from there to determine the cause.

  If there is no Windows Update failed, then go to the event viewer and see if there are errors in the application or system event viewer.
  To open Event Viewer: click on the Start button. In the start search box, type and then event viewer from the list results, double - click to view the application and system event logs.

  Please answer back with an update.

  OK, I spent an hour searching for messages on the forum and not gettting any where.

  Here are the details:

  New laptop with Windows XP - SP3

  New installation of BB Desktop Manager 500_B28_Multilanguage

  I use Sync to update my address book via Ascii one-way.

  What does once.  No problem

  Restarted my laptop.  Now I get Windows Installer looking for Roxio Media Manager.msi and now I can't get rid of it.

  I hit Cancel and it comes back.

  The only thing in Add/Remove programs is Desktop Manager 5.0 and Blackberry Media Sync

  Try to remove one and I get this message 'Installation pending'.

  If there is a problem with 5.0 why is a new version correcting not out?

  Means do a "Clean uninstall" (KB02206) of Blackberry Desktop Software positions, means (KB19218) Windows Installer Cleanup several positions.

  Before I get started, y at - it a real solution?  If I do the clean uninstall and then install 500_B28 I'll hang whenever I start the computer while the installer looking for Roxio?

  Twas obivous that I was going to get NO HELP from RIM, so I called my IT Department.

  Here's what I've done so far.

  Open the Task Manager.

  In Applications, do a right-click on the RMM install process.

  Left click on go in the process.

  This step puts you on ISUSPM.exe

  Click on end process.

  Click OK.

  Go back to Task Manager, select process

  find misexec.exe

  Click on end process.

  Click OK.

  Go to add / remove programs

  Uninstall the Blackberry Desktop Manager

  Uninstall using DELETE all user settings

  After 15 minutes, finally deletes it on MMR also

  I ran Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (290301)

  verified that no Roxio programs or programs BB were on the computer

  and restarted.

  So far so good.

  Now, I have to decide if I want to put BBDM with or WITHOUT the MM.
