Maximum Bit depth and maximum quality, unnecessary with CUDA?

Hey people,

I don't understand. I know that both of these Options are in normal use.

BUT I don't know if there is a difference in my result in my special workflow.

I turned on RED 5 K, Davinci, exported in the form of Prores4444, having at first in 4 K timeline to export a 4 K Prores4444 for DCP Mastering classified.

When I'm starting to, I would say that rendering maximum quality because I am staggering 03:55 and maximum depth also due to some graphics that I add on my calendar. BUT I red this article from Adobe:

CUDA, OpenCL, the Adobe Premiere Pro and Mercury playback engine | Creative blog Cloud by Adobe

Here I understand well that while exportiing with CUDA on a GPU (I have installed GTX980), scaling operations ALWAYS operate on a maximum quality and export on gpu work always in 32bpc color. Is this correct?

If this isn't the case, I don't understand bit prores depth settings in my case. Prores4444 is a little 12 Codec - so when I export and let off all will be encoded with 12bpc, right? Under the maximum depth, I have 4 options: 24, 36, 48 and 64-bit. I think that 24 bits is 8bpc, 36 is 12 PCBs, 48 is 12bpc with alpha and 64 is 16bpc.

Why should I use 24 with PRORES as an export option? It takes 64 all the time or is it unnecessary because it's a little 12 Codec anyway?

You're right on works of PP.

I have no info on the issue of ProRes that I simply never use it.  There is a little 12 option Cineform which might work for you, however.

Can someone explain what the relationship between the color of a file profile and he has little depth, if there is a relationship?

It is not a. Bit depth tells you how many nuances a pixel can have (256 shades of gray in an image in 8-bit grayscale) while the color profile tell you how this pixel looks really (he transforms a number like 255/0/0 in a specific shade of red in the case of sRGB)

    Yes!

It's a question more difficult - it may be a 'set of proceedings' for this!  Those with over all the evidence must not present... sounds like old Rooster Cogburn speaking!

So, let's have some fun and see who can really take over this issue!

No, there is no procedure in one click for her...

    1. There is no way to upgrade from 32 to 64 bits. You will need to clean install 64-bit.
    2. Easy transfer requires a computer to work at each end, not a computer attached to an external drive, because it is easy to transfer must be installed and running in the appropriate bit for each operating system version.

As you have two internal drives, it should not be hard to install 64-bit on what is currently the second disc, ensuring that you first disconnect the drive that contains the 32-bit operating system.

Subsequently, you can reconnect the 'old' data from drive and transfer of starting from one to the other, but just do NOT use Easy Transfer.

To finally get rid of 32 bits, you format the partition that contains...

  • Playback bit depth

    Hello

We are on the latest version of PP and have a pipeline full 10-bit to our instructors.  We have DNX 185 X media on the timeline, and there is no indicator yellow rendering.

During the break out is full quality - no problems.  When rub us or hit play the quality decreases what I expect, it's 8-bit output.

I double checked and the playback quality IS set to complete in the menu Viewer key quality. Also the Maximum bit depth and the Maximum render quality are also both verified in the installation sequence too!

To make things worse if you change this clip on HDCamSR band nature of the bands/8 bit disappears during the snap!

I need to know how reading in full 10-bit so I am editing and scouring etc.

  • For dissemination of TVC video bit depth? (and the request for audio levels)

Bit depth - does anyone know if the export to the maximum depth is a problem to stream TV?

    Export Settings-2.jpg

I am about to download a TV spot 30 second to Adstream and want to get some feedback on the technical specifications before making, because they charge my client by upload, so no matter what mistake I make costs them.

I have now a few new options PPCS5.5 and TEA that I didn't have before.

Also, anyone know the audio level required for broadcasting... When I use Final Cut Pro suites for broadcast, I learned by direct feedack of Adstream it should be less than or equal to-9 dB on the counters.

    Timeline.jpg

So currently I export the Audition sequence then finalize the audio with the "hard limit" effect to a constant level to-9 dB.

By the way, if anyone wants to chuck in a few tips general progress be my guest, I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of people experience.

For animations TVC my workflow consists currently of-

    Clapper is a nested sequence

TVC is a dynamic linked AE project

    Audio is sweetened in hearing

I am in New Zealand and know the Adstream specifications.  You will find that they are very focused on the Mac.

    Don't worry "bit depth".

Just to confirm, Adstream has accepted the material that has been treated to a 'higher bit depth"without any hitch.

    It's kind of feeling...

    Summarizing my understanding...

Checking the box next to "make maximum depth" will make the file using all data available for the file color, but will always be 'resigned' (as you say Jim) 8-bit according to the format... (this is exactly what happens if you choose to export to Quicktime h.264 as I do for broadcast). The size of the file to finish a little more grand, that tells me that there is more data (and quality) kept in the final video (as you would expect if you check the box.)

