Media Center closes the program unable to resolve internet tv, etc.

I tried so many different attempts to get a FIX please help

Have what methods you tried?

Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > installation Windows Media Center > rerun the installation

Does that help?

If the above does not help then try to reset WMC: -.

Open Control Panel > uninstall a program > turn Windows features on or off > scroll multimedia features > uncheck the box against Windows Media Center > follow the instructions on the screen > Reboot > open again to turn Windows features on or off in the control panel > scroll multimedia features > check the box against Windows Media Center.

Now reconfigure WMC again.

  • My Windows Media Center Download the latest TV programming guide

With the help of Win 7 Home Prem SP1 64-bit.

Suddenly, Windows Media Center Download the latest TV programming guide.  It worked fine, then all of a sudden it stopped.  WMC wonder if I want to download the latest Guide Listing.  I click on the download option, then he said: 'Guide lists have been downloaded successfully. Yet, when I go into my program Guide for all the different TV channels (everywhere in the air, no cable or satellite) it says "No data available" in other words not it offers for download, guide, said that he never actually makes the fact.

I don't know how or why this happened. I tried to download the application manually Guide by going to tasks-> settings-> TV etc and it does the same thing. It says "Guide Listings were downloaded successfully" but nothing.

    How to fix?

PS my TV tuner and everything works fine. My internet connection is perfect. Am really confused.

Re-run the installation of the TV, try a different zip code and then switch back to your own if this does not work

  • Media Center of the video window - serious on dvd has audio/video desynchronization

Whenever I try to burn recorded videos on a dvd using Windows Media Center, the video and audio are always synchronized when DVDs are read. I tried several times and still the same problem experiece. I have no problem with any aspect of the Media Center and all other DVDs play fine on my PC, so I guess that something goes wrong during the burn process.

Any ideas what can cause this problem and how to fix it?

    Hello

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

Could you please let us know how you try to burn to dvd?
You use any 3rd party dvd burning software?

There is possibility that this problem can be caused because of the drivers.
I suggest you to update the drivers for the video, sound and TV tuners adapters and verify.
Steps to uninstall the sound, Tuner and video drivers.
NOTE: You will need to do one thing at a time.
Uninstall and reinstall the drivers on the computer.
    1. open the programs and features.
    2. check if the device driver is listed.
If this is the case, then right click on the device that is listed and click on uninstall, then Yes to confirm.
NOTE: Sometimes you will get a notice to restart the computer to finish uninstalling the driver. If you do, then click Yes to restart the computer when you are prompted.
    3. close the programs and features.

    Uninstall using Device Manager
    1. open the control panel (Classic view).
    2. click on the Device Manager icon.
    3. click on continue for UAC prompt.
    4. click on the + sign next to the device you want to uninstall to develop.
    5. right click on the listed device, and then click Properties.
NOTE: You can also click on uninstall
    6. If you want to uninstall the device-
NOTE: This doesn't uninstall the device and let the device driver installed for the device.
    (A) uncheck the button remove the software driver of this box of the device.
NOTE: If you do not have this option, then only the device is uninstalled.
    (B) click OK.
NOTE: Sometimes, you may be asked to restart the computer to finish uninstalling the driver. If you do, then click Yes to restart the computer.
    7. close Device Manager, and then restart the computer. Uninstall and reinstall the back of the computer.

Alternatively, you can try to perform the scan of the file system [SFC] checker on the computer.
    1. click on the Start button
    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories
    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option
    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option
5 If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked to consent to the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.
    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter
    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.
    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time
    9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue
    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.
11 after the scan finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.

If you have installed any 3rd codec part on the computer, try to uninstall and reinstall and check.

    It will be useful.

  • Windows 7 Media Center blocks all programs start - HELP - green buttons everywhere

    Hello

I have a laptop Acer Windows 7 (new) / and Office XP - Office 7 free trial ran out. Anyway, I can't open any programs on my computer since the implementation of Media Center.

Last night, I downloaded from CNET programs, including the FreeZonlineTV and a few others. I remember during Setup, Media Center was downloading something that took a long time - I thought that it was creating a library or something - it was late - sorry. In any case, this morning the download is complete, I have a bunch of little green buttons on all my programs on the desktop (shortcuts). I also have this same green button on everything in my Start menu, (i.e., Skype, ITunes, MRI, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) When I click on any of them, the media goes full screen. It does not actually close. It is now in my taskbar - I can't minimize it - it appears full screen again when I try. I decreased the size of the window now, and there's just on the side of my desk.

I tried Ctrl/Alt/Del and ending the Media Center, but it just POPs right up again. I tried to delete or disable Media Center, but when I'm in the section of the control panel I need to disable to turn it off, media center pop up and don't let not even get me in the section where I can check or uncheck something.

I can not restore - media center stop the it. I. Please help - I can't even open word documents - this is urgent. Oh, it also disabled by AVG and other antivirus programs so I can't even scan. I ran Advance care system and did a diagnostic scan - found defrag required - done - but, when I tried to get into other programs on Advance care system, guess what - a bunch of little green buttons on all of these programs as well.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

WMC stores the file in the Public TV folder saved on your hard drive by default, it is located at C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV.

  • Media Center of the Signal course to record live tv & regular VISTA

RE: Windows Media Center signal loss

I started getting errors while recording in Windows Media Center, the program hangs and fails to save and I get the error message of signal loss.

I checked my connections USB, card TV tuner, cable connection, and they are very good.  I use Wintv 7 now and record very well. I searched various sites of Mircrosoft support and not been able to find a solution or explanation satisfatory.

    Microsoft support site (I think that is the difficulty that would help me better);

    "Fixed in this update

On a computer that is running Windows 7, you use Windows Media Center with a TV tuner analog Watch analog TV live. In this case, you receive messages from overlay low intermittent flow in Windows Media Center.

Windows Media Center monitor the inflow of over-the-air television. Without this follow-up, the bit rate very low fall when the analog input of the TV is low or does not have a signal. This causes a black screen or a static screen. With this follow-up, Windows Media Center displays a message of overlay to indicate a possible problem with the inflow during the analog input of the TV is low or does not have a signal.

However, the method that is used to monitor the inflow on analog signals is too sensitive. This may cause a false alarm of a low flow.

Note Several regions have switched over to digital broadcasting. There are hardware configurations in digital programs to convert the digital signal into an analog signal. "These configurations can include set-top boxes and digital-analog-switch-boxes".

    Hello, Richard

Do you still have the same problem after performing the steps that was you on the list?

If so, you can try to run a SFC scan to make sure that the system files are intact: How to use the tool File Checker system to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or Windows 7

The only other option I can think is that the signal is in fact weak and therefore, the signal is lost.

Assuming that the signal strength is good and the System File Checker was not working, the next step that I have to recommend would be to back up your files on an external and reinstall Windows:

    Install, reinstall, or uninstall Windows
    Back up your files
