HP Pavilion m6 Blu Ray support

Hello

My friend has an old Pavilion Dv7 2012 (I don't know the exact model) and he took part in selling the parts (he upgraded). He plans to give me the blu ray drive and the ram so I can upgrade my laptop. I have a HP Pavilion 1035dx m6 and I was wondering if it would support blu ray and the optical drive from dv7 my friend will fit in my m6.

Thanks in advance!

Here is your Service Manual:

Repair manual M6

See page 53.

Your laptop takes an optical drive to 12.7 mm and the DV7 also takes a 12.7 mm drive. You may have to swap face plates and support at the rear of the car, but it will work.

    Hello

By looking at the description for the optical drive on the tab specifications of the link you posted, it is listed as "Slim tray SuperMulti DVD Burner" which is not able to read Blu ray.

If you check this, you can visualize all the multimedia capabilities of your optical drive using the free app at the following link.

  • Best compatible blu ray burner for late 2013 iMac

Hello everyone. I'm a little shy gun that I bought a LG BE14NU40, who is correctly identified, but has a strange error after it starts to burn DVD/BD. That is why I am reaching out to the community for those of you who have a USB 3.0 external BD recorder so I can assure you that I don't burn upward more of money on something that will ultimately fail. The mistake that has this drive was widely reported a few years back with a different version, but I never could find a solution at the end which is a shame, but that's life. Just in case someone does not know position from Apple about the problem is that the drive is considered 3rd party, so there is no support, and this disc (according to LG tech support technician) is supposed to be compatible with any mac. Anyway thanks a lot for your comments.

    MelRay

What is the error you get?

Most of the readers are compatible with the Mac (except that you need a software that will burn the DVD as well as read with no blu - ray support Macs). So, what software do you use?

Also, what helps is to use available elevation slower burning you will get fewer errors burning (it might take a little longer, but it certainly beats liquidation with a coaster).

99% of laptop optical drives are interchangeable, which includes Blu - ray as well. Measure your old drive at the thickest point, if it is 12.7 mm thick, then you're good to go.

The tray is removable and it adapts to the new disk.

Do not buy a laptop Blu - ray burner, they are not that great. If you want to burn Blu - ray, get an external USB burner.

(I checked the part number too, what a rip off!)   200 and 300 dollars! )

Also, know that you will need a software to play Blu-rays and power DVD10 is free for owners of HP, but problematic, as with all Blu - ray drives on computer. Constantly, they need updates and affect many things like anti anti-virus programs, firewalls, Windows updates, conflicts with other programs, etc.

All that this can cause the drive simply stop working or cause jerky playback _ consider a stand-alone drive.

DVD10 power is in the list, if it settles, post again.

  • PowerDVD will not play Blu - ray

Dell Studio XPS 8100. Drive Blu - ray. PowerDVD came with the system.

Well, I just bought my first Blu - ray disc. And now it will not play. PowerDVD tells me to update the software. Then I do. I restart the software. PowerDVD still tells me to update the software. Then I do. I restart the software. PowerDVD still tells me to update the software. And yet again, I do.

And then PowerDVD will not even run at all. It crashes. I can't get anything.

No problem, I tell myself. I will contact all the customer support.

JAL out of luck - unless I want to pay.

Wait a minute. I paid for the software, when I bought the system. I'm waiting for the software to work.

I have updated the firmware of the player and for my graphics card. I jumped through all the hoops. And yet, PowerDVD crashes before I can do something with it.

So what am I supposed to do? Why won't work PowerDVD?

I see that this is not an unusual problem with the software. However, I still have to find a solution. Can someone help me?

The likely reason for Apple does not officially play Blu - ray support on its machines

is that there is no way for a software playback Blu - ray should be installed and "just works.

(Well, since all Macs since 2006 boot Camp support and XP/VISTA/WIN7 is not quite correct.  If you install windows, it works.)

There is also no Apple Blue ray software, but he needs an active internet connection to play the media.

A third party did a player of Blu - ray compatible Mac OS X, called Macgo.

Options for Blu - ray authoring have come from Apple in the form of compressor in Final Cut Studio and the third Roxio Toast Titanium.

Blu - ray burners that work with them include those sold by the calculation of the other world and MCETechnologies and both can replace the built-in DVD burner

  • Problems using 1080/50 p in first CS5 even video files on Blu - ray

Firstly, apologies if this has been covered, I searched various forums but not found anything about 1080/50 p.

I have a Panasonic HDC-TM700 camcorder that I had for a week or two before going on holiday weeks in Egypt, so I thought that I should save my memories in stunning 1080/50 p mode.

Back I now change my work in CS5 first, the video is very choppy (it reads OK on camera), visited a sample yet, I discovered that Blu - ray support not 1080/50 p so I tried the HDTV 1080i 25 setting, panoramic scenes on Blu - ray that results are not looking at a smooth and the video is always rather jerky.

Should I have recorded images in 1080 interlaced instead?

Anyone know if I can recover my memories?

    Hoping you can help

    Concerning

    Kevin

    Kevin,

You already tried this but, first can be smart enough to interleave your videos automatically if you drop in a timeline 1080i50. I just tried for my images and it doesn't seem to get interlaced while maintaining the correct time.

  • Not supported format - Blu - Ray will not play on HP Pavilion

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC WA794UA #ABA CNF0162R76.

Whenever I try to play a Blu - Ray disc in my Blu - Ray player, I get an "Unsupported Format" Message in HP MediaSmart DVD Player.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Hello

If you use HP MediaSmart DVD (which can be glitch) to read the Blu - ray disc, try the following.

HP now provides a version of PowerDVD 10 Cyberlinks which seems to be a better solution.  Download the installer for it on the link below and save it to your desktop.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53001-53500/sp53029.exe

When the download is complete, open windows panneau Panel configuration, open programs and features, right click the entry for HP MediaSmart DVD and select uninstall - once this process is complete, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, double-click the installer for PowerDVD 10 start the installation.  Once this done, see if your Blu - ray disc now plays OK.

    Kind regards

    (1) Blu - ray Disc ROM FX SuperMulti DVD±R/RW Double -.
    Control layer

    (2) R/RW SuperMulti FX Blu - ray player

  • Pavilion dv7 & new discs Blu - ray plays not

My laptop is a little older than a year.  A few months ago I bought my first Blu - ray (copyright 2009) movie and it plays well with HP MediaSmart.  A few days ago, I bought my second movie Blu - ray (copyright 2011/2012) and it won't play at all.  "Loading disc, ready to play" messages just keep looping back.  Installed a BIOS update, but made no difference on this issue.  There are two-disc Blu - ray and DVD in the box.  All are pristine, clean, no scratches.  Only the DVD plays.  Checked Support HP for driver updates, but could not give a sense of the descriptions.  I bought the film at the Fred Meyer store in Burlington, WA on April 3, 2012.  The Blu - ray 2009 always plays very well.

Should which driver I?  Or am I missing something else?  Thank you.

Save the file on the desktop and install it from there, not in a temporary folder.

After the installation, reboot the laptop and eject the drawer of the DVD/Blu-ray player with the button on the tray itself.

I then tried to play the two store bought and home made blu - ray disc and could not read media. I was ready to blame it on a bad burner but then I tried a regular DVD the two store bought and done House, and it plays very well. I then tried to burn a single dvd double layer with all the burning software three I have and it is still fine, no problem. It's just the blu - ray media that cannot be read or written. At this point, I don't know if it's a hardware or software problem with the computer or burner blu - ray or both. 3 different burning programs works fine on DVD but not blu - ray, DVD plays fine but can't play or burn blu - ray discs.
