Media Player 11 payne repeatedly list lists the name of the file instead of file name

Hello:

I am using media player 11 to play .wav files.  The payne list shows only the name of the folder repeatedly (album name) instead of the list the file names (song).  How can I configure this to display file names?

Hello

· Will there be any changes on the settings on windows media player before the show?

I suggest you to change the sorting option on the reading list and check the results. You can check the link below for more information: create and use your own customized reading lists: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-xp/help/windows-media-player/11/playlists

    Hello

    1. don't you also get an error with the message code?
2 have you installed third-party readers part?
    3. What is the format of the files you are trying to play?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

I would have you readers of third party temporarily Uninstall and check if persists it to the question.

    Step 2:

Most likely you need codecs to play these files with Windows Media Player. I suggest looking up codec in the Internet that supports the file format, download and install them.

  • Windows 7 - Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file.

WMP worked fine one day and then the other, it will not play any type of file.  I just get the error message "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file." with each trying to play any type of file.  It won't play video or audio files, even those she played a few days ago.

Dano_TR: try to use system restore to restore to a point from before the problem started to happen, as I have suggested earlier in this thread.

In addition, if you have any installed codec Pack, try to remove the. Uninstall iTunes and Quicktime could also help.

  • Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file when Pinnacle Studio HD 14 is running

Windows Media Player encountered a problem while reading file he when Pinnacle Studio HD 14 is running

    Hello

I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I installed Pinnacle Studio 14 ultimate test. When the Pinnacle program works-

    a. when I run a WMV file there is no audio data.

    b. when I rang a MPEG 2 file (720 p, 25 frames per second) OR a file m2t, Windows Media Player is not able to read the file and gives the error: "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem when reading what he gives.

    c. when I close the program Pinnacle all right and WMP reads all of the above files correctly.

I also recently installed and uninstalled Corel VideoStudio X 3 of the trial. First Adobe Elements 8 trial is also installed on the PC.

I would be grateful yuour help solve the problem.

    Thank you

    Paresh

    Hello Paresh,

The Pinnacle program is third party software that is causing the problem to occur. Pinnacle may be in conflict with your music files playing in Windows Media Player, that's why, I suggest you to contact pinnacle and check with them.

Windows Media Player 12 is probably to use the codecs used by pinnacle, which may be the culprit.

  • Windows Media Player 12 will not reinstall, corrupt the file 'mpvis.dll.mui '.

I'm trying to fix Windows Media Player 12 without success.

I tried 'turned on' and 'off' Windows Media Player via "Turn Windows features on or off"-there did not work.  It will not fix the problem, and I think I know why.

I ran sfc/scannow from the cmd prompt gives me the following in the CBS.log log error message:

    [RS] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520 {260}, l:106 {53}] '------? \C:\Program files (x 86) \Windows Media Player\en-US "------[l:26 {13}] 'mpvis.dll.mui '; source file in the store is also corrupted

I just took the 'ownership' of the file and replaced by a different copy on another hard drive that worked.  I have the journal and if the information is needed to solve this problem I'll post here apart from the above error message.

Attempt to run Windows Media player only gives me the error message:

"Window Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled.  You want to install the player from the Microsoft website? »

I 'want' install the player on MS website, but they do not offer this possibility because it is nowhere available for download.  I have to say I am frustrated by this situation and I would like to know why MS decided to make this hassle to reinstall a program properly.

I guess that's the only option.

  • Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. Windows Media Player C00D11B1

I get this error when I try to play a file I've downloaded BBC iplayer. What is the solution?

My sound driver and the device is installed and running as I am able to listen to music on my laptop. He used to work until I upgraded to Windows 7. and since I have updated it did not work. Windows Media Player works on other video files

Please try the following steps: -.

    1. use Windows Update, or access the sound device manufacturer's Web site to see if an updated driver is available.

    2. use Device Manager to check the status of your audio device.

    a. click Start, right-click computerand then click Manage.

    (b) in the left pane, click Device Manager.

    c. in the pane, expand sound, video and game controllersand then look for the name of your audio device.

    d. do one of the following:

    3. If your audio device is listed, but the icon has a red 'X', the device has been disabled.          To activate the device, right-click the icon, and then click Activate.

    4. If your audio device is not listed in the right pane, expand other devices. If the Multimedia Audio Controller appears in the list, right-click on the icon and then click Update driver software. Follow the on-screen instructions to find and install the driver software.

    5. If you are not able to find and install the correct driver software, go to the Web site of your computer or the manufacturer of your sound device manufacturer for assistance.

    6. If you do not have a sound device installed on your computer, install an audio device and then try to play the file again. For more information, go to the Web site your manufacturer of the computer or the manufacturer of your audio device.

    7. If you try to play a file on the Internet, try again later. The server may be temporarily unavailable or there could be a network problem.

    8. If you try to play an MP3 file that contains compressed ID3 headers, make a copy of the file and then use an ID3 tag non - editing program Microsoft to remove or reset the file's ID3 headers.

The ID3 header is a part of the file that stores the album information of the song (for example, the song name, artist name, album name and kind). This information is sometimes called tag. After you remove the headers ID3, Windows Media Player should be able to play MP3 files.

  • When I keyin information of track using Media Player, is this info inserted in the file itself, or only in the index Media Player?

Original title: metadata key - music

My question is actually very specific: when I keyin track using Media Player Info, is this info inserted in the file itself, or only in the index of Media Player? If I have to rebuild the indexes in the metadata file, the indexed fields are kept in?

Only in the index of Media Player.  If you remove this file WMP (without actually deleting the computer/folder) and then read the file again, you would see that your changes have disappeared.

To actually change the file, you will need a program known as ID3 Tag Editor.
