Mass storage/storage volume

My Belkin usb reader/writer to support does not work, I checked my device manager & he said "VOLUME of STORAGE-
-GENERIC VOLUME
NO DRIVER INSTALLED
How should I do?

Most often when a device does not work, it's because the driver has been corrupted.

Try reinstalling your.

  • Need for Equium A110-147 mass storage controller

Hello. I have a satellite A110-147 running windows7 ultimate with 2 GB of ram and a 500 g hard drive.

In other devices in Device Manager, I learned that my mass storage controller drivers are not installed. When I try to update the drivers, I am told that drivers could not be found on my computer or on the web.

I would apreciate to help on that if possible please.

    Hey,.

If you n t post the seller and IDENTIFICATION of the device it is difficult to say which driver you need

Theoretically, mass storage controller could be linked to the internal card reader module. You can download it from the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

But I think that you must find for the Vista drivers as Equium A110 doesn t supports Windows 7, Vista only.
And you must search in * Archives * driver download page because it s an older model. ;)

    Hey Buddy,

    > Location: 3 PCI Bus, device 11, function 2
To be honest, this information is not useful
You should check the vendor and device IDS in the devices in the Device Manager.

At the present time it is difficult to tell what device it is, but you should try to install the card reader driver. Visit the Web from Toshiba for this!

  • Re: Satellite Pro U400-11V - mass storage controller

Whenever I turn on the camera, I get the message "New hardware" about "mass storage controller".

    How can I fix it?

Research on driver downloads is not one for this name.

It's strange. I mean when a certain piece of hardware is correctly installed, it is done with the installation.

A question: did you install your own operating system or what? Is when the operating system is installed with the Toshiba recovery image, this message will not appear.

  • Satellite A200 - Win 8.1: Mass storage controller yellow question mark

    Hello

After the installation of win 8.1 in old Toshiba A200 - everything is ok except the yellow question mark in "Mass storage controller" in Device Manager. So the sd card reader is useless.

Have an idea that is the driver for Win 8.1?

    Hello

Please don't get me wrong, but I hope you know how old is A200. Even more recent machines are not supported for Win8.
So, I can understand that you want to use newer OS on this old piece of hardware and if most of the stuff works pretty well, you should be satisfied.
In this case when you use 8 years machine designed for Vista and certainly not taken in charge for Win8/Win8.1... who cares about SD card reader. You know what I mean? ;)

Just disable the device in Device Manager and be happy.

  • Re: NB550D - 'No mass storage devices' during the installation of Windows

    Hello!

I recently bought a laptop Toshiba NB550D. It goes with Windows 7 Starter. So I decided to change the operating system, I want XP Pro or Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. Because the laptop is not a CD/DVD drive, I looked on the net for Windows USB installation.

Problem is that when I install the USB, with regard to the partitions, it says I have no mass storage devices. I tried with XP and Home Premium, used 2 different programs to make bootable USB (WinSetupFromUSB and WinToFlash) and I tried with 3 different USBs to be sure that the problem is not of them. Both seem to do the job, but it still says I have no mass storage devices. I read on this forum, found [how to integrate a SATA AHCI driver into a Windows XP installation CD | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm] thread. I tried this, make an ISO with the built-in driver, made an another bootable USB key with it, but still, when I reached the partitions, they seem to be missing.

I checked if the partitions will show if I start installing Windows directly from the Explorer to the laptop and partitions are then normally, so it seems that the problem only occurs when you try to install from a USB. But I want a * install own bootable *. I have no CD/DVD lens, so this isn't an option more.

I'm really out of options on the left, tried everything I thought, it seems that I'm not the only one having this problem, but found no solution to it. Even if I put up with the Starter (even if I don't like), the HARD disk is separated into 2 partitions the two 116GB which is also very annoying.

I'd appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

P.S. I also installed the latest drivers, BIOS seems to be too, but still did not help.

    Hey,.

    Which AHCI driver, I joined?

Article you found how is just an example and is written for models with Intel chipset. I checked the NB550D specifications and this model has chipset AMD A50M, so you need another driver and the Intel driver will not work.

So if you are looking for Toshiba NB550D European driver download page, you will see a driver called AHCI driver. This package contains the correct AHCI driver, but the problem is e for Windows 7 only. For obsolete XP it will not designed more pilots and that AMD is brand new. There is no old drivers.

