Max-associations
What will happen for clients connected to an AP if I change max associations on it at a higher value?
The users are removed or re - associate with another AP? I just wanted to check and make sure before I make this change while users are connected.
change this and other settings on 'dot11 ssid' will cut * all * users and force them to reconnect

I'll put up the master NTP server on Catalyst 4000 series switch. I want to implement authentication between the server and the client. I have the following commands is not working.
What's wrong with the commands below?

NTP-1 xxx md5 authentication key
authenticate the NTP
NTP master 6
NTP max-associations 10
Client:
NTP-1 xxx md5 authentication key
authenticate the NTP

I think there are two separate issues here and they are not really related to each other. It is a question if your switch must be configured as master ntp. If the switch is configured as master ntp, then it will offer his version of time that it is authoritative or not (either correct or not). I think it is a bad idea and hope that this is not something that you did intentionally.
The other question is why the switch is not hours of instruction from the marine server. It seems that there are several reasons why this can happen. It is possible that the NTP requests you are not to get on the server or the server responses aren't you. My guess is that it probably is, since the show ntp association does not show a reference to the server of the Navy clock. Or it is possible that the NTP response is you but there's not enough variability in traffic through the network switch is not able to synchronize with the server. I saw a customer network when it's a problem for a while.
I would say the next step could be to debug ntp package and see if you send to the correct address and see if you have found answers.

With the help of MAX vs Teststand for switching
Can someone explain what is happening here?
I went to MAX and gave all my or alias switches (MUX). This is the tab of channels/exclusions. According to the diagrams tab is a road named column groups. I can give my Relay connection (as close to relay 2) alias here... like 'Close Relay 2 '. If I click on relay 2 on the diagram, it shows a link between ch2 and com. Fine. Now when I go in Teststand > tab properties > switch > activate the change... I have the 'operation' 'Connect' Is - this redundant? I already connected when I called him. If its Teststand because does not know what I want, when I call this particular alias he "cut" when I select disconnect from the drop down?
You would say I leave ALL my relay open in MAX and just 'Connect' 'disconnect' in Teststand?
Can you suggest what should be the other options though:
I want to connect 1 or several relay for this sequence, do tests, then disconect the relays? -What connection Liftetime? So 'Step '?
What is multimode and when and how to use it?
Included some screenshots
Thank you!
Clint
Hey Clint,.
NEITHER Switch Executive exists in MAX and TestStand (and LabVIEW, etc.). You can program individual routes to TestStand, or you can beforehand create complex route groups to the MAX, and then call the road/route groups TestStand. Suppose for example that you want to connect A to B, C, D, E and F, you can create a great course called 'channels' band in MAX, then add explicit connections to this group of ranges (from A to B, C, D, E and F). You simply connect 'great channels' now in TestStand and NI Switch Executive will do the rest.
While you can connect channels in MAX, the intention is that you create route groups in MAX and then use these groups of road to the test (if for no other reason than TestStand is automated so that MAX is not). At the end of the day, you can use the SW but you wish to, but we intend to the run-time execution to automate in teststand. Think that MAX is the debug/configuration environment.
Connection Lifetime is how long the relays must stay in touch. For example, inflicting on life 'Step' means that, after this step TestStand is completed, the relay will be disconnected.
Desktop mode is the concept that a relay can be connected more than once in the software. Until the connection number is 0, the relay is open. If the number of relays is greater than 0, then the relay is closed. For example, suppose that you have two different tests that can run simultaneously, and they share the same relay. Specifically, 1 tuberculin relay A and B, while the tuberculin 2 relay B and C. If you are able to run both events at the same time (function of your DUT), then when you connect test 1 and 2 at the same time, relay A and C will be all both have a connection of 1 account (they were connected once), but the relay B will be 2 connections. Thus, when testing 2 finishes and disconnects its associated relay, test 1 could still be running; Since the relay B will have a connection of 1 account after test 2 'disconnects' relay B, relay B will always be closed and 1 test will not be interrupted. The concept takes a minute to wrap your head around, but finally it is quite powerful.
OR Switch Executive is a very powerful program. Once you've played a little with it for a bit, it is intuitively easy, but there is a curve of rampup higher compared to our other software program switch (OR-DAQmx, OR-Switch, etc.). OR Switch Executive is particularly well suited for TestStand.
Let us know if you have any other questions or if my answers are not clear. Have a great day!

