My media center of Windows worked fine with Vista 64-bit. After installing windows 7, I get this massage "back with Windows Media center does not support your USA tuner", I have ATI TV2 Wonder Tv tuner.
Well, even though it is a problem of upgrade and is not a problem of update, may request assistance in the following forum:

Windows Media Center supports on my computer?
I was listening to Windows Media Player today everything by doing household chores and he kept a break. Norton, said he was using 100% of CPU. So I searched for a way to solve this problem, but could not. So I went on the Windows site and seen that there is a Media Player 12 on and maybe thought mine needed to be updated so I tried to download the program. I have no idea of what I did, but now the Media Center replaced most or all programs on my desktop computer. I closed everything and shut down my computer, but as soon as I start again, Media Center opens and "resumes". I x out of it and it opens a new window immediately. I put it at the bottom of the screen so I can see my desktop and as soon as I click on any program he refers to Media Center. The symbols have been replaced by the symbol of Media Center, including Internet Explorer, so I can't even online with my office (I write from my laptop). I have Windows 7 Home Premium on my desk and I have the free version of Norton of the century link. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Thank you for all your help with this problem. It turns out that I had a virus in my computer's registry, so it would open before even the windows open. I took it to my computer guy and he pulled.

Windows Media Center Vista don't tune in digital channels of PCI digital tuner tv.
I recently installed a new Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC? ATSC/QAM tuner in my computer. Its a dual core 2.66 mhz 4GB Ram running Windows Vista Home premium with Windows Media Center. The tuner is made to work with Windows Media Center according to its box. He also had his own software cleaner, IE. WinTV, which I also loaded. I have an antenna hanging good input on the tuner card. That same exact antenna wire hooked to a digital TV Gets the following strings... 6.1 and 6.2 - 6.3 - 8.1 - 8.2-8.3-17.1-17.2 - 17.3 - 22.1
WinTV those gets exactly the same channel list and can display them all. Windows Media Center, after the execution of the installation routine, list the same channels, but do not think that all. Problem channels are 8.2 - 8.3 - 17.1 - 17, 3. These channels show in the guide as "No Data Available" and when you select them, there is no signal detected. Yet, channel 8.1 and 17.1 gave Guide and discover very well. It is interesting when you go through special antenna Signal: settings: TV: Digital TV the 8.2 problem channels - 8.3 - 17.1 - 17, 3 list all the and are verified with check marks and show full signal strength. I spent time trying to play with the Guides Add announcement & edit channels and add missing channels. Also, I spent time with "Set Up TV signal" several times.
Any suggestions? Why is the windows media center grateful but not display secondary digital channels, still recognizing and displaying the primary digital channel very well. It can be the signal or the pilots, because MyTV of Hauppage shows them all very well.
Help?Try windows update. I use this card with media center 7 and had no problem getting all the digital channels.

The station sister 21 - 1 plays very well. He asks to "frequency" add channel, however, I can only assume that the frequency of 2 numbers is the same 21 found already. Now what? Microsoft sent to HP, which has no support for WMC questions... by their staff in India.
It's Windows 7, Windows Media Center, the TV Tuner Hauppauge USB Q 950 running.
I am in Dallas, Texas. The station reads like T2D KTXA and KTXA DT 21-1 to 21-2... which is what WMC pulls upwards with you run the installer for my zip code.
However, 21-2 is in the CBS reality, KTVT, 11.
There is some confusion in my mind, as to what the frequency should be, having once been 19 and then received 11 temporarily, etc..
I tried to get 21, 19 and 11 as the frequency, but WMC will play whatever it is facing 19 or 11 and will play again only 21-1 when I get 21 as the frequency for 21-2 (when I try to add it).
I don't know what the reason for this problem, but I know there are across the country, in other markets, with WMC did not play all of the signals that it recognizes, even when they are large network signals OTA.
I hope anyone in the DFW area, has experienced this problem and know the exact fix so I can view the CBS programming, for which I seem to have perfect signal, but can not get of WMC to play.
Thank you!
~ TexI checked with a contact at Microsoft, and they suggested to try anothertuner. (If it were me, I'd buy one from a vendor with a massive return of rockpolicy). The list of compatible tuners isI don't know if this will solve the problem, but should continue, IMO.BarbMVP - Windows/entertainment and connected homePlease mark as answer if that answers your question -

