  • Adobe first/Media Encoder CC Crash when exporting video for ~ 25 min (Mac)

    Specifications of the laptop:

OS X Version of El Capitan 10.11.4

2.5 GHz Intel Core i7 processor

    16 GB memory

Iris Pro 1536 Intel graphics card

    Problem:

Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder CC constantly crash when I try to export the sequence of a project which is roughly ~ 25 minutes in length, H.264.

The effects are used throughout the project, but only the base dissolves and black-and-white/contrast effects. Images comes from several sources, but all of the same mp4 file and type frame rates. There are also several PNG files in the Assembly, including the one I used to "frame" the movie to make it look more like images from other sources. Yet once, nothing complicated, not even a long dissolve (dissolved all is literally 2/24 frames in length).

Split the video into sections and exporting separately are no problem, even when comparing a relatively short section of 4 minutes for a much bigger and more focused on the effects of section 11 minutes. Needless to say, I really, really, really prefer does not export this video into sections. The intended destination is youtube, and I just want everything in an own mp4, not two 12-minute videos.

After some digging, I found similar problems reported on these and others and was especially deplore the possibility that my power supply is not large enough to cope, but it's still very confused. My MacBook is not 'stop', and as far as I could see, the Iris Intel Pro should have been sufficient even without a graph 5100 graphics adapter Pro 5200 or; as in the past I've already exported MUCH larger files, ranging from 35 to 85 minutes.

solved by downloading latest driver for Nvidia CUDA for Mac - really just a problem with the Mercury playback engine. Guess OpenCL was not simply cut to get the type of work I was doing.

Here is a convenient link to the latest CUDA for Mac drivers for all who encounter similar problems with export in Adobe Premiere Pro Media Encoder CC or CC: drivers CUDA for MAC Archive | NVIDIA

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS4 will not convert video .mov

    Hello

I have Adobe Media Encoder CS4 installed on my computer and I am trying to convert a .mov video in a format that can be edited on windows movie maker, and when I convert the video converts audio very well, but there is only a black screen. Any ideas as to why this could happen?

    Thanks in advance.

    John Marks

Right on happy it worked. Now, technically, we could probably use FFmpeg convert these into something that WMM would accept, and you should really be style, then.

Let's try this: duplicate the BAT file, I sent and replace the name 'mov2avi '. Right-click and select Edit, and then replace the last line with this:

    for %%a in (*.mov) do ffmpeg -i "%%a" -vcodec mjpeg -qscale 1 -acodec pcm_s16le -f avi -y "%%~na".avi

Save, and then run it. This will make a larger file, but you should be able to import this right in WMM. Let me know!

Yes, just downloaded WMM Live 2011 (or whatever it is called) and the import AVI in full. I would certainly recommend that, instead of convert twice.

  • CS4 Pro Export to Media Encoder Audio a, w/out video titles

My sequence is complete and looks a lot like the program playback. I export via Media Encoder and all is well. I have Media Encoder output is superb as well! The encoding takes about three minutes to end successfully. However, when I open the movie, I have sound, titles without video (black screen). I tried many output formats, including quitcktime & h.264, as well as different presets with the same result. That is what it is?

Can you tell us the exact export parameters chosen?

For many formats, you can choose video, Audio or both and can then determine the multiplexing. What's your game of multiplexing to?

A test, you can export to an empty folder and tell us what you end up with in this folder?

    Good luck

  • Adobe Media Encoder "extends" my original size video

When I export a XDCAM HD422 file (such as a, .mxf) who put on the scale or aspected sequences SD on the timeline using Media Encoder it changes the aspect or develops the images is a bit out of the box. If I have a mask on the timeline, it is shifted to the right. None of these problems occur if I do not use Media Encoder. Does anyone have a solution for this... or a workaround?

Please try to disable the 'import of the sequences in native mode' on the general tab of the dialog box Preferences of SOUL. Then close & restart SOUL and check that the new setting has been saved. (I've heard a few reports of coming back it to 'on'.) Now try queuing your SOUL sequence and see if the problem persists.

  • Adobe CS6 Media Encoder 4K video encoding

When Adobe CS6 media encoder will be upgraded to treat 4K video, or code in h.265?