Code error-70012 and MAX freezes
Hello
I'm relatively new to LabVIEW, and I met a rather frustrating problem...
I have a VI that operates a stepper motor. It was working fine until I rebooted. When I tried to run the VI after reboot, I met me-70012 error code and the error message "motion: ID illegal Council.» You must use the ID assigned to your controller able and Automation Explorer Board."
I thought it was rather strange, especially as it was working before reboot. When I tried to access a panel of testing to the PXI-7342 via NI MAX, MAX froze and gave me an unsepcified error message.
In my VI, the ID of the map is specified as a strict type definition.
My equipment:
PXI-7342 (two axes not to not/Servo Controller)
MID-7602 (2 axes integrated power supply)
PXI-8119 (Controller)
Also, I can't seem to get the driver output fault (red) and the pilot light goes out inhibit (yellow) on the MID-7602. The lights are on for all axes, even if I only have a climber attached to axis 1.
I tried to reinstall the hardware OR of the motion.
The PXI-8119 is a machine not connected to the network, so I doubt if there are updates that originited Online has incorporated without my knowledge.
Thanks for any help! It will be much appreciated.
I would also try to follow this KB: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2C7480E856987FFF862573AE005AB0D9?OpenDocument
It may there have corrupted the associations between the pilots and your PCI card.

XY Graph-Y-scale visible on the scale of Y corresponding watch still false Max and Min
Hi guys,.
I use the XY graph to display the data with 3 Y-scales.
When I put any scale Y property visibility to False, its display even the Y scale Max and Min range lines in the plot area of the chart and cross line or additional parallel line with other visible scales.
Attached to the page Ref.
And I know that the cross-line may be due to different ranges of scales is defining. But the XY graph does not show the scales are invisible and possessions as well.
Please provide your suggestions to avoid this.
Scales and lines associated with these scales are separate properties. I've never tried and now I'm not in front of a computer, but should have properties for the definition of the grid line color. Implement transparent.

Cannot rename the old DAQmx tasks via NI MAX
Hello
I NI MAX 15.3 and DAQmx 15.1.1 installed.
I am facing a strange problem. When I try to rename any task DAQmx via NI MAX, I get this error message:
The thing is, the chosen name is NOT in use and does not contain illegal characters! (I tried several names, including "X" and "MyTask"). The same thing happens to the tasks associated with devices, simulated and real devices.
The other weird thing is, I can create a new task from scratch, and I can rename this task without any problem. However, I am still not rename my old tasks.
I suspect some sort of corruption of database NI MAX. How can I find the cause and fix?
EDIT: more signs of corruption: if I delete something 'new', nothing happens. If I delete something 'old', NI MAX silently crashes to the desktop.
Thank you!
You can reset the database to MAX through the link below: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2C7480E856987FFF862573AE005AB0D9
Also make sure the backup and try if it works.

cRIO appears in MAX, but he can't see in LabVIEW, why?
I had to hang a cRIO-9012. I can see it in MAX, buy do not see it in LabVIEW. LabVIEW is a PXi-8195 installed on the same network, but it doesn't seem to find the cRIO. While setting up to MAX, I got the following warning; "... you enter the subnet mask is the target and the door of entry into two subnets. ». The entry door is not specified, so I'm not clear on what that means. I ping the cRIO from the command line, and it appears in MAX, is visible on the network. LabVIEW just don't see it when I try to add to my project. Any thoughts?
I guess you look at something like that? http://forums.NI.com/NI/attachments/NI/280/1546/1/no%20cRIO%20Target.jpg
This occurs when the NOR-RIO is not associated with your LabVIEW installation. What version of LabVIEW you run? NEITHER RIO 2.4.1 supports up to LabVIEW 8.5.1, if you use 8.6, you use NI RIO 3.0 or higher.
If this is not the case, simply install NI RIO 3.0 will fix probably the problem.
In regards to the subnet is the thing:
The reason that a device on another subnet does not appear in the list of 'existing or peripheral targets' in LabVIEW is because it only goes to search for the same subnet, your computer is on. If it was looking for all possible IP addresses, should be... forever. It's one of the reasons for which subnets were created in the first place. If your cRIO and your computer are in different subnets, LabVIEW automatically find it. You can add it manually by selecting "Existing device on the remote subnet" and typing in the IP address. Or you can go back to MAX and place them on the same subnet.

