Manipulation of table in LabVIEW

Hello

I'm doing a LabVIEW software in order to keep the flies.

I would to manipulate tables, but I am not able to do, it's too complicated for me.

To explain it, I thought that the best way to make an example in excel, but I can confirm that I work in LabVIEW with arrays.

I'm just lost in this manipulation of the table.

I hope that my example is pretty clear, it's really hard to explain, even orally.

  • Reading a table of labview

    I have a VI in labview that accepts an array of a .NET and reading it with DAQmx, a value of every millisecond.

    I do the same thing with Veristand 2011, programmatically.

    As far as I understand it, looks like I can do this in 2 different ways:

    (1) write some files that the stimulus profile editor can read and open it with the stimulus API profile editor

    (2) a custom device and use an entry for the table

    Am I missing something? I'm a noob with Vstand.

    There is an example of the expedition which does almost exactly what you want, and could be a good starting point of reference. It does not even require any written stimulus profiles or sequences in real time, because a real-time sequence comes with VeriStand designed for purposes of reading, and this example uses this one directly.

    The only difference is that this example is based on the type of waveform data, that has a setting dt and t0 in addition to the values there. But it's a trivial change to make.

    Look at this example of table Image located by launching the example Finder, OR by selecting 'Toolkits' and Modules > 'Vision' > 'Functions' and the opening of the Example.vi "ImageToArray".

    If you look at the schema for this example, the Subvi "IMAQ Create" has the option to configure for 16-bit images.

    New IAM for labview and will have to apply or when the user presses a button the data in digital controls 3 get stored in a table.

    and when the user presses the button again new values stored in the next line.

    I am not able to figure out how do it.

    You can use a 2d array that you store in a shift register. Use the "Add a picture" for a new line.

  • Manipulation of table (delete the lines which are > lines after them)

    I have a table of entry I want to manipulate.

    We measure a rotation device.  In the measurement sequence we want to display the data on a slope that is constantly growing, although when we let off the coast of the acceleration of our mobile device at the end of the test, we end up with a higher torque #s at the beginning of the sequence of RPM... which blurs our line of slope on our chart.

    For example, see the PNG attached on the table of torque/RPM torque.  I need to be able to cut the 2 first lines of the table that we need go less and more general in the line of torque sequence.  Throughout the test, we have a number of line 10 for example couple that is greater than the value of torque on line 11, so that we would need to cut the value of torque in line 10.

    I have attached the vi sub that I plugged in order to try it, but can't make it work.   I don't have to sort the table, but to remove the lines that exceed the lines after them... relatively to the value of rpm decreases constantly.  If I have a pair of value 2340/1869 in the row 1 & 276/1839 in row 2, I need rank 1 deleted.  But if I have a pair of value of 2509/1704 in row 12 & a pair value of 2493/1689 in the 13th row, I don't want to let the value of torque in (if possible) because it is a realistic appearance of the torque curve captured during the sweep of the power of the test.

    Any ideas?

    Today, I tried to write 2D array in a file with the 'writing on a spreadsheet file' function with the new 2011 (f2) of LabVIEW.

    But it generates the following results - all the data in a column (supposed to be column 2).

    By default, Excel expect point comma as delimiter in csv files. Change your constant from tab to a semicolon and everything goes well...

    Or open the file using the dialog box import Excel and tab as a delimiter in step 1 of the wizard.

    I agree with the previous post of the use of the attributes of variant for string searches. There is also the function "Interpolate 1 D Array" that might be what you are looking for because if you have sorted is the data you want to interpolate. If you have X of the data that you want to search, you can use the 'threshold 1 table d' together with the interpolation function. See picture attached for example.

    I have a question about how to export a table on the front panel.

    My panel shows before this Panel.

    I want to export it, but when I export in the simplified picture, it shows only the data without the color of the cell.

    Is there a simple way to export this entire table with cell color in a bitmap file or inside a sheet of Word?

    If the lookup table will always stay the same (for example, a character generator or something similar), you can put the values into a constant matrix 2D on your diagram, with the input as a column, the equivalent in the other value. When you need to search you use an array of index to return all values in the "input" column, search for it using 'search in table 1 d' and the index number that results allows you to index the data in the other column. If the values may change, so it is probably better to load a table control with your equivalent values from a file.