There will be no change to Adobe Media Encoder CS6 (6.0). It is a version that is several versions behind the latest version, Adobe Media Encoder CC 20141 (8.1).

With regard to the changes made to the current version:

You can make requests of features here.

  • Still won't import markers with exit vid first through Media Encoder bluray

I have a significant video project, just completed, that needs to be taken out DVD and BluRay.  DVDs are made, no problem - three deadlines are each exported queues them in Media Encoder was created. .Xmp sidecar files are produced containing chapter markers and all this matter again without problem, are there chapter markers, DVD burning properly, works on a DVD player, all is good.

Now for the Blurays... Same process that before, queue the same timelines in Media Encoder, this time only export using the BluRay H264 HD1080i 25, export preset works great, no issues or error messages, but mporting in again (using import as asset, Import Timeline, etc.), I get the error:

«The metadata. MPEG file parse error» Delete or rename 'E:\YourVid\test.m4v.xmpses' will allow you to import, but markers will be lost. »

In other words, the markers file is either lack of export crrectly Media Encoder, or the absence of import correctly, or both.

I've never had this problem before, but this is the first export that I did with the latest versions of first and Media Encoder, IE versions:

    First CC: build a 20141 8.1.0 (81)

Media Encoder CC: 20141 build 8.1.0.122

    Still, CS6: Version 6.0.2.004

    ... on Win 7 Pro 64-bit

Can anyone help?  Other people have this problem?  Is this a bug with the latest version of Media Encoder and/or first, or is it just a coincidence and something else is the problem?  And most importantly, is there a reasonable solution (IE other than simply re-do all Chapter markers in Encore?) Can I export first chapter markers in yet another way?

    Help, please!

As SOUL 8.1.0 submitted bug report.

Export of H.264 - bluray TEA (and PR 8.1.0) creates a xmpses file that contains an xml error. This translates to an import failed in yet.

The error is after the marker section in the xmpses file:
    Length > 0

The tag must be , and the rest of the production which I assume must be in the file is missing.

One solution is to edit the xml code in the file xmpses. be sure to use Notepad or similar and not words to make changes.

The affected code is at the end of the file. (It should not be the end, the output to the file is obviously truncated compared to the output of the previous versions.)

The code ends with this, where, I guess, the number of streamsize is specific for the exported file:

    Length > 0
    94971497

    Remove "length > 0".

    It therefore appears as:

    94971497

This allows the import still with intact chapter markers.

I don't know if this will create other problems.

I used an NVIdIa graphics card, and I'm pretty sure that made with the card NVidia is much faster although the R9 is much better.

  • Alpha channel / Media encode a Question

    Hi all

I have a question that I think is just something that I'm on. I have a comp with a logo. The logo is made up of various files and has no experience. Third, it is very similar to a lower. When I make it on at AE through the rendering that I have no problem and the Alpha channel works as expected when they are imported into the BODY. The setting I use is QuickTime > Animation > RGB + Alpha, etc.

This morning I decided I wanted to start rendering through Media Encoder. I watched that video Colin Smith has done a fight a year ago to refresh my memory.

I pulled the top of Media Encoder, dragged my logo in MY computer and everything seemed to be going beautifully. I chose QuickTime > Animation codec > etc.

However, when you import the file into the BODY the Alpha channel did not. Where the Alpha channel is supposed to be the play as video black BODY. I went back to ME and double checked all the settings. I don't see anywhere in ME where you can specify an Alpha channel as you can in AE when you specify "RGB + Alpha".

Is there a setting in ME to activate/read the alpha channel that I'm missing? I really want to use me for future renditions of model of AE, but unless I can work around the problem of Alpha channel I will not be able to.

    CS6 all to date

Win Vista (not that I think that any question of specifications of system in this case).

    Thank you in advance,

    Shane

Of the SOUL, add the file to the render queue and click on either the codec or preset to open After Effects export settings. Video basic settings by selecting a 32 bit depth will allow the alpha layer. If you use a 10-bit codec or higher, set the depth of 64-bit.

Either by the way, have you thought about dynamic link from Premiere Pro to After Effects file? It eliminates the need for an intermediate file and maintains a depth of bit up to 32bpc.