My camera no longer appears in MAX on a PC. How do I unlink to select another driver?
I accidentally selected the wrong driver for my camera in MAX, which caused the camera to disappear from the Group devices and Interfaces. How can I separate the camera so that I can choose a different driver?
This camera works on other PCs (with the correct dirver installed of course) and other cameras still appear in MAX on this PC.
Thank you!
It turns out that there is a very simple solution to this problem. I simply unplugged the device, uninstalled the device in Device Manager (right-click |) Uninstall) and plugged the unit in.
Until I read your post, Vladimir, I had not considered that the problem is persistent at the level of the windows. I thought that the association must have been somewhere in the software OR running on the computer. Thank you!

ITSS.dll error on Vista x 64 running MAX
Vision Acquisition software I installed 2009 on a PC of Vista 64 - bit with a card PCIe-1429. When I open MAX and select the camera associated with the card PCIe-1429, I get this message: "C:\Windows\System32\itss.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or support software provider. "(see attached screenshot). I tried VAS2009 repair and resettlement; I always get this error message. The itss.dll in the system32 folder is dated from 11/02/2006 and is the version 6.0.6000.16386.
Try to save the DLL on the first computer and copy the file from the second. I would have thought that reinstalling would have fixed a problem with the DLL but it would be worth it.

FireWire Camera disappeared to MAX when you select the driver NOR-IMAQdx
Hi, as the title suggests, I'm having a problem getting my camera firewire (a PixeLINK PL-A742) appears in MAX so I can use it in my application. First of all, a bit of history.
It was all works fine on an old computer (Windows XP SP3, LabVIEW 8.6.1, NOR-IMAQdx 3.2).
We just received two new computers. They have Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit installed on them, then we are stuck using that (I was going to install labview in XP Mode, but there is no support for firewire, which no longer works). After finally getting installed labview (to run the setup.exe from Distributions\LabVIEW-ENG\LabVIEW861\, rather than make the autorun) we cannot get this camera to work. It works very well with the PixeLINK pilot (and Capture OEM program that accompanies it).
So here is what I tried, and what happens when I do.
(1) install cost of LabVIEW (including IMAQdx 3.2) and PixeLINK drivers.
(2) at this stage, the camera works very well in the PixeLINK application
(3) start MAX. It detects the camera and shows under devices NOR-IMAQdx. When you click on the camera, it informs me that the selected device is not currently associated with legacy OR-IMAQ driver IEEE or the driver OR-IMAQdx. This is perfect, it is supposed to do.
4) click camera > driver > choose NOR-IMAQdx IIDC camera digital
(5) he then disappears from MAX (no record OR-peripheral IMAQdx more). If I goto windows Device Manager, it comes under National Instruments IMAQ Interfaces as NOR-IMAQdx IIDC camera, says the pilot did get properly, it just does not appear in MAX more...
(6) at this point, there is nothing I can do to get it back to the MAX (except in Device Manager to switch the driver on the PixeLINK one, then he pops up and we return to step 3)
So, any ideas? This could be a problem with firewire interface and not the camera? I use the FireWire on my computer. It presents itself as Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI compatible host controller in Device Manager.
Here are a few screenshots to help illustrate my problems.
It is the initial configuration using the PixeLINK driver.
It's MAX with the PixeLINK driver
As soon as I click on the NOR-IMAQdx IIDC camera, it disappears
And here's what it looks like in Device Manager after you have selected the NOR-IMAQdx driver
Anyone have any ideas? I'm open to anything. At this point, I'm completely at a loss to know what to do.
Thanks in advance,
Devin

Well, you can just ignore this message now. I solved my problem. I installed Vision Acquisition software 2009 and it seems to have solved my problem.