  • error when pass array 1 d by data in table pointer via Labview-built c++ dll

    I'm trying to generate a Labview VI to a DLL and let it be invoked by vc ++, by which a 1 d array is passed. However, I can't generate the DLL when you use the data pointer to the table, which gives the error like below:

    But, if I use the pointer to manage through the table, the generation is successful, error-free. I write something to call the DLL built labview, which basically reads 1000 double the data of an instrument.

    My questions are:

    1. why cannot generate DLLS with the data of table pointer. In this case, the argument of the function is as simple as a double array.

    2. for table handle pointer, when the resutls are incorrect and how to get the good ones.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

    BTW: I use Labview 2012 with Visual c ++ 2013 on Windows7 64 bit.

    I never needed to pass a table of LabVIEW handle external code. Search this forum for posts of RolfK, it is most likely to have posted such an example. I recommend that you keep things simple and remodelling your table a table 1 d 2D before moving on to external code and manage as a 1 d table (it's just a little extra math).

    Sorry I don't have a solution on why you can't build with a 1 d as a pointer of table table. If you post your project I'm happy to try to build (I'm on LabVIEW 2012, however), but as you said, it will rely on another machine, it seems more likely to be a problem with something on the specific computer where there is a problem.

  • How can you write a table to a file when you press a button in Labview 8.5

    I am new to LabVIEW, so I don't know if it's hard or not or can even be done. I have data I am gather and store it in a table in LabVIEW but I want to be able to take all the data table and write in a text or excel file. Another part I want is whether when a user presses a button, in which case they screwed up. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    It is not hard to do. If you have a main loop that collects data continuously, so you can wire just up the Boolean value control to a case structure, so when the button is true you write to the file. It is supposed to be a one-off, or are more than a rocker (which means that you connect so that the button is true)? You can also use a structure of the event. See the "New handler" example that comes with LabVIEW (help-> find examples).

  • Can I make my table to DataSet table 3d 2D data set?

    Hello.  I'm putting my data in a 3D Board.  I'm not really satisfied with the table 3D data set since that requires a large amount of manipulation of the table whenever I want to do something with the data - I do a lot of analysis, it's a pain.  It is reliable, but it takes space BD and is generally a pain.  I read here (post #6 & #7 if the link don't you shoot directly to it) a few messages by some respected LabVIEW guru they didn't see no reason to 3D tables used.  I was hoping someone might be able to point to a better solution to know how to store and access my data logically.

    I'm n channels of data acquisition (a while but I have will add to this later), that puts me in a table 2D with each line being the channel and the columns are the data points.

    I need to acquire multiple test runs a data value.

    I also need using data in each series of tests, average averages and check the test medium-sized operating are with a tolerance of the average general.

    I also need to be able to revive one of the test tracks if its average does not fall within the tolerance of the average general.

    I use the page in 3D as the series of tests table.  If I can then get some tests, I want to by selecting the corresponding page.

    I'm waiting to save all the test runs at the same time until the user selects to save the data.  Which means that the user has run the minimum number of test runs, and all have averages that fall within the tolerance of the average general.  I love this soley because this test will be carried out different several times for different of UUT and all data for this USE can be saved in a single file.

    I am currently save the file as a binary file (for my purposes of data backup) and then the user can also choose to save it in Excel, with each test on its own sheet.

    I thought to save after each race.  I don't know how add/replace the data in the binary file. I would rather not a separate binary file for each set of tests, but it's not a dealbreaker.

    The only way I see to avoid the 3D Board is back up after each series of tests.  This would mean that I would have a lot more handling of file (when they should be replaced, when the averages should be analyzed, etc..).

    Is the "save after each test cycle" approach that is generally used?  If so, it seems to me that file manipulation would be more prone to error than the manipulation of table 3D (maybe just for me I guess). Can someone tell me otherwise?

    Is there another approach that I have not thought or discovered here?

    I think that save after each test cycle is a safer and more reliable way to accomplish what trying to boot of all data and recording at the same time.  This way, if the program crashes, you don't lose all the data because it was still in memory.  The data had been collected so far are safely in a file.  Why do you think of file manipulation would be more subject?

    If you want to add an existing file, then you just use the position to set the file to set the pointer to file at the end of the file, after you open the file.

    You can also watch the TDMS file format because it has means of sorting and organization of several sets of data.
