  • wczdlg.dll and netshell.dll missing and cannot start my Windows Firewall

    Hi all
I hope that someone will be so good to help my with this situation I tried (and failed) solve this past week or so.

I lost my firewall, l, and network connections.  As advised I checked the status of the automatic Wireless Configuration.  The State was "arrested" and was not a solution for this.  I continue typing applications for a solution ot wczdlg.dll and netshell.dll missing.   Now I can sign BT.openzone - it's the only way I can use the web.

Also I can't start my Windows Firewall.  I have no idea why my system is so badly damaged - the only situation I had was that my charger no longer works and my laptop crashed.  I also brought my laptop (HP compaq nc4200-Xp) to my daughter.
I don't have a recovery disc and the disc I have with drivers does not download.  I would be grateful for any resolution of this problem.    I'm only a moderate ad user have no knowledge regarding the actual system so need advice step by step.
    Thank you very much

  • Windwos Explorer stopped working: CLMedia.dll

Original title: _ _ problem event name: _APPCRAS__

    Explorer Windows stopped working

CLMedia.dll is a Cyberlink dll or Trojan horse according to the place where it
Location - it is not a Windows file. This isn't a problem with Windows Media
    Center, however.

Suggest that contact Cyberlink support to determine if you have the right
version of their dll installed in the correct location.

I installed my copy of PS CS on my new desktop running Windows 7. It was working fine, then yesterday, McAfee began stopping evertime I tried to open it citing the buffer overflow. Already tried a reinstall, but it did not help. Any ideas?... and a newer version of the PS is not financially feasible right now

Thank you. Finally, I discovered it seemed to be caused by a plug-in. uninstalled the plugin and life returned to normal.

  • Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 has stopped working - Wacom_Tablet.dll

On Windows 7 SP1 with PS CC2015.1 during recovery from sleep mode, I get the message of accident below. Yesterday I installed the latest 2015.1.1update CC, but the problem persists. The last Wacom driver is installed (6.3.15.1) for my Intuos 4 tablet. The only other issue I am experiencing, is that I sometimes lose pressure sensitivity of pen, that requires a restart of the PS to restore.

I finally found the cause of the crash of Wacom_Tablet.DLL PS and other behaviors special Tablet (loss of pressure sensitivity). Apparently, the Wacom driver does not run an analysis to identify the model of connected Tablet and display an Error Message if it detects that the bad model driver is being installed. Also the model of tablet or series name is not included as part of the pilot of the file name, so there is no way to identify a bad driver download.

As sarsaxen suggested, I went for the Wacom driver download site to find a driver older. As I scroll through the multitude of different model drivers, I discovered a list model that looked different from the one used for my last update of the driver. I have an Intuos 4 and the latest downloaded driver was this topic:

    Latest drivers for current Intuos

Scroll down much further I found the model driver following registration, which is the suitable driver:

Drivers for Intuos3 (PTZ), Intuos4 (PTK), Intous5 (PTH)

The model number (or name?) is at the back of the Tablet and my Intuos 4 has the model number PTK-640. I removed all the preferences using the Wacom tablet preference file utility, uninstalled the current driver and installed the correct driver PTK for my Intuos 4. I just finished five working sessions with a standby and resume between each with No crash of PS or any other question.

sarsaxen you can notify others at Adobe about this problem because there seems to be a number of users with similar issues of Tablet Wacom. I am a 45 years, the information technology industry veteran and a long-time user of PS. If I can do this (i.e. bad driver installed) rest assured mistaken there are others with the same question. It is also important to follow the procedure:

1 delete all the files preferences using the Wacom tablet preference file utility > click Remove under all the preferences of the user.

2 uninstall the driver for the Wacom tablet.

    3 cut the tablet.

4 reboot and connect the tablet.

    5. download and install the driver appropriate for your Tablet model.

    Hello David,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft Forum.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

    1. You did it all changes (hardware or software) on your computer before the show?
    2. When you get this error message?

This problem may be due to one of the following problems:

    • You are using an outdated or corrupted video driver
    • System files on your PC can be damaged or do not correspond with other files
    • You may have an infection of viruses or malware on your PC
    • Some applications or services that are running on your computer may be responsible for Windows Explorer to stop working

I suggest to try the steps in the following Microsoft article and you want to avoid the steps that you have already tried and check if it helps.