Z210 - temperature max of CPU &; cooling concerns
My Z210 has 16 GB of RAM, a V5900, 2x15K + controller SAS drives video card, a 10K SATA-3 Player and a small SSD.
RealTemp reports on a typical day, four cores run from 28 ° C to 58 ° C, depending on the load.
Specs on this CPU show a max of 69.1 ° C temp.
I would like to widen the gap between the highest temperature and max, if there is a way. Might be a little overkill. I don't see any additional fan for the CMT (small Tower) case option. Is that what I could do to cool the computer a bit more?
DRM for your help!
Phil and Skylarking,
I did some research, convoluted and here's what I discovered. I think that you have found, Phil, is for a rear chassis fan. Here's the info on the card holders guide/fan front frame for your workstation and other listed workstations. I saw that a model of HP associated kits front fan over time... a kit at a very reasonable price which includes holder/maps of fan guides plastic black of the workstation several different and a single fan that fits inside included plastic parts. I guess you're supposed to throw the others. It is important to purchase the HP kit before they have passed, because the individual parts become hard to find and expensive, later.
The image of the kit for your workstation shows 3 different guides/owner and a fan. The black plastic holder/guide you would use is upstairs in the Center. Note that the one in upper right is only a fan... support no guide slots are present on this one. Don't know what work, but most likely is for the Z600/Z800:
Here is a photo of a chassis fan of this workstation and with that color, that I'd be willing to bet that there is a fan with two bars of orientation that HP has used on other workstations for their fans to chassis. They had that same color brown-orange apertures, for 4 pins, the usual order of wiring PWM, but only the thin lips of direction along each outer edge of the card. This is in contrast with that HP has used as fan plug ends for memory and chipset, fans, which have 3 bars of orientation. If you look at the motherboard fan headers, it is easy to see the difference between the two types. Header of motherboard PWM type (usually white) Cap common 3 grooves will a plastic tab sticking up which only runs the width of 3 of the 4 pins. 2 HP fan PWM header Ridge chassis plug (usually brown-orange) motherboard will have a tab that runs the entire width of all 4 pins. On my xw6600s memory 92x92x25mm fan and the rear frame paired two cooling fans are the same exact PMW fans except for their part numbers and use of the two different types/colors of the fan plug ends. The chipset fan plug is also the type of the white Ridge 3.
Newer workstations such as the Z620 are moving away from these conventions, to a certain extent.
The chassis before cooling fan on the xw6600 header is for type 2 Ridge connector 4-wire fan, and I've personally seen that also for the xw6400, xw8400, xw8600, Z600 and headers of fan before the Z620 of the workstation. On the Z620 with that I helped yesterday 2 type of crest of the fan before care was white (instead of the usual color brown-orange HP uses for their taken chassis cooling fan).
However, the fan will be in the kit and you will get the case HP PWM cooling scheme they have designed in. I bet it will be the fan in the kit, perhaps without the plastic grid, and those who are nice and quiet:
If you try to buy by itself you will pay a lot... but check the price for the complete kit from HP below. The 'Option' HP part number for the kit is A2Z46AA:
Compatibility is always a problem, and expanding this link from HP homepage, you can see the official info from HP. Your CMT Z210 is included. The same fan and the greatest guide support/card fan in the kit would be used for larger jobs. After working on Z620 recently I think that his kit is different, in the way, and is not in the list of compatibility. Its front cooling fan looked like a 120mm. Here is the list of your kit:
I also found the PDF which shows how to do the installation, and you can find with a goggle «Z210 front fan and fan Support Facility» research It's attached below.
I posted here recently on how to "Ghetto Mod" to add to a price in a front 92mm fan to enjoy the front fan on motherboards xw6400/xw6600 header, and leave the PDF file, it seems that method would work here too. However, $ 15.00 for the complete kit of HP I would go the Mod 'official' way instead.

