Manufacturing of AS3 code backward compatible with Flash 8?

So I made a slideshow swf in AS3 only to find out later, it must be compatible with Flash 8... and in my estimation that as3 cannot publish to a Flash 8 swf, without any AS2... is anyway that I can do without having to rewrite the code? I'm fairly new AS, starting with 3 - so I really have no knowledge of AS2.  Any help is always greatly appreciated.

AS3 can be processed by Flash Player 8.  There is no solution possible workaround.

  • try to export a video clip, but it's not compatible with flash player 17. Help?

I'm trying to export a video clip, but it indicates that it contains features that are not compatible with flash player 17 and don't work every time, I tried exporting in different ways and using parameters different flash player, but nothing seems to work. It displays a message at the bottom of the screen, but I don't know how to solve this problem. Once I have try to export the adobe media encoder file opens and shows me a video file, but it lacks almost everything I did and is not what I'm trying to export. I hope you can help, thanks Caitlin

You cannot export the integrated H.264 video. If you try to put animations on top of some videos, do export you already, but it does not send through Adobe Media Encoder. There is also a checkbox to ignore the color of the scene and to generate an alpha channel. Do it too. You should end up with a MOV file that can sit on top of the original video, click, in After Effects or Premiere.

  • VSphere 6.0 backward compatible with vCenter 5.5 replication is?

At one point, the vSphere replication 6.0 compatibility matrix said that it is compatible with vCenter 5.5.  I think it was around mid-March.  Now, he seems to have changed and says vSphere 6.0 replication is only compatible with vCenter 6.0.  Is this true?  Are there plans to make vSphere replication 6.0 backward compatible with vCenter 5.5?

    Bill,

A decision was made not to support backward compatibility between replication 6.0 vSphere and vCenter Server 5.5 going forward.  This is the result extended and careful considerations affecting the provision of quality and consistent user experience for our customers using vSphere 6.0 replication.

Thus, vSphere 6.0 replication is officially supported with vCenter Server 6.0 only (SSO 6.0, 6.0 PC, Web Client 6.0).  This resulted therefore in the interoperability of public VMware product matrix.

  • Are modules Keyframe Caddy and Caddy Pro not compatible with Flash CC test key image if it is a trial version?

I tried both versions of the add-on, but I get a message in creative cloud 'installation of the add-on image key Caddy failed because it is not compatible with Adobe applications installed. See the compatibility section by clicking here.

    I use Win 7

Trial versions are full versions that expire. The only reason wouldn't 3rd extensions part is because they must be updated by the developer to support the new version of Flash. It looks like these extensions may require an update of dev.

  • Edge 20141 Animate not backward compatible with the 2014,0 documents

This is a request for Adobe:

Minor release revisions should not cause incompatibilities of project in .a in project files.

The update to animate dashboard 20141 (October 2014) cause of trouble in laboratory parameters. My students using 20141 on their personal computers can't open their work on 2014.0. All our lab computers have installed 2014.0. I can understand the incompatibilities of major revision, but minor revisions should be fixes bugs and updates simple and should not affect the created projects * yesterday *.

It's always frustrating, because we must appeal to our technical support staff any time that a minor bug fix is put up with CC.

In addressing this issue, how a person would go to update a project .a file to be backward compatible? Edge animate, no option exists to gain back.

Thanks for any help on this matter.

There is a work around. Open the file edge.js and replace the number 18 t0 20 online version

    version: "4.0.0",.

    minimumCompatibleVersion: "4.0.0",.

    build: "4.0.0.359."

Loading side older versions of Flash Player leaves your device at a significant risk of malware infection.  Versions of Flash Player for Android are 2011 and lack of hundreds of vulnerabilities disclosed publicly at this stage.  Install an older version of Flash Player on your Android device is a very bad idea.

The only decent option at this point for security is to use a browser based on a cloud that streams Flash content on your device, like:

Puffin Web browser - the fastest mobile browser with Flash support on cloud on iPad, iPhone and Android.

I have a 2011 iMac which I believe has a thunderbolt 1.0 port. Thunderbolt 2.0 works with this port as well?

Yes. Devices and lightning 2 connectors are retro-compatible with Thunderbolt 1. Obviously, you will have all the benefits of speed T2.

