MAXIMUM for the BLOB or CLOB space allocation

Hello

I want to check, the MAXIMUM amount of space is assigned to the type = * BLOB () * column = * PERAPNDX_FILEOBJ * table = * pat_perapndx *.

Is it possible to check?

I tried using this SQL
«Select * from user_objects where object_type like «% LOB %»»

but it contains oracle object_name generated, I wasn't able to find the object_name regarding my column so that I can put it in the fields
"Select round (sum (bytes) / 1024/1024) Mb from WHERE user_segments where nom_segment =?"

ATLAST I have to check the MAXIMUM amount of space is allocated?

Thanks in advance

  • The system restore disk space allocation

    Separated from this thread.

    I have a 1 TB hard drive and the folder of the system volume contains 291 G I know you said it should not be recommended, but I really need the space on my pc anyway around it?

    Select Start, Control Panel, system, System Protection, place the cursor on your C partition (under Protection settings - disks available), click on the Configure button. Move the slider under disk space to the left so that the percentage is 2%. Click apply and then click OK and restart your computer.

  • Alert for the ability of logical space available for guests.

    Hello

    I request assistance here. I activated a control host for LogicalDisk available capacity rule. The rule is the calculation of space based on the percent of available capacity. I want to put at the level of the GB instead of %.  As a result, if there is the 10 GB available on drive C alert must trigger.  Rule condition is as below. I just tried to multiply Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.fatal by 1024. But it did not work. I think it won't work because I guessed.

    #capacityAvailable #.<>

    any idea on defined this to draw attention to the No. of GB free space available would be geat.

    Thanks in advance.

    OK, it's a good thing to do, since % is not always the most important to watch.  for example, you must always 50 GB of free disk space on a data store, regardless of % in use.

    ALWAYS COPY A RULE, AND THEN CHANGE IT *.

    First, you must determine what you want to compare, and what threshold you want to compare to.  Unfortunately, this particular rule is not written very clearly as an example.

    The current rule uses a scope of VMWVirtualMachineLogicalDisk:

    The fatal rule condition is currently:

    try {}

    vmStateObjs = #vmState a $scope.virtualMachine #;

    tmpList0 = vmStateObjs?. values(vmStateObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList0 == null | tmpList0.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    vmState = tmpList0.get (0)?. GetValue;

    qObjs = #capacityAvailable a $scope.hostLogicalDisk #;

    tmpList = qObjs?. values(qObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList == null | tmpList.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    availbility = tmpList.get (0)?. GetValue?. getAvg();

    If ((vmState==null) |) (availbility == null) | ((! vmState?. equalsIgnoreCase ("poweredOn")))

    Returns false;

    @rulette_data ["VmState"] = vmState;

    @rulette_data ['Availbility'] = availbility;

    If (availbility<=registry("VMW:vmLogicalDrive.fatal")) return="">

    otherwise return false;

    } catch (System.Exception e) {return false ;}

    availbility is stored as 0-100 (%) of the total space on the logical drive.

    To create a rule that compares to the truly free disc, we need a different query

    to retrieve the "spaceAvailable", which is stored in megabytes.

    So, for our new rule, we will need:

    qObjs = #spaceAvailable a $scope.hostLogicalDisk #;

    tmpList = qObjs?. values(qObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList == null | tmpList.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    spaceAvailable = tmpList.get (0)?. GetValue?. getAvg();

    SpaceAvailable return;

    Now, we can change the comparisons in the criticism and Fatal to alert

    on the comparison of spaceAvailable to a new registry variable called

    Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.fatal which is set to a value of 10240,,

    et Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.critical which can be set to something like 20480.

    Both are in megabytes to match the scale of spaceAvailable.

    The new fatal rule would then be something like:

    try {}

    vmStateObjs = #vmState a $scope.virtualMachine #;

    tmpList0 = vmStateObjs?. values(vmStateObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList0 == null | tmpList0.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    vmState = tmpList0.get (0)?. GetValue;

    qObjs = #spaceAvailable a $scope.hostLogicalDisk #;

    tmpList = qObjs?. values(qObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList == null | tmpList.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    spaceAvailable = tmpList.get (0)?. GetValue?. getAvg();

    If ((vmState==null) |) (spaceAvailable == null) | ((! vmState?. equalsIgnoreCase ("poweredOn")))

    Returns false;

    @rulette_data ["VmState"] = vmState;

    @rulette_data ["spaceAvailable'] = spaceAvailable;

    If (spaceAvailable<=registry("Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.fatal")) return="">

    otherwise return false;

    } catch (System.Exception e) {return false ;}

    Notice that @rulette_data values defined in the Fatal plan.

    and then can be used in the critical level without recalculation them.

    The critical condition would then be:

    try {}

    vmState = @rulette_data ["VmState"];

    spaceAvailable = @rulette_data ["spaceAvailable"];

    If ((vmState==null) |) (spaceAvailable == null) | ((! vmState?. equalsIgnoreCase ("poweredOn"))) return false;

    If (spaceAvailable<=registry("Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.critical")) return="" true;="" return="">

    otherwise return false;

    } catch (System.Exception e) {return false ;}

    You can watch the behavior tab, you want to prevent "fly."

    If the available space goes above and below a threshold on a regular basis.

    You can to your rule set to something like a fire after 2 consecutive failures, wait for 30 min between.

  • Y at - it "Documented" maximum for the data by vCenter store

    Hi all

    I know that there is no maximum documented to number of data store by vCenter (5.0), but I would like to know if there is a desirable number? The reason behind this question is to exclude some question of infrastructure at our end.

    Also note that we do not store data in Clusters.

    Thank you

    Karthik Varadaraja

    The maximum number of warehouses of data (volumes) for each host is 256. That was said, I got 1000 hosts (the maximum number of hosts of ESXi by vCenter) which would be a large number of volumes to manage. It is more likely that you will hit other maximum rates (network, storage device, that the vCenter is set up to handle) until you hit that one. Keep in mind that the more objects, you have in vCenter, the more process and the greatest impact on performance.

    I think a better question is how many shared across how many and how clusters volumes of ESXi hosts per cluster you have? Related to this would be mixture of CPU/memory and find out if the vCenter is virtual on a system already mired or it is a standalone system? Finally, what exactly is the question that you challenge?

  • I started the download of el capitan and did not have enough space for the upgrade - I released space, but now the upgrade is blocked for download

    I'm on 10.10.5 and try to upgrade to el capitan via the App Store.  I don't have enough space at the beginning and upgrade wouldn't start - I got error message says not enough disk space.  Once I released space, download hangs and will not end.  I have restarted the download several times and have rebooted as well.

    Hello

    Take a look in your Applications folder to install Mac OS X El Capitan.app. If you find move him to the trash, then empty/remove it. Another thing you could try is to go to Launchpad and look an article with the 'X' Mac OS X logo on it,

    Click and hold on it until it wiggles, and then click the little 'x' and then delete.

    Restart the Mac, relaunch the App Store and see if you can download now El Capitan.

    Another thing you can do, when the download is complete and what is important before you begin the installation process, do a copy to install Mac OS X El Capitan.app and keep them safe, to an external drive or USB key, the original in the Application folder item is deleted once the installation is complete. It is snack and practice have this spare copy so that you can install on other Macs if you want you will need to re - install the system should anything go wrong in the future.

    And always, always make a backup before making major changes to your system.

    On the other hand, the iMac 5K has 5120 x 2880 the same 2000 pixel image would take less than half of the screen.

    The 'thumb' of 72 240 or 300 resolution concerns only thumbs on a sheet of paper, not a screen.