If you want to only Windows 7 Home Premium that s no problem. Therefore, you can use the mentioned AHCI driver. For example, to create a new Windows 7 bootable USB key with this driver and installation should work fine. :)

  • Satellite M100 - driver for the mass storage controller

Help, please. I don't get the hat of message I have no driver for my mass storage controller. I downloaded and re-downloaded the drivers of Toshiba. Microsoft found nothing.
It seems to be bus PCI 5, device 6, function 2.

Can anyone help (in terms laymans terms please). It drives me crazy.

    Thank you

    Hi Tellgio,

What Toshiba drivers you have reinstalled exactly? I'm pretty sure that you don't have installed all the drivers because you always have a yellow exclamation point in Device Manager
In addition, it would be interesting to know what operating system is installed

I also had a yellow exclamation on mass storage controller and in my case it was a missing card reader driver. If you need to install this driver on Toshiba official site:

  • Vista drivers for Satellite Pro M70 mass storage

Hello everyone. I would like to know if there are and where I can download updated device driver for my Satellite Pro M70 (PSM 75-E) mass storage. I tried searching but I found nothing.

All other drivers are ok. Infact for audio drivers I used the Xp one and it's ok. The only one who is not installed is a 'mass storage device' I think it's for multireader memory card. Can someone help me? There is a way to install the Xp drivers as for any other material?

    Thanks for any response.

    Hello

Driver Toshiba page provides all the Vista for the Satellite Pro M70 drivers!
Only the BIOS and driver Vista BT's are available for this laptop.

I checked the XP section and Cardbus driver and Chip Set Utility are available.
I guess that these two applications are required.
I m do not know if you will be able to install these utilities on Vista, but a train is free.

If the two applications will not work I guess you have to refrain from the use of the reader of memory card on Vista.

  • Qosmio X 500 - mass storage controller - cannot install drivers

Hi everyone, this is my first post.

I tried to find an existing thread but without success.

My Qosmio X 500 (PQX33A-06C02C) started running VERY, VERY slowly.

I have run some diagnostics and found the following error:

Device drivers are not installed (Code 28)
    Mass storage controller
    PCI\VEN_1217 & DEV_8130 & SUBSYS_FF501179 & REV_01\4 & 91e2 111...

I looked in Device Manager and tried to update the drivers, who does not.
I uninstalled the drivers and rebooted the laptop to try to force the discovery and installation of the device drivers /, who do not have.

I drove by the drivers on the support page but can't seem to match one up with the details of the error.

Now, my last resort would be to return the laptop to factory settings, but I would avoid rather than to I can, mostly because I don't know if it will fix the problem.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • Impossible to safely remove external USB HDD - ejection of mass storage device problem

    Hello

I have a 250 toshiba external hard drive. "When I go safely remove device and click on stop, guests me that ' ejection of mass storage device problem and try later.

Is there a reason for this? As I have heard it is dangerous to pull the cord without stopping it first.

This happens usually when something is always access to the USB - HDD.
Yes, it s dangerous to pull on the cable, because you can lose some data and the file system may be damaged. But if you have a situation where you need the drive to take with you and want to just get out the cable to the USB port there is a little trick to disconnect the security apparatus:

Do right click on 'My Computer'-> click on Hardware-> click "devicemanager"-> go into "diskdrives"-> then you need to click on the drive that is your USB - HDD-> with the right button and then click on 'Properties'-> in the menu properties of this drive, you must go on "policies" and click on "optimize for quick removal"-> and then click OK and exit this menu and all-> perform a reboot-> closing information fact. :)

After that, it s safe for remove you your drive even if it s not ejected. :)

  • Unposted on Satellite A100-680 mass storage controller

    Hello
I have a Satellite A100-680 (PSAA9E) that has worked, XP Home, for about two years. Very satisfied!
I decided to upgrade to Vista Business, which worked very well (actually impressed by the ease of installation).

The machine works perfectly, there is only one irritating factor - under Device Manager - other devices I have something called mass storage controller and is not a driver loaded. I tried to locate one, but I have no idea of what to look for.

Vista at one point suggested some Texas Instrument PCI device, but... Let me this way... Fortunately I have not reinstall because I had made a backup of the disc image.

Can anyone give me a tip that I should look for.
    Thanks in advance
    Hans

Really nice, your installation of Win Vista worked all right.
For this device not recognized, I also think it's the Texas Instrument card reader.

    Go: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

And download the Flash Media Driver and maybe the SD memory Format. Install them, reboot and the unit must be installed without any problem.