  • CC not backward compatible with the CS6... but why?

I understand that first Pro CC is not compatible with the CS6 PP but I don't understand why? In fact, Adobe gave a reason? It doesn't make much sense to me, some aplications of cc adobe are retro-compatible, but others are not... I'm puzzled.

It did not say why. There are applications that allow you to "save under" to an earlier version. Premiere Pro is not one of them.

There is really not much advertising retro compatibility. Most of the teams working on a project all have the same software. Even if subscribe you to the creative cloud you can always edit in Premiere Pro CS6 if this are the people you're working with the use.

The technical reason that is not compatible, it is that there are too many differences. The way the timeline tracks work, for example.

  • The Blackberry net_rim_api.jar 4.7.0 is backward compatible with the net_rim_api.jar 4.5.0?

Although a program written for Blackberry seems to compile on the two jde 4.5.0 and 4.7.0, one compiled with jde 4.5.0 fails to run properly on the storm (jde 4.7.0).

    It comes to compatibility mode.

You will defintely need two versions: one 4.5 and 4.7.

In fact, if you can compile on 4.2.1 I recommend this (instead of 4.5), especially if you compile a commercial application. The 4.2.1 code will run everything up to the 9000 "BOLD" (if you can compile on that).

  • Flash Media Playback - Compatible with Flash Pro?

Hi all, I recently stumbled on the drive Flash Media Playback, (http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-media-playback.html) and this seems to be an excellent solution for streaming video on a Web site. However, I wonder if we can somehow use the streaming service Flash Media Playback in Flash Professional. The FMP outputs only html code, so I don't know how or if it could be used in Flash, but it is seems not something that should be possible.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

The purpose of this product is to incorporate in HTML format. If you use AIR and use a StageWebView (which shows a native/HTML browser) then Yes you could. Otherwise, the aim is precisely NOT for Flash Professional. It is a backup player, which means he's trying to use HTML5/MP4 as a best practice. If it detects no mp4 support she descends to a flash/SWF player. The nature of all this is a copy and paste Media Player to use if you do not have Flash Pro.

It is based on OSMF, who is a player that you can use inside Flash Pro:

    http://www.opensourcemediaframework.com/

    API:

  • Backward compatible with CS5.5 CS6?

I have a bunch of machines, some with CS4, some with CS5.5, editing and I am looking for CS6.

I now use the demo, but the sequences and even the transcoded files may not be transferable to the PR CS5.5.

Is there a backwards compatibility at all?

    Thank you.

    wolv-

In fact - you can open the project first Pro CS6 in first Pro CS5.5

    How?

Open your project file in any text editor and change-> Version = '25' to-> Version = '24' (4th place)

After that - you can open it.

Make a copy of your project for backup.

    Hope this helps you.

  • Is Captivate 7 backward compatible with Captivate 6?

We are about to do a lot of work for a client that requires us to get about 10-12 licenses for Captivate. Already, we have had about 3 Captivate 6 licenses and thought that we would buy the remaining licenses of Captivate 6 7-9. We are now considering purchasing Captivate 7 and wanted to check if we could share project files between members of the team with 6 Captivate and Captivate 7 - or is it a case of a project created in Captivate 6 won't open/work in 7 Captivate and vice versa?

    Thank you

    Sean

    Hello and welcome,

Although you can open the CP6 CP7 projects some functionality will be lost. I checked everything, but if you use stocks advanced in CP7 then they just disappear when you open the project in CP6. There are perhaps more incompatibilities, but the good thing is that at least you can open projects, that wasn't the case for previous versions.

  • Is the directory of images 4.1 backward compatible with 4.0?

I use the same pages of HTTP server of databases running APEX 3.0, 3.2, 4.0, and soon 4.1. Usually, I have install images in separate directories and create a new alias dads.conf to point to it. This requires anyone upgrading to a new version to edit all their applications to point to the new alias. So I was wondering if the 4.1 images are a superset of the 4.0 images. 4.0 apps will still work fine if you use 4.1 library images?

    Thank you!

    Hello

APEX 4.0 apps won't work if you replace the existing files by 4.1 files.
