• I can do a recovery drive, but it is not valid when I try to use it to restore or freshen up my PC.

  Update. Borrowed a USB (TP - Link Archer T2U) adapter, disabled the internal adapter in Device Manager and installed the TP-Link. Result is the same, the device is listed on the device as a manager working digitally signed drivers properly, but the adapter is not enabled.

  There is no software VPN on the laptop, I tried to disable the antivirus, run sfc scannow and off just in case where the driver signing. But in vain.

  Errmmm... Help?

  I m wondering why you started new thread on the Toshiba DVD Dock II network because I found another thread 2nd in this forum that you opened some time ago
  However, as the LAN card is already recognized in Device Manager, the issue should not be the missing LAN card driver, but from my point of few LAN connection has not been configured correctly.

  To be honest it of a long time since I worked with this ancient system in Win 98SE and I do not exactly remember the steps how to configure the local and internet network to help Win 98SE, but knowledge base Microsoft contain a lot of useful KB article on different themes.

  OK, so I turn on the printer power.  Thank you for that.  Reinstalled the printer, but I still cannot print.  I get so many error messages I can't keep track of them all.

  The error I got the best on the printhead wasn't working - 0xc19a0013 error.  Sought the french Center of HP solutions and has been made to clean the print head.  Did.  Still no print capability.  Then, search with Bing for this error and was directed to this Forum HP article on soak the print head in warm water.  Try this next because my printer sit without power for nearly a year (probably shouldn't have it, but oh, well done) and very probably the ink clotted and the print head must be blocked.

  If it works, I'll go back and mark this issue resolved...

  Adobe Flash Player is already preinstalled with Windows 8. Updates to it should be done through Windows Update.