support for files with extension .max-cannot open files
I got a HP with Windows 98 computer. When I got a newer computer, I downloaded the scanned files of visoiaire scanner on the new computer with windows XP. Files are associated with the program file extension. MAX. I'm unable to open files with windows XP. I'm technically incompentent. Y at - it a to change extension of files or open with Windows XP? detailed instructions will be appreciated.
That's what Filext.com about MAX:
MAX file type is primarily associated with "PaperPort" of ScanSoft Inc. file: PPPAGEVW. EXE. Also captured by Visioneer Page view. If you have been sent a photo of a person in this format, try using the Viewer. If this does not work for you ask them to send the image in a format, you can display.
This means that the Visionaire scanner connected to your old Win98 computer has been configured to save the files analyzed in this proprietary format. The Viewer for this format - pppagevw.exe - no doubt has been installed on the Win98 computer, when the scanner was installed.
Unfortunately, your new computer is that Viewer, you need to get here (go to the bottom of the page): http://support.visioneer.com/products/Tools/Utilities_2000_XP.asp

I CHECKED THE NUMBERS YVERT NEWSPAPER ARCHIVE SEQUENCE 12 [HELP LOGMINER] MAX PARTNER RCS TO ARCHIVE LOG ARE 670242
in fact, it's really smart.
First of all he must know the sequence 12, next_change # is not belongs to 12, but it is up to the 13th first_change of sequence...
So in the real world, the number of sequence 12 change is only up to 670245 and 670246 variation represents the variation of departure of the numebr 13 sequence.
It does not use any real time applies, as now by the my conclusion that precedes the sequence number last change is only 670245, according to the concepts of recovery... If you want to perform a recovery of change up to 100, you must speak as 'up to 100 + 1', i.e. of 101... So if you mention 101 then it performs recovery up to 100.
(1) the 12 sequences change max is 670245
(2) when it performs recovery until this sequence, then then it usually performs recovery to the 6740244 according to the rules of recovery.

Still at this stage do not give 100% conclusion, even test you use log miner and will let you know of course...
-WHY IN MAX (SNA) LOGMINER IS NOT SHOWING AS 670246?
When you analyze the file of archive redo log, did you use the hours start and end times? Note that if you give little time to end there's less chance to truncated to collect information to undermine journal and important thing is written Oracle of information amount of control and change in terms of metadata information in headers. Also note that oracle uses some CHANGE of SYSTEM files, so some of them may not visible.

If you would care to post, CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for some sample data and the results you want from this data, then I could test it.
What happens if there is a tie for the final event_timestamp (i.e. 2 or more lines with the same exct run_code and event_timestamp)? You can use the analytic ROW_NUMBER function instead of MAX.

Oracle 11.2.0.2.0
Using UTL_FILE, I can read the text file inot successfully in the associative array.
Now, I need to perform an advanced treatment of the values that is easily done with SQL, but for this the values should be in nested, no associative table. Is it possible a secret in another?
Thank you.
P.S. I am aware of the external tables and other means of data processing, but what I basically need is the ability to make SQL on associative arrays.declare infile utl_file.file_type; v_line varchar2(100); v_max varchar2(100); i integer:=1; type t_lines is table of varchar2(100) index by binary_integer; tab_lines t_lines; begin begin inFile := utl_file.fopen('ORADUMP','table.dat','R'); loop utl_file.get_line(infile,v_line); tab_lines(i) := v_line; i:=i+1; dbms_output.put_line(v_line); end loop; exception when no_data_found then utl_file.fclose(infile); when others then dbms_output.put_line(dbms_utility.format_error_backtrace); dbms_output.put_line('error ' || sqlcode || ' '||sqlerrm); end; --How to do something like this? --select max(column_value) into v_max from table(tab_lines); end; /

I'd use a table nested from the beginning, but how to fill only one value at a time, during the reading of the file? Sorry, I didn't do well the answer in these examples...Basic idea
declare l_nested_table sys.odcivarchar2list default sys.odcivarchar2list(); begin l_nested_table.extend; l_nested_table(l_nested_table.count) := some_value; end; /

Checklist to upgrade RAM and rules of thumb for HP Probook 4540 s
Hi people, I had a 4540 s HP Probook with 4 GB of RAM (DDR3 1600 MHz PC3-12800). I need to know the checklist for upgrading the RAM. In alternative to the RAM slot, insert a map of 8 GB RAM to make a total of 12 GB? CPUz tells me that my current RAM

The only way that my Tungsten E seems to be able to be fully charged is when it is activated. It takes about 2 minutes to indicate the level of the battery fully charged when the and never completely fresh when loaded in the OFF position.
