Manufacturing of Windows Media Player ".". WMA files"sound like a scratched CD

Windows Media Player has recently started playing all back '. " WMA files"as they were damaged / scratched CD being played.  But when I take these same files to another program of reading, they play perfectly.

When I start to read the file, I see the message "Change the media" and this may take a few seconds to more than a minute before the file actually starts to play.  Random playback when audio will jump sometimes, exactly in the same way he could play a scratched CD.  It repeats or taking a break before you continue reading.

Then when it arrives near the end of the runway, HE STILL blew.

After playing with it I finally understood that the jump at the end of each track has been the program of preparation for playback of the next track.  Because, when the next track begins to play there is no delay in reading.  But if I manually change the track then I get the message 'Change media' and delay important.  I think that the two are linked.

As I said before, it started a few weeks ago and occurs only with Windows Media Player.  I in other audio programs, IE. Creative, don't do that.

Furthermore, to the best of my knowledge nothing new has been added to WMP, IE. New Plugins, etc.

Any ideas on what is the cause and how to fix.

Thank you

Hello

The problem happens only when you play wma files?

Disable audio enhancements and see if that fixes the problem.

a. open peripheral Audio and sound themes by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking sound.
b. on the playback tab, click speakers and then click Properties.
c. click the enhancements tab, and then check Disable all improvements.

If you do not see the enhancements tab in the speakers Properties dialog box, these features are not available for your speakers, and this procedure is not applicable to the
your computer.

If disabling audio enhancements solves the audio problem you are having, this indicates usually that your audio driver needs to be updated. If disabling audio
improvements do not solve the problem, contact your computer manufacturer for assistance.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community!

I understand that the songs are duplicated in Windows media player 11. I will try to help you with this.

    (1) did you make any changes before the show?

You can rebuild the Media Player library which should deal with the issue.

Method 1: Delete the database of Media Player and look for the question.

    a. Click Start, click Run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.

    b. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    c. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Method 2: If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.

    b. Click Start, run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft and then click OK.

    c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Please let me know the status of the issue. I will be happy to provide you with the additional options that you can use to get the problem resolved in Microsoft Windows.

Any suggestions?

  • How to play. AVI in Windows Media Player 11 files?

    Hello.

I recently downloaded a. AVI movie. It plays fine in my Windows 7 PC with Media Player 12, but it does not give the video (it plays audio only) in my Windows Vista PC with Media Player 11. How can I solve this problem? Should I get a codec or something?

AVI is a container format called, the video itself to AVI can be coded in several ways. Lack of video but audio OK normally indicates that the codec required to play the file is not installed on your system.

I use the shark for Windows codec pack, it allows WMP to play almost any format of video files: http://shark007.net/

Download and install the codecs, reboot and you should be able to play your AVI video.

Another solution is to install and use VLC Playerfor free. VLC has all the required codecs built-in, as he usually plays almost all video files possible.

    Download VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/

  • 8 Windows media player says"files are too large to fit on a disk" when I try to burn a movie

When I try to burn my files utorrent movies, some of them have been able to burn, others would show a red x next to the titles that says that the file is too large to fit on a disc. Is it possible to solve this problem, do the smaller files, etc?

    Hi Rick,

    1. What is the format of the file you want to burn?

    2. What is the size of the movie file?

    3. What is the storage capacity of the disk?

    4. you try to burn on a CD or a DVD?

You cannot take more than 2 hours on a DVD FORMAT VIDEO unless you get a DVD double layer. If you burn a DATA DVD, make sure it's less than 4.3 GB for a single layer DVD and 8.5 GB for a double layer DVD. You can compress files, but the resolution will be less.

You can also use your search engine preferred to find software or applications to compress large files.