  • Media Encoder encode 2015.3

I spent my morning fight with the first because it is broken in 2015.3. Finally got this to work. Now I am trying to send my Media Encoder deadlines, and they not covered by any circumstance codera. First, it is also difficult blocks the machine turn off and turn on again get anything to work. It is a timeline with AVCHD video clips. Had to turn off h.264 decoding on the front to keep it from crashing. No options I can find in Media Encoder.

Tried the two CUDA and software only. No difference in the result.

    Hoping someone has an idea.

2015.3 it have never been provided by Adobe. It is an unacceptable piece of crap. Professional quality products should not break the machines.

Update: after my letter to Adobe, I was contacted by Adobe Engineering. I told them I was going to be out of town, when they could have my computer to understand the issues. They worked on the questions that were originally the catchphrase and inability to work with AVCHD video. The fix for the forums would turn decoding H.264 that worked, but I still had other strange questions in first.

I am pleased to tell you that these patches will be released in the 2015.4 update. I have the chance to work with this update now, and overall, I see an increase in the performance of the system. Decoding H.264 has been rekindled in my first system. Media Encoder also works with AVCHD video, and I understand that they will be adding H.264 decoding box preferences in Media Encoder.

Great job Adobe and thanks for being attentive to your customers.

  • Media Encoder CC2014.2 crash on windows when you try to export if quicktime is installed

    Hello

I am trying to export .mov files (created on random Mac computers in very high resolution) to reduce the size of the file and have the same output format. (possibly 1080 p H.264-> .mp4)

I installed Media Encoder cc2014.2 on my pc (win7 64 bit, french).

When I tested first of all, that the audio was exported. But I soon realized I did not have the right codec installed on my PC.

(I did not read the original video file, played the audio only).

Then, like a good boy, I have installed Quicktime from Apple (7.76.80.95)

With QuickTime Player on my PC, I could read the original video file. (with quicktime player)

So I opened Media Encoder again, and this time preview I can see the video with sound. But as soon as I start coding (the small green arrow) Adobe Media Encoder crash.

I tried several output format, it is still down right when I start the file export.

I uninstalled Quicktime and media encoder works again... but cannot export my original (.mov) with video files, only the sound.

I tried a third-party codec (K-Lite), I can see the video + sound on my pc, but Media Encoder is always blind, without video, only the sound.

Is there a way to add codec to Media encoder without installing Quicktime?

Or a way to make the Media Encoder to work on my PC when Quicktime is installed?

BTW, I'm sorry if my text is a little confusing, I'm french speaking

    Thank you in advance!

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 slow rendering time

    Hello!

I'm new to video editing in general, but I'm quite intimate with the PC hardware so here.

    Specifications:

    • The stock of 4770K i7, no thermal regulation speed
    • 8 GB 1600 MHz CL9 DDR3 RAM
    • GTX 780 + 170 MHz clock and 110% limit/95 degrees C temp power target
    • Driver 368.39 used
    • 3 x Samsung 840 EVO (no raid)
      • Windows 10 64-bit running off SSD1
        • PE/AE/SOUL installed on this drive

        • Images under development

      • SSD3

    I save images using shadowplay NVIDIA from a 75 Hz screen 2560 x 1080. The output file is a 1920 x 1080 60 fps 35Mbps bitrate H.264 MP4 file. (1920 x 810 with black bars).

I would add that sequences Adobe Premiere elements 14, do any editing that I have to do, and then export it to a file of bitrate MP4 1080 p H.264 12Mbps. The rendering process usually take around 10-12 minutes to 6 minutes video.

I then add this file to output in Adobe After effects CC 2015, create a composition with drag and create a button, add a few layers of text and export it via Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 (AE supports native H.264 from what I understand) with the SAME PARAMETERS. But this time, and I estimate that I type here, render times are 40 minutes.

I ran a few tests and in the course of the first to make the CPU turns to about 80% CPU and the use of 1.8 to 2 GB, as I watch often some youtube in the meantime, so that understandeably not 100%. However, to the course to make AE/SOUL, le CPU CPU remains at about 30% CPU and 1.8 GB ram usage. With the help of the Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) I expect to see more high on my GTX 780 loads, but he is 2-3% of load, so anything.

