Rocket format?

The manual talks about the "rocket" of formatting. Which shaped to get rid of, and what's left? For example do the containers for music, podcasts, etc. remain or they are deleted?

Thank you very much - that's exactly what I needed to know!

Fuze will shut off randomly, then it takes a few seconds to turn on. After that I see the symbol of welcome, it says media refreshing and it takes about 5 minutes to complete. It is very annoying! Please a little help.

Normally, the "rocket" is enough to update the database on data transfers.  If the SD/SDHC card is not inserted, the database will not refreshing at startup.

I have an eye on the music files for problems with ID3 tags and album art files especially.

First of all, connect the "rocket" in MSC mode and check the memory of Sansa to find errors in the file system: right-click on my computer, and then select manage.  Click on the "rocket" and check the drive for errors.  Do this for the two logical drive letters assigned to the "rocket".

Don't forget that your ID3 tags are written with tags ID3 v2.3 ISO 8859-1 (Latin-1) .  Great use for this is MP3Tag, a free utility.  In addition, be sure that your JPGs for your music (cover) are 300 x 300 or smaller.  The images are not necessarily greater then 15 to 20 KB or more, otherwise, you can run into questions.

The "rocket" can freeze and possible can turn off if you try to play a corrupted music file.

A simple way to know is by following the steps above, or format the "rocket" and reload your music a few tracks at a time, to see that all is well.  Remember, the "rocket" Formatting erases all the data (media) of the device, so have copies ready to reload on your Sansa backup.

  • Rocket video format?

I'm trying to convert my own personal DVDs directly to Fuze-ready using DVD HD Decrypter files.  I don't want to use the Sansa Media Converter.  I want to be able to convert all the .vobs a big .avi in one step.

Can you please give us more information on the video format that is acceptable to the "rocket".  MPEG4 (SP) QCIF + 20 fps is not enough.  What is the big secret?  Here's what you should know:

    Bitrate

    Resolution of the image

  • A few songs in MP3 format plays on the rocket but play fine when I use the computer media player

I have a 8 GB Fuze with an 8GB expansion card and I downloaded the latest firmware (I think it is 2.3 something), but sometimes when I play a few Mp3s just make a high-pitched sound weird, fast and then move on to the next. When I have the "rocket" plugged into my computer the song plays very well. What could be the problem? Usually, I just delete the song from the "rocket" and charge from my computer music file, or if it does not work I use an application like Super of E - rightsoft to remake the song. A song won't work, however. Is it my computer or my rocket? I downloaded from OneTrackMind.com, which is a free, legal site to download new music, and it's just this song.

Thanks to you all! I really appreciated your kindness, but the problem was solved to redo the song at a slightly lower rate - 160 instead of 192. Odd, given that 192 is well within the range of the MP3 on the "rocket". It could have been a corruption of the original or a problem of tag file, I guess. I'm not a tech person. Again, thank you all very much!

  • Behavior of rocket after format change

    Hello

When I got the Sansa Fuze it was recognized and mounted under Linux as "Sansa Fuze 2 GB.  However, after using the command format under control panel, it is now mounts as virtual disk.  Basically, the format has changed somewhat under Linux.  I am also a sur.22 version of firmware.  Banshee now will communicate with the appliance, although other programs can e.g. rhythmbox.  I just want to know what could have caused this, that is, the changes made when a format command is executed and the version.22 of software changes how the device communicates?

    Thank you

    Byte

Although mlabel(1) reported that the device has a label.  I went ahead and replaced it with a new label.  It worked.  Now, build up the appliance with the volume as the name tag.

    Example:

    sudo mlabel(1)-i/dev/sdx: sansa fuze

  • Toshiba 640GB HDD Red Rocket - icon is missing

    Hi all

I bought a Toshiba 640 GB Portable external hard drive (Red Rocket) - HDDR640E04XR
    http://www.toshibadirect.com/TD/B2C/Adet.to?poid=451941

and even if specifically, I chose the option for NTFS, the installation program there in FAT32. Well I deleted my partition and reformat the drive to NTFS.

The problem is that his beautiful and colorful official disc Toshiba red icon is removed and is replaced by the icon generic disk hard windows (I use Windows 7 64-bit). Where can I download this icon of red color again? (she looked like the Toshiba external USB disk, red in color)

    Thank you!

    Hey Buddy,

I think that this special icon you want to say is stored on the local HARD disk. After formatting the entire HARD drive I think that it of deleted now and you can't do anything :(

You should ask a friend who has the same model. In my view, that your friend can give you the icon again, but another solution isn't known to me.

    Good luck! :)

  • Neon has mp3 rocket? When I download a song all of a sudden it will not go into my media, Y player?