Error: Windows Explorer has stopped working

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2694911/en-us

    Note

The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Important:

When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    ATTENTION:

For now, skip the step of upgrade in Place.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Do you use mods for this game?

There seems to be a DLL which is used only for debugging, and it should have been removed before the RTM version deployed, but it wasn't and it poses problems for some people. Quite why this causes problems for some people and not others is unknown.

I would recommned you uniinstall and re - install the game.

Here is the link to the EA forums. You can also ask your question on their forums and check.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

  • mfc45.dll in C++ Redistributable package

Re: XP SP3 and Vista SP2 and the file mfc45.dll Machines

Recently, Hitman Pro 3.5.8 121 Bld stopped download mfc45.dll to the cloud for inspection, as it did for a year under XP SP3.

My inspection of the property sheet for the file not revealed any info about it, except that it is 74 703 bytes and created on 09/21/2009.

Lowered numbered MFCxx.dll files show the detailed MS waited, including version info.

The mfc45.dll file is displayed, as I expect malware to appear.

However, he spent a lot of screens AV, including Viruscan.Jotti.org & VirusTotal, including the free avast, uptodate.

That an antivirus scanner indicates that it is a 'broken W32 file.

My Vista 32 bit SP2 machine has what seems to be the same file with 74 703 bytes, created 11/21/2010, a few months after, after that I started the machine.

A lot of Internet searches gave little info useful re: mfc45.dll, just many links to sites wishing to DL a scanner ActiveX to "clean the registry.

Seems to be 'drive-by' vectors infectious for me!

Why isn't easy to check a file Microsoft allegedly from a C++ package?

Why is there a list of the files that are included as well as their versions for each package for comparison?

Why are there not a simple tool to analyze and identify what C++ Redistributable packages are installed and their version numbers?

Why are they not C++ files in a separate folder under System32 for easy review?

    What is a security requirement?

More importantly, how positively verify that my mfc45.dll, on each machine, is not malware?

Jack E Martinelli former MS MVP 2001-06 END

... Hitman has been download mfc45.dll to its cloud at least a year until a few weeks ago. Now, the download attempt fails.

I scanned the machine and the file mfc45.dll specifically with VirusTotal and Viruscan.Jotti.org and lots of other tools, including msert.exe, the Scanner of Ms. Nothing has ever reported a malicious software.

Then, I don't worry on that point, Jack (links in reference [1] in my previous answer notwithstanding).

As would be the case, there was a recent discussion on Hitman in a MVP Security mailing list. The general opinion was that he had done his time. And I think that someone said he had not been updated or supported for some time. YMMV.

    Moving...

Yes, in response to your message in a previous discussion (which does NOT appear in your profile for a reason sheet any unfathomable) I said it would be OK to hide KB2416447 (MS10-070 for .NET 1.1 SP1) or KB2416472 (MS10-070 for .NET 4.0) under very certain & specificities.

I also said that I would usually NEVER give out that they do not need to install a critical security update.

Chances are you don't need .NET Framework 4.0 and it is installed only because you have installed an optional, a security update no end of June 2010 (probably KB982670).

Because the computer has been updated to Security KB2446708, .NET 4.0 must always be installed just so uninstall it and "stop the madness" (i.e., available UPDATES for .NET 4.0).

PS: Yes, attempt to analyze the update of the list in Add/Remove programs can be time consuming. At least, they are listed in descending (date) (as is the history of update Vista & Win7, but at least it is available).

  • need names of .dll files that contain icons

I have win7 Home premium. I'm looking to change an icon for one of my pieces of freeware. Philippe, when I go through the process of 'change icon' I get only one choice, which is the icon even in use. I used to have a couple of files .dll residues many icons, but I lost them. "I used GOOGLE to find something on the files .dll holding icons and encuntered a suggestion that many files in C:\WINDOWS\System32 .dll ' are containers for icons. This turns out be a useless response. When I navigate to a .dll file (there are many of them) with the "change icon" shows, I get a msg of error indicating that the file in question contains no icons. Can someone provide a list of the .dll files that contain icons actually?

    The only other would Netshell.dll

Not sure if that's what you're looking for.