Since my render outputs are (to the best of my knowledge) identical between the EP and shall return AE/SOUL, it seems that the use of material by SOUL is in this case. Other posters have suggested that some effects require the previous frame to be returned to pass, but I have not used such effects, are limited to simple text.

So what's happening? I would appreciate any insight you have on this and I stand ready to provide more information that you need.

    Kind regards

Before moving on to something else, I want to explain what I'm doing with text. I add text and overlay video, with sometimes a few very basic motion tracking (I can't forget this feature if I need). To the best of my knowledge, PE lets just add a black screen with text over time, like on a Blackboard for example. No text overlays/over-the-video (if it has no meaning...). So respect that, Premiere Pro have these features? If so I could make the switch.

Certainly, you should stop using the Premiere Elements and start using Premiere Pro. Not only it gives MUCH more flexibility in the work, but you can layer objects of type as much as you want on top of your film.

He was also transparent enough with AE. By example, if you have a shot that you want to add text, you could cut the part that would have text and simply right-click and choose "replace with After Effects composition. That images will be replaced with a dynamic link to a model of EI that already contains the images that you are handling. You save your AE project and results will be displayed immediately on the first! It's really convenient. If you want to keep this direct link, you can. Or if you are sure you are finished with AE work and wants to read smoothly at first, you can choose to make and replace it. It restores an intermediate file to AE and replaces the model tied first with her. VERY useful feature.

If you keep track of movement, you probably want to use AE. Although you can make an animation in Premiere Pro, AE is much more suited to do. And if you start to get really fancy, you probably want to do some rotoscoping too.

    Corentin Robin wrote:

I understand that EI requires much more accurately, and the way you explained it enabled me to understand one of the big question I had with her, which was "why reading in real time is so difficult in AE? You answered that perfectly, cheers!

There is much more detail in the fact that I could get! Basically, AE must first build a cache, and then he reads. Maybe I should have said that. It is even simpler and shorter!

On the issue of compression, I realized that the work of a compressed codec is not ideal. My gross output of Shadowplay file was indeed H.264 because I believe that is the single output file, it allows. I don't think I can do without shadowplay for now because it has unique characteristics which cannot be replaced:

    • For extremely low hardware with Nvidia drivers
    • Ability to retroactively save a video after an interesting "keep-worthy" event, to avoid recording 24/7 in the hope of something interesting

Those who do not sound like some very useful features. Just make sure that you get quality settings in the codec to achieve a data rate as it allows.

    Corentin Robin wrote:

Also, to continue on the issue of compression, I got mixed responses regarding this. Some, like you, would say that working with H.264 sacrifices quality and performance, but some say that it is not a problem since the youtube compression will be severely disfigue the file in any case.

YouTube can recompress, Yes. But if so, it adds ANOTHER layer of compression. That would be an argument even more important to preserve the quality of your side as much as possible.

    Corentin Robin wrote:

I think my question would be: I would win a much higher quality using Fraps/Dxtory where I can control the settings of the raw images (keeping in mind I lose the comfort of ShadowPlay) even though the compression of Youtube should (I think?) disfigure this film?

I think that the benefits of ShadowPlay outweigh the concerns that I had about compression in only one step. I still say don't do any other steps in making H.264s again and again that you transmit your project between applications. If you need to make something (you won't have to if you start to use together the Premiere Pro and AE), renders an intermediate codec until you create your deliverable.

    Corentin Robin wrote:

So, keeping in mind of all of your suggestions and the constraints I have / has chosen to conform to, I should:

    • Have the work files on a separate disk, with areas scratch on this drive or free
    • Replace PE PP to eliminate the need for the AE and have only a single record
    • Since a single rendition is necessary, it is therefore more a real need for an intermediate codec low compression/lossless

Yes. Although, you can still use AE, you have eliminated the need to make the intermediate files if you use Premiere Pro and AE set.

In addition the Dynamic Link workflow I mentioned, you can also (once you have finished your editing in Premiere Pro), your Premiere Pro project import into AE. Use import > import Premiere Pro control project. She puts your complete sequence in AE with each cut on its own layer. You really need to do if you started to do really complex with your AE work if.