No one there mp3 rocket? When I download a song now all of a sudden, it will not be displayed in my Media Player, why?

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?
    2. are you referring to Windows Media Player?
    3. What is the file format of the song?

When you play a file on your computer or on the Internet, the Player automatically adds the file to your library if it isn't already in your library. The reader does not automatically add a file that you play from removable storage media, a device removable storage, or on a shared network folder. For example, if you play a file that is stored on a CompactFlash card a data CD, or in a shared folder on another computer on your network, the player will not automatically add the file to your library.

    Method 1:

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

    Follow the steps mentioned below:
    Windows Media Player output.
    b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
    c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
    c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.

  • Why my rocket can not read my 32 gb sandisk microsd?

I bought a class 4 32 GB sandisk microsd for my v2 rocket, but it will not read it?  The card works fine on the computer, so I know that it is not a problem with the card.  Does anyone have any ideas how to get my rocket to read my sandisk microsd?  I have the latest firmware.  Thank you.

Well, oddly enough, even if it was formatted to factory and it worked perfectly Mobile files and playing songs when connected to the PC, it re-formatting XP seems to have solved my problem.  Now the player see and play the songs I put on it.  Obviously there is something about the file system fat32 on the map at the plant did not like the player - but not the pc-.  In any case, it seems that I solved my problem.  Thank you all for your comments.

  • How do I format my Sansa Fuze +.

I posted a message earlier today on a problem I had with the rocket + but im about half way through fixing it, I am now able to turn on the MP3 with that one problem is that a message comes up saying that there is a database error and that I need to format the device and then he said : the Sansa stops now, if im just wondering how do?

Plug it into the computer and see if its detected. Format in the computer. Also try to force MSC if it is not detected. When the meter is off, press and hold volume low and plug it into the computer.

  • Rocket + freezes when I try to view the music

I recently had the Fuze + 8 GB (and previously owned the original "rocket") and didn't notice the slowness in the display lists of music, moving by artists to the albums of songs, etc., but in the last days it's flat out freeze whenever I try to view my list of music.

I may have a large amount of music 6.5ish concerts/1300 songs and in the last days, I listened through my full music list, but this does not really explain why he keeps freezing.

Now when I turn it on, it will make up the screen of loading for a long time, freeze for a few minutes, when the loading thing stops lighting upward in a circle, then whenever I try to click on the music of the list 5 or 10 seconds later will go to a black screen and stay like that.

I just downloaded new firmware today (of course with the problem of loading screen it's not certain how the really accepted mp3 upgraded) and the Player responds very well to plug it into the computer and is recognized by the computer, but all the problems listed above are still visible.

My original rocket had another problem of gel at some point and I had to reformat manually by plugging a button on the computer, and I was wondering if I should do it, or if this problem is solved in another way.

While the rocket + is off, hold the button low volume while connecting to the computer. The device should then be recognized as a removable disk. Format the Sansa and reload your songs and I hope that You 'l' to get a faster browsing on the music list. I would also say that you download Mp3tag and make sure that the tags are set to ID3v2 (Id3v2.3 ISO-8859-1.

  • Convering videos w/SMC without immediately load on the rocket

I am a very happy owner of a sansa FUZE 4 GB. I recently started using the video feature and my approach to its use was a little different from how others use it I think... I have a large number of microSD cards which I Exchange with different segments of my library stored on them. Since it sometimes takes hours to convert video in a format usable by my player, I'm looking for a way of convert videos I want to look in the future. That is to say, I want to convert a large number of videos and store them on my computer somewhere for easy loading/unloading on the "rocket". The problem is when my memory fills up in the rocket, the converter stops working (actually he did something worse-it continues to run and then fails to save the output converted due to errors of memory on the target drive.)

what I want to do is specify a save location for the converted video output - looks like a microSD card in my drive or a usb flash drive or a directory on the local HARD drive. This way I can use my downtime to convert videos in my spare time, then transfer them to the "rocket" just before leaving my house for easy viewing.

Is there a way to do this? Now the only solution I have is to fill my rocket, copy all of the videos on a different drive, free up all the space on my rocket and then start again, the disadvantage of this method, it's that I can convert only 4 GB of videos at once - but I have a terabyte of content I want finally to convert. Any ideas?

Sorry, I misunderstood. I think what you're asking for was available on the 1st version of the SMC. SanDisk does not SMC; It is assigned to a different company. I can't remember if version 2 had that capability or not, but it was written by a company other than 1. So not the problem with these 2 versions old is that they were "pre Fuze" and that he supported it.

We are now on the 3rd version of the SMC, developed after the introduction of the "rocket", and if it is the same as version 2 software company, they removed the crop photo feature. Looks like it is 1 step forward and 2 reverse.