Qosmio G40 - 10F: how to set up double Tv Tuner in Windows Media Center
Hello
I recently bought a 10th G40 and I was wondering how to set up dual Tv Tuner in Windows media Center to watch and record the Tv at the same time.
I tried to download the new driver from the Toshiba download page, but it seems to make no difference that Media Center does not give me the ability to configure 2 tuners.Any help would be grateful

Hello
Found this useful Microsoft page:
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/products/windowsvista/footnotes.mspxTake a look at the chapter * M *-> on MCE
You can find this info:
+ Reading and TV recording features require a USB TV tuner or external. Supports up to two TV tuners +.So in my opinion, you cannot record TV and watch another channel at the same time using only the internal TV tuner.

Windows media center xp 2005 with digital tuner units
Windows media center xp 2005 will not see my digital tuner when I installed it. I do not have
an analog tv tuner. Is it still a bug, or is there a solution for this. Thank you
That is right. However, the United States and the Canada, MCE2k5 requires the installation an analog tuner.
There is also no support for ATSC in Canada (IIRC), and MCE2k5 does not natively support the Clear-QAM (unencrypted digital cable) tuners.Could node busy, you give some details? What country are you in, and is what tuner (s) you are trying to use?

Windows Media Center TV tuner not detected
My current operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2
(I installed SP2 from microsoft.com)
I have the Version of the Windows Media Center - Windows Vista 6.0.6002.18030 software (vistasp2_gdr.090429 - 2357). I'm trying to watch TV on my laptop. I have Windows Media Center and am confused about the version because I saw this - if the version number is 6.0.6001.18000, you are NOT running Windows Media Center TV Pack. You are running the version of Windows Media Center, which is included in Windows Vista or in Windows Vista SP1.
As you can see my version (numbers) are alittle different on the end, also the info in parentheses (vistasp2_gdr.090429 - 2357) I don't know what that means. When I tried to configure the tv signal in Windows Media Center, I was told: the TV signal cannot be configured because no tv tuner hardware was detected. So, how can I find out if there is an internal tv tuner installed and everything is not detected? My laptop is new - 3 weeks, and I think that all the drivers are current. While they inspected the help windows vista hardware compatibility list for 64-bit vista tv tuners, I was flooded for more information that I knew what to do with. I'm obviously not a computer genius and will never be. I'm open to suggestions. I just need to know what I have to do to be able to watch TV on my laptop. Any help will be appreciated! Thank you.Hello

Windows Media Center TV tuner not recognized
MEDIA CENTER TV tuner
Our computer does not recognize the TV tuner, it says that the region (Canada) is not possible, even if we were watch and record the TV for two years. We took the tour get served today and the technician could not find anything wrong, that he hung the Tower while I was in the store and everything worked very well he played TV programs that we previously recorded on the computer. On their return, I hooked the tower to have the same problem until I took the tour of duty please help with advice.
Hi Kimberly MacDonald,.
1. What is the full error message that you receive?
I suggest that you reconfigure the TV signal in the media center of Windows and check if it works.
one) to configure the tuner for use with Windows Media Center, on the Start screen, navigate to tasks.
(b) click settings, click TV, and then click Set Up TV Signal.
(c) follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

I have tried reinstalling drivers did not work, tried to remove the map and back does not workI have HP slimline is now Windows 7 and Vista. When I upgraded to Windows 7, I did not go off Homegroup. My Vixs tuner worked fine for 2 years. Recently, may 2011, I decided to start the homegroup; What a mistake!
My Media Center said that I had no TV tuner. After much research, I found this solution. In windows 7 go to "Administrative Tools" and launch 'Services '.Scroll down to "Windows Media Center Receiver Service" and under "connect as" column, make sure that setting is 'Local System' and not 'Network Service '. The "Startup Type" value in the manual. not automatic. This fixed my issue. -

This TV Tuner is compatible with Windows Media Center?
* Original title: tv tuner
My platform is Windows 7. This TV Tuner is compatible with Windows Media Center?
Individual tuner manufacturers set their requirements so it is best to look at the cards, then check that their specifications.
KWorld, Hauppauge and now all black list of compatibility with Windows 7 but you would need to check the support WMC compatibility sites because there can be a difference.
