Manager tasks less RAM indicates that the PC is originally.

Today, I used my PC to download drivers for win 7 32 bits because I installed Win7 Ultimate on another PC, and I guess that something might have happened without me realizing... for example, if I thought I was downloading the thing, but was actually the installation on my PC...

so the problem is that I have 4 GB of RAM, and the Task Manager displays now 2.6, when he showed generally 3.9 or more:

Help, please! Thank you!

Hi Kaloyan,

Thanks for the detailed response.

You use equal GB of RAM in two slots?

Since your system showing usable to 3.9 GB memory is perfectly fine for 4 GB of RAM, because some are reserved for your video card memory as long with other resources of your PC.

You want to keep the same size paired together in banks modules, if you do not, they will not work in dual channel mode. 2 x 1 gig in a Bank and 2 x 2 GB in another bank will operate in dual channel mode. If you put the memory of different sizes together in the same bank, like a 2 gig stick and a stick of 1 gig in the same bank, they will not work in dual channel mode. If you put a single strange stick of a bank on the slot 1, your memory will not work in dual channel mode.

Hope that the information provided is useful.