Here's a snipit of the media info that confirms the final bit depth = 8bits

    Format                                   : AVC

    Format/Info: Advanced Video Codec

    Format profile: [email protected]

Identifier of the codec/Info: Advanced Video Coding

    Bit rate mode: Variable

    Bitrate: 8 614 Kbps

    Frame rate mode: Constant

    Frame rate: 25.000 fps

    Standard: PAL

    Color space: YUV

    The chroma subsampling: 4:2:0

    Color depth: 8 bit

    Scan type: Progressive

  • Photoshop cannot load the 3D LUT files maximum quality.

Hey all, revently I have experimented with the export of "looks" as 3D lookup tables, however, were broadcast in an error where photoshop is unable to open 3D LUTs exported at maximum quality (256 grid points). When I export to 128, it works very well but as I close this maximum quality (which I would ideally use) I get the following error when you try to load the LUT in photoshop after exporting:

    Screen Shot 2015-04-24 at 11.02.58 AM.png

I tried both exporters and importers with several different computers to confirm that it was not something local to a machine. All the machines were Mac running the latest version of Mac OS x and the latest version of Photoshop CC 2014.

What's a case where Photoshop cannot load complex LUT files? Or is there something wrong with how I export my LUTs? Here is a screenshot of my export settings:
    Screen Shot 2015-04-24 at 11.05.05 AM.png

Any help would be great and I would better understand what is happening, thank you!

This is a known problem, but not a high priority for the ACE team.

Workflow more real world uses LUTs around 32 to 64 samples on one side, not 256.

  • Make a maximum quality is more appropriate...

    I use CS4.

I had a lot of success with the suggested settings of Steve Bellune to export media and encoding of projects HDV 1080 60i for burning DVDs.

Now, all of a sudden, for some reason any crazy everything I have on the small drop down menu are the following:

    Use preview files

    Include Source XMP metadata

    Information file on...

There is a maximum quality choices WITHOUT making as I've had in the past.

Maybe my imagination, but I seem to see more many, many effects of staircase on the DVD...

As far as I know, nothing has changed.

    Suggestions?  TKS, Tom B.

If you start the lack of things like the MRQ in the menu export settings, it's time for a reinstallation.

  • Problems with the PDF any bit depth

    4bitrgb.PNG

The left image is a view in Acrobat Pro to an original file. It also appears correctly in the Indesign document in preview high resolution. The right shows the result after an export to PDF of this document of identity.

The background color of the original image is a 4-bit RGB bitmap image; on the right, Acrobat Pro claims that it is now "24-bit". The original image can be changed by editing with Photoshop (he claims that it is an "unsupported color space"); refrying the original by printing a second time for PDF does not work, because the image remains unchanged. Change the color on the inside space the original PDF leads to the same result (changes the color space, but the bit depth remains the same). Open the entire PDF file in Photoshop gives the same result, as shown on the right (because apparently the PS can not handle this 4 - bit color space).

The only way of setting the color space that has worked so far is to open all PDF in Illustrator and re-save AS. However, Illustrator converts * some * vectorised text (without specifying why, because it is all Arial).

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem while maintaining the original vector data?

    ****

(OT, but worth noting anyway: I had to connect (waiting), go to the forum ID (wait once again), find a ' Post' button which worked (new waiting) and try to write this mail in 3 different browsers.) IE does not work - you cannot insert an image and expect to be able to type text. Firefox took so long to load even the text editor that I dropped. Chrome works - slowly. Certainly room for improvement here.)

    edited by retouching with Photoshop (he claims it is an "unsupported color space");

It is true that Photoshop is the Mode of Bitmap 1 bit and modes of 8-bit in levels of grayscale, Duotone and color Index with nothing in between.

I guess you tried to export with compression and a sampling turned off?

  • Can I put an Equim A110-233 with a 64-bit processor and if so which?

    Hello

can I put an equim a110-233 with a 64-bit processor, and if so which are compatible.

    Thank you
    Darrell

    Hello

Update CPU is always a difficult history.
I think you have a good chance to upgrade the processor as long as you use the CPU of the same CPU family.

You could check what processors have been used in other portable Satellite Equium A110 and then you could choose the most powerful CPU used in this series.

In addition, you should check your chipset type. On page Intel you can find details and which processors are supported by this chipset.

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed and would like to change to Windows 7 32 bit.  How can I do this?

    Original title: Harold

Usually this is impossible on computers with Windows 7.  In almost all cases, you need to go to the store, buy Windows 7 32-bit and use the CD to install it on your computer.  This also requires the deletion of your system, you will need to reinstall all your programs and settings.

    Hi iolnation,

No, Bridge does not show the depth of bits for PNG files. You may apply for a feature on the link below, telling them why it is important for you to see the depth of bit for PNG in Bridge. I'm all for anything that will affect better PNG.

I can always download Adobe 9 Pro Extended and it'll work with 64-bit Windows 8?

We don't know what application you mean when you say Adobe 9 Pro Extended, so he ois not sure if it is available for you to download.  If you diownload, it will be valid for a 30 day trial except if you already own it and have a serial number to activate the trial with.

You can search the following site and see if you can find the trial version to download... this site is likely place only you might find the software available for download.

If there is, don't forget to follow the steps described in the Note: very important article Instructions on the pages to download to this site or the download may not work properly.