The last word of SanDisk here (which was a while ago), it was that they hoped to eliminate the need for MSC in total via a firmware update. But that may or may never happen. Have you seen this thread? Or this one? I agree that it would be a much more practical way to do it, especially with a large collection of videos to convert videos on your hard drive first and then loading them on memory cards as needed or wanted.

I did as you; convert the player and/or a card first, then moving them to my hard drive (empty the card) for long term storage and repeating the procedure. It can be a pain.

  • Audoaccess format with Clip

Y at - there anyone out there who has worked with the audioaccess files.

I hear that the sansa clip works with this file format.  I just

bought a Sansa fuze and no way he will allow me to move

Audioaccess files.  Can someone shed light on this situation.

In the future, I hope that audioaccess files will work on my rocket.

If no SanDisk knows anything about the audioaccess file format?

  • How can I remove all the info from WMP rocket?

    Hello

Recently, I synced my rocket to WMP and ripped CDs. But now when I plug my rocket in everything I see when browsing the content are the CD I ripped and not the music files that are also out there (who are not torn, just mp3 files). I went to the 'end sync partnership', a box came and I clicked 'yes '. But when I plug it again all I can see is the CD I ripped just once again. How can I remove all traces of my "rocket" from the computer? I'm out of ideas.

Thanks in advance, I hope you can help and that I explained myself properly

Hi, thanks for your response. Yes, I'm looking through windows Explorer. And the USB mode is automatically detect. I don't know what means MTP or MSC?

but you're right, I don't care if I could see all the files at once.

The problem is that when you use Auto detect mode the computer chooses what USB mode to connect to the computer. So, if your using WMP it uses MTP mode, but if your use drag and drop will use MSC mode, and when you connect to your computer you can see what has been added in the mode that you are connected to. So if you connect in MSC it is unclear to which has been added to PSG. If you want to add a lot of files with WMP, I'd say he bets on PSG here and let (you can use the drag and drop in PSG too).

To ensure that you can see everything that you can format your drive and then go to settings > system settings > USB Mode > PSG > press the Center button, and then reload the player.

  • Playlist like limit of 1000, regardless of format.

I get just myself set up on my new 2 GB Sansa Fuze + 8 GB uSD...

My style of music listening consists of a selection of song ~ 1800, and I am determined to make this work on the Sansa.

I have read through all the posts on the forum here and have managed to create playlists very large formats .m3u both .pla.

These large playlists play on the "rocket", with one important exception: they will scroll only the first 1000 songs in the list.  (NowPlaying displays 1/1000, 2/1000, etc and of course, after 1000/1000, he spends 1/1000)

I checked the rest of the songs are indeed in the playlist by typing the source files (.pla. pla.refs, .m3u) just behind the "rocket" in mode MSC - files beyond 1000 are really there.  It seems that the firmware reads just the first 1000 to and then ignores the rest.  (BTW, I made a playlist .m3u 950 song, and it worked 100% - so the comment that I had seen in a thread on a playlist 32K file size limit is debunked...)

    I think I'm with the last firmware - 2.02.26A.

Can anyone confirm the 1000 song limit or point out another method to create a playlist of 1000 + song will play the "rocket"?

    SansaConvert wrote:

Any indication of the development team that is on their to-do list?

I wouldn't hold my breath... the 1000 has been achieved only in a recent update of the firmware. It has been 250 or 500; I don't remember that.

They got the fish more wholesale & higher priority to fry right now on their plate. At the time where they move to it again (if it's even possible given limited available RAM), there will be a new player/model to replace the "rocket".

And given the history with Sandisk, the milli-second there is even a rumor that a model will be removed, all the stops development of firmware update and we, users are left out in the cold with our desires and wishes for a better device.

  • USING OVERDRIVE AFTER FORMATTING

My rocket was a mess so I decided to format.

I went to the settings but nothing in the system settings that says Format, so I formatted it on the computer. After that I tried to transfer Overdrive files (as I did for years.) I received the following message

A problem has occurred in the certification of the aircraft. OXCOOD2772

After checking the player, I see that the documents in the file were actually transferred and are now in the library of Windows Media Player. What have I done?

I would like to download from the Console of the Overdrive. Which lose when I formatted?

I lost firmware updates? Can I download updates again?

    Help, please.

If you're still reading, could you put the link to the upgrade of security Overdrive? (The script to post a link is the small icon of the chain, two places to the right of the right smiley above to top ^ ^ ^). This could help other people. In addition, if you could go back and change the subject of your first post (under Options) to say something like Overdrive to help after the in shape... it will help find this thread of people who need.

Thanks, I'm glad that it worked for you.
