MDS Simulator not launch

Hello

I have a problem with the simulator of MDS - CS coming with the installation of Blackberry JDE 4.5.0. I have to establish connectivity network & t orun MDS for this need.

Whenever I run the MDS Simulator application, a window appears and immediately leaves.

How to solve this problem?

I searched the Internet for thisissue & answers have been most associated with the PATH environment variable. I checked for the correct path variable but its still does not. I reinstalled JDE but still no solution.

My way home of Java is,

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_13

-What is important if I don't add the JAVA_HOME environment variable? as I read that Java_HOME is not required for Blackberry JDE.

All the solutions for this problem?

Thanks in advance

  • 8320 running Simulator 4.2.2.161 will not connect to the 4.1.4 MDS Simulator

    HI -.

I just installed the 4.2.2.161 Simulator device 8320 and can't seem to connect to the network via the browser.  I run the 4.1.4 MDS Simulator.  I have several other simulators installed, and they can all connect fine when I run it.  When I'm trying to here, it is there for awhil, and then it times out with the message "unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service. Please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your administrator. »

I noticed a strange thing is that I do not see the "arrows" flashing at the top right of the screen of the simulated device, and I see no record appears in the MDS Simulator window.

    Please notify.

    Thank you

    Mike

Managed to get the 4.2.2.161 Simulator (8320) working on the PC with MDS 4.1.4.  The only thing I did was shut down, install the 4.2.2.163 Simulator (8310), try it (it worked), and then re-run the 4.2.2.161 Simulator (8320).  It just started working.  (If all goes well, it blocks everything works again.)

It does not always work on another PC with MDS 4.1.0 but I guess it's just a matter of MDS version.

  • Email and Services of MDS Simulator does not not on Windows 7

Email and Services of MDS Simulator does not not on Windows 7

Finally, resolved. There is no need to edit the file of commands or anything else. Everything you need to install Email and MDS Services Simulator and simulator of Smartphone in C:\Research In Motion instead of C:\Program Research In Motion.

  • MDS Simulator "do not have access to.

I am trying to build a simple Midlet based soap client. I'm using kSOAP2

    I use:

    Blackberry Simulator 9000 - 4.6.0.150

    JDE 4.7.0.41

    4.1.2 MDS Simulator

Web service based on kSOAP2 (best docs and depolyment simpler)

I am able to browse the web inside the Simulator, but when I try to connect to my web service deployed locally (http://127.0.0.1: 8061/MobileSOAP/service), I can't seem to connect. The MDS Simulator complains:

    <2009-09-21 10:38:48.526 EDT>:[264]:::

I'm guessing this has something to do with the site, signatures and other things security, as

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=BlackBerryEnterpriseSolution&message...

but this link guess I have a BlackBerry Enterprise serve, and I hope that I don't have to deploy just to get a soap client working.

How can I get the MDS Simulator to allow localhost requests?

I'll have more problems when I deploy to interact with our web production servers?

    Thank you

    PS

In case you think that my service is down, I have an Oracle installation on my machine that has its own web service (http://127.0.0.1: 8080/apex /), and I use firefox to load the page and perform administrative tasks. But I can't use the BB Simulator even browser load the page. Yet once again, the MDS complains:

    <2009-09-21 11:13:30.510 EDT>:[371]:::

In case you worry, my demand was showing

    org.kxml.io.ParseException: unexpected: ParseEvent type=128 text="Not authorized to access 127.0.0.1:8061' @-1:-1

I spent an hour in the examination of the documents and forming my question only to find out the address IP is false, ONCE I confirmed the issue!

I could have used my public IP not localhost or 127.0.0.1

  • 9630 Simulator NOT work with MDS Simulator!

    Hi all

I use the Tower Simulator (BlackBerry_Simulators_4.7.1.40_9630_Verizon) with the MDS Simulator (BlackBerry_Email_MDS_4.1.4) but I can't connect my browser to the internet at all.

    What can be the problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Edit: Follow-up "understandable" simon's note.

There is a workaround to use a newer version than the official facilities files: use the Simulator MDS of the JDE or Eclipse installation and copy them to any machine he needs.

The final answer seems to be not related to the MDS version. In the BB Simulator, please make sure that the network is the "1xev".

