  I have a B540P idea Center AIO. Blu ray internal driver icon is missing. There is still be able to go to the drive as it lights up when you press the eject button but when I put a disk nothing happens.

  I have an Acer laptop that supports Blu Ray disc, but when I go to play with Windows Media Center there is a pop up that says that "an essential element must be updated", but whenever I click "update", it tells me that my internet connection is not working it may not update. I checked and there is nothing wrong with my internet connection and library still refuses to update. Is there a way to force it to update? Or another program that will support the Blu Ray?

  Unfortunately, as in Windows 7 there no Blu - ray for the WMC or WMP support in Windows 8 PRO either. You need a separate application for playing Blu Ray.

He plans to give me the blu ray drive and the ram so I can upgrade my laptop. I have a HP Pavilion 1035dx m6 and I was wondering if it would support blu ray and the optical drive from dv7 my friend will fit in my m6.