    Then it works fine.

  • Not (rightly?) MDS Simulator using rimpublic.property

I'm testing an application that manages cookies on its own, so I tried to change the rimpublic.property parameter:

    application.handler.http.CookieSupport = false

but the MDS Simulator still manages cookies.  I then changed the value of WebServer.listen.port to 8010 and the MDS Simulator still load the web server on the default port 8080. This suggests that the MDS Simulator is not correctly read the file rimpublic.property. Initially, I had problems of file with Vista so I changed the permissions on everything under the directory "C:\Program research in Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\MDS" so that all users have all permissions. That always has not contributed to the problem though. Anyone has ideas or information, why this is happening?

I'm v4.7.0 JDE running and modifying this file specifically:

    C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\MDS\config\rimpublic.property

    Thank you

    Joe

Well well if someone has the same problem, I managed to get this to work finally.

I reinstalled everything - the JDE, all my simulators and the JDE component Package (this can be unnecessary, given that I didn't tried the next step until after I did - twice). Then in the JDE, I put the directory of MDS Simulator - CS to use the version installed by the Installer component package to 'C:\Program research in Motion\BlackBerry JDE component package 4.7.0\MDS' (Edit-> preferences, tab Simulator MDS - CS). I also had to change the properties of that directory and give total control of the users group. And of course the rimpublic.properties file is now in the directory "C:\Program search component Package Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\MDS\config".

It works, but one of the problems is that the instance of MDS - CS turns off automatically when I close the Simulator. But I can live with that.

  • Not opening not MDS Simulator

    Hai all,

I have downloaded JDE. I found the MDS with it, but when I click on the mds Simulator, a window opens and fainted .i can't find it running. I even tried with the mds & bes downloaded separately,

WHT is the problem, help me out.this there that I need my database connection.

    Kamala

I had this problem sometimes when I installed a new Version of Java. Lets assume we are using JDE 4.3.0:

    • Check that the - windows environment variable "JAVA_HOME" points to the right place, you can set it in system-sign in-> system. In my environment, it points to "C:\Programme\Java\jdk1.6.0_13\jre".
    • Go to C:\Programme\Research in Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.3.0\MDS
    • Click on run.bat
  • Push by MDS Simulator and Win7

    Hi all

I have a new computer with Win7 Professional installed and I had trouble getting the BlackBerry Simulator to recognize the push in my application.  I also have my old WinXP computer that gets the push with my BlackBerry application "under development".  That is, it works on Windows XP but not on Win7.

I use Eclipse Galileo with the BlackBerry plug-in.  Develop with BlackBerry JRE v4.6.0.23 on BlackBerry 9000 Simulator.  The MDS Simulator is installed in C:\BlackBerry Email and simulators of Services SDM 4.1.4 avoid C:\Program Files security restrictions.

Configuration of the Simulator in the 'rimpublic.property' file is to remove the # from the line 'push.application.reliable.ports = 100' at the bottom of the file.  No other changes are made.  The MDS web server started on port 8080 (default).

On the Windows XP computer, I start the MDS Simulator, then I start my Eclipse application and the BlackBerry Simulator starts.  I'll leave my app and open the web browser and launch a Web site (any) and I'll see the work of MDS Simulator.  That is it will be showing the entries in the window back of MDS.  It's what I expect. Then I run my application and send the thrust and everything works fine.

On the Win7 computer, I use the same version of BlackBerry Simulator 4.1.4 the same version of Eclipse and the same version of the BlackBerry Simulator.  When I access a Web site on the BlackBerry, nothing happens in the MDS Simulator Dos window.  I get a web page, but I think something is happening in the MDS Simulator Dos window.

That's where the problem lies, in my opinion, but I'm not sure.  Push sample instructions say to launch Web site on the BlackBerry browser to get the push to work properly.  Is this true or am I wrong interpret this?

Also on the Win7 machine, even if the BlackBerry browser does not have it that I'm waiting on the MDS Simulator, if I push my data in any case, I see the MDS recognizing thrust.

Long story short, my BlackBerry application will not recognize the thrust of my request to push .net on Win7, but works fine on Windows XP.

I've been watching for the last 2 days and have largely done a search, but there is not much info on this type of problem.

Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated?

Here is some information displayed in the window back Simulator MDS after I send my push.

  • Cannot run the MDS Simulator

I'm testing the demo of HTTP... everything is workin fine but it return an error after tried to connect for awhile (workin...) "java.io.InterruptedIOException: connection Local expired after 120000.

The problem seems to be that the Services of MDS Simulator is not launched... but when I try to run it manually, the window opens and close immediately after. I've tried many 'solutions' on this forum, but nothing seems to work.

    Thank you!

    I have it!

Necessary to reinstall the plugin eclipse even though I use JDE... then restarted, adjust the path environment variable, started again and needed to start the mds alone before opening the JDE.

    Now, it works fine.

    Thank you!

  • MDS Simulator starts and then closes

I have installed Java, MDS Simulator and the BBY Simulator on a laptop. Installs it all ran without any errors. I did this for 5 or 6 other people and that you have no problems. On this machine when I go to launch the Simulator MDS the DOS window opens and closes a few seconds, I can't see the messages of. Then when I run the Simulator BBY it opens but when I try to run our application I get a communication error. On other machines the BACK area stays open and the Simulator works very well. I found an article about this type of problem and not the recommended patches and the MDS Simulator still does not work. I checked the logs on this machine and there is NO errors. I uninstalled everything and started around and it still does not work. Has anyone seen this kind of problem before?

    Thank you

    Bill

Version 4.1.2 MDS - CS Simulator requires JDK version 1.5.  It does not work with version 1.6.

  • BBM MDS Simulator problem

I'm developing an application that needs to send something via BBM surveys, so I wanted to try it. The problem is that I can't get the BBM Simulator to run. I followed the instructions found on the Blackberry Messenger page, but when I run run.bat it says the following:

    Error image

(why can I post the image directly?)

-Java SE Development Kit 7 installed: C:\jdk1.7.0\

    -Java JRE installed: C:\jdk1.7.0\jre7\

(Note that there is another folder of jre: C:\jdk1.7.0\jre\) Variable JAVA_HOME points to: C:\jdk1.7.0\

Added "C:\jdk1.7.0\bin\;" to the front of the path variable.
Copied files local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar both

    • (1) C:\jdk1.7.0\jre\lib\security; and
    • (2) C:\jdk1.7.0\jre7\lib\security

(I first copied them only in the C:\jdk1.7.0\jre7\lib\security, but it says "have you installed unlimited strength jurisdiction policy files?")

I have downloaded the SDK, extract the contents of "C:\BBM\", mounted in the MDS Simulator and extract the content as well.

    Running Windows 7 64 bit.

    What I'm missing here?

Is the JDK 1.7 32-bit?  I have not tried with 1.7, only 1.6.

  • Problem of MDS Simulator (expired)

I'm working on a project and test on the MDS Simulator, and everything worked well.

I tried to debug my application and to my surprise, I got the message: java.io.InterruptedIOException of following error: Local connection has expired after ~ 120000

  • Limitations of MDS Simulator

    I'll answer myself. :-)

I was not able to determine if there was a setting for the maximum Simulator MDS to increase the number of bytes per connection.  However, a satisfactory solution was to bypass the MDS Simulator and use direct TCP:

            if ( DeviceInfo.isSimulator() )            // add this to your connection ";deviceside=true;ConnectionTimeout=15000"

    See you soon.

  • How to tell if MDS Simulator is running?

I want to use the 9500 Simulator to test a Web site, but I can't connect to the web.  I turn the MDS Simulator before you start the trainer 9500, but it merely a display of messages and then close the window, so I don't have an idea he ran ok or had problems.  Because I can not connect to the web, I imagine that SDM is not running, but don't know how to debug this.  Is there a service that I can look for to tell if SDM is running?  The MDS Simulator creates a journal somewhere?

I am running WIndows 7 - could - he is having problems with the simulators running on this subject?

Finally, since I'm new to this, is there a FAQ somewhere of the current coding problems that cause problems for BlackBerry?  The problem that my users will see is that they can get to my research page, but nothing happens when they try to make a search.  It works on other phones.  If I could find a list of the things to look for, it would be extremely useful.

    Thank you!

For ASP.NET, it can be useful:
