Reference Dell upgrade memory T610

I have Dell T610 with a CPU E5506 server. I want to get out all of the memory from the server and install the new memory 4 grade 8Gb 2Rx4 RDIMMS DDR3 1333 MHz LV (Snpp9rn2c / 8g).

Will be ok? I got 32GB? Assorted memory work correctly with CPU E5506?

The 8 GB memory you bought is a low voltage given double revenu3 type double row of double error correction in modules of memory in line with Government (on the address lines?). They are compatible with your T610 and should work without problems (assuming that there are no unknown hardware failure).

What slots place you the RDIMMs will depend on you specify settings of the BIOS memory mode. If I understand correctly, this in turn can affect the speed of memory.

I would 1st set BIOS memory mode 'Advanced ECC' and place your RDIMS in the 4 closest slots of CPU1 leaving farthest 2 empty slots. Then I would run a memory benchmark to check performance.

You could also try changing the mode memory BIOS to "Optimized" and place the RDIMMS 3 white slots with 4th in the black slot more away from the CPU (marked A4). Then run a cue memory point and compare with the above configuration.

Each configuration should give you 32 GB.

You don't mention this type, the size or the number of DIMMs you had previously installed in your system, it is therefore impossible to tell if they can be reused or how. But since you mention that you replace them, I guess that's irrelevant anyway. However, if your old memory was UDIMM type (without buffer only = no records on the data lines), it's safe to say that you can not mix with of the UDIMM RDIMMS. If you old memory was of RDIMMS you can reuse them (but if they are not the type of low voltage, you will get the benefit of low voltage of your new memory because it will work under tension will use and therefore consume more power than would otherwise be the case).

Good luck.

I have an old Dell XPS 8000 core i7 (860) 2.8 ghz system with 4 GB of ram (4 slots... 2x2gb sticks seem to be installed in slots of alternative with placeholders between?), I threw a PSU 550w in there.

Linux tells me that the motherboard is

    Product name: 0X231R Version: A00

Googling seems to tell me that this will support 16 GB of ram. Is this fair?

I also seem to have a memory to find this motherboard is limited to 6 GB of just now, looking around I don't only upward.

is there anything else I should know before I go ahead and buy 2 x 4 GB 8 GB upgrade or 4x4gb for an upgrade to 16 GB... it will indeed ship support. is there a problem with 1600 mhz vs 1300 mhz rated memory. Should I change something in the BIOS to get this working.

If what I currently have is indeed 2x2gb sticks, no doubt I could buy 2x2gb to consider up to 8 GB

(I'm undecided on 8 or 16, I consider as pure and simple a new system of generation replacement i7, but I already have a newer laptop, I use a lot and I think that RAM + GPU upgrade could give me a good enough reason to continue using this machine... ram + ssd is expected to accelerate from the compilation whereas a new GPU should make decent games... I could see get a machine purely and simply new)

    Hello

Please write to us. My name is Jennifer and I work for Dell's Social Media team.

According to compatibility is concerned, we confirm that the Studio XPS 8000 model only supports a maximum of 16 GB of RAM.

However, please be informed that this specific machine has been designed to accommodate a maximum memory frequency of 1333 MHz. We do not recommend users to exceed this specification while choosing memory modules RAM.

Currently, the official Dell memory selector has a single compatible memory available for sale (new part).

    Accessories.Dell.com/.../ProductDetail.aspx; l = en & s = dhs & cs = 19 & sku = A6994453

It is a module 2 GB, and using 4 of them should spend your computer RAM to 8 GB.

If your Dell computer is currently under warranty, we recommend that you use the Dell brand memory to maintain the possibility of assignment/spare part replacement for your machine under the service contract.

However, if you want to update the external source memory modules, please use the following Dell as a reference in your search:

    Memory at 1333 MHz - 60KD4
    1067 MHz memory - N852H

Thank you for your continued interest in Dell computers. Please come back to this thread if you think that any unresolved issue persists in this regard, our team will gladly help you.

    Have a nice day ahead.

    Sincere greetings,

    Jennifer

  • Upgrade memory Dell Dimension 9150

    Hello

I'm looking to upgrade memory RAM on my Dell Dimension 9150 Dual Core (DXP051) clocked at 2.8 GHZ with 1 GB of ram. Motherboard is Dell 0YC523. IGB memory currently.

Watching the RAM is OCZ Enhanced latency Platinum XTC Edition revision 2 with speed 800 Mhz - CL4 (4-4-4-15) latency. 2 GB

OCZ recommendation is to increase the volatge of ram to 2.1V on the BIOS but I don't think that this is possible on the Dell motherboard.

Previousposts research, someone also asked a similar question but for an XPS 720 PC.

The solution suggested something about SLI or EPP ready... I'm not sure what it means. This means that the RAM must be SLI or EPP ready to be compatible with the motherboard of Dimension I or the mothersboard must be ready for use of these modules of memory SLIp/PPE? Can I use this module and if so, how do I change the voltage or the motherboard will adjust it automatically?

If not, can I get some other RAM?

    Thanks in advance.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6c05ev: upgrade memory (M471B5273DH0-CK0 to M471B5173QHO-YK0?)

    Hi all!

I have a Pavillion DV7-6c05ev. The product number is A8V36EA-B1A.  I'm trying to upgrade memory. On board, there are two modules of 1.5 volt. (2 GB Samsung M471B5773DH0-CH9 and 4 GB Samsung M471B5273DH0-CK0 and they work ofal channel). I am buying a second module M471B5273DH0-CK0, to have 8 GB dual channel.  I ordered a new, but I got a Samsung M471B5173QHO-YK0 instead of CK0. The YKO runs on 1.35 v and 1.5V, but I'm afraid to pair them up, because maybe something could go wrong with tensions. I found another store and ordered again CK0, but again, I received YKO. So now I have two new YKO. What do you think is it safe combine the old with the new KATE CKO (sellers insist that KATE is the replacement of CKO and will work fine on 1.5V, it will automatically choose the correct voltage. And the other question is, as long as I have two YKO, can I use these two as a pair?  There are exactly the same, but it is made in China and one in the Philippines, but I don't think it's a problem. And replace the two old memories? Is the compatible with my model M471B5173QHO-YK0?

(I found another seller with CKO, but I did not want to risk again. From what I understand, they have the old code on their pc, but there is a new, replacement, M471B5173QHO-YK0, and they ship the other. The question is if I can match up with the old CKO and return the second YKO, or keep two YKO and use them with my laptop).

    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards

    Zeta

No this is essentially the same thing. The 11 first is the latency CASE and the second number is not really speeds, but the SPD versions and then the B4 is just an internal reference to manufacturers for the memory form factor. The computer will see these 2 identical modules.

  • Reference Dell MD3200i correct editing with IP system and the NIC for faster network speeds

    Hi all

I worked on this project for a while now. I did a lot of research and have contacted Dell several times. I need help.

I have 2 sets of identical to use for Hyper-V clusters servers. We bought a Dell MD3200i in November, we also bought a Dell 5424 switch and a Cisco SLM2048 switch. These servers have Real Tek 2 network cards for iSCSI Jumbo frames is 9 k

The Dell MD3200i is two SAN controllers. Dell 5424 is the iSCSI optimized switch and Cisco is a 48 switch ports. iSCSI is on its own network that nothing else is connected to it. (There is an Iomega NAS and a promise Vtrak SAN Tech with all current domain of execution with iSCSI controller)

    Reference Dell MD3200i controller 0 Port 0 192.168.130.101 controller 1 Port 0 192.168.131.101

    Controller controller Port 1 0 192.168.130.102 1 1 192.168.131.102

    Controller controller Port 2 0 192.168.130.103 1 2 192.168.131.103

    Controller controller Port 3 0 192.168.130.103 1-3 192.168.131.104

Cisco switch has 1 VLAN n ° 1 on it and the 130 subnet inside elements. There are 8 connections to the switch. 4 controller 0 and 1 of each of the servers. It has an IP of 192.168.132.4, but that switch IP does not make difference. Lighted Jumbo frames

Dell switch has 2 of #1 for various things such as the domain controller, Vtrack, and SIN. Subnet 2 is 131 and has a total of 8 connectors inside. 4 in 1 controller and 1 from each of the servers. Lighted Jumbo frames. The switch IP address is 192.168.132.2

Groups of servers. Each server node running Windows 2008 R2 SP1 and running hyper-v with virtual server clusters / storage folder on them. 2 Realtek NIC with Jumbo frames made 9 k ProdNode1 and ProdNode2 have 12 Core i7 CPU with 12 GB memory, EXNode1 and ExNode2 have 12 Core i7 CPU with 24 GB of memory.

    ProdNode1 iSCSI-1 192.168.130.110 ProdNode1 iSCSI-2 192.168.131.110

    ProdNode2 iSCSI-1 192.168.130.120 ProdNode2 iSCSI-2 192.168.131.120

    ExNode2 iSCSI-1 192.168.130.140 ExNode2 iSCSI-2 192.168.131.140

Portal discovery iSCSI on ProdNode1 went to 192.168.130.110 192.168.130.101 and 192.168.131.110 192.168.131.101 each of the other servers Discovery Portal have been pairs like this.

iSCSI tab click on add 8 MPIO sessions at each of the ports on the MD3200i from Dell, target. For example, I added 1 session of 192.168.130.101 using it. Add Session,--> activate--> Advanced Mutlipath--> Local--> IP 192.168.130.110 initiator and target 192.168.131.101 iSCSI adapter. This is repeated on all servers. 4 connections for each NIC.

The network is very slow. It revolved around 2 to 4 MB/MIN and it should be much faster. Initially, we had only the Cisco switch with only 1 VLAN and everything connected directly to it. I read somewhere that MPIO has been the problem, so I went through the same configuration but does not verify the MPIO checkbox above. Once this has been done, the network speed went up to 1.5 GB/Min but modular storage Dell was not happy, and virtual servers would fail and the connection is not very stable.

What wrong with my setup? Can I directly home and fix the servers directly to the PowerVault and will make stable and allow for failover and redundancy NIC? I need to get this stable so I can move with something else.

    Thank you Ron

I bought two computers in July 2009. I had problems with both of them. Inspiron mini had a problem with wireless, Dell said was my fault. and refused to fix it until I told them. I wanted to return it them. Finally they gave me a free support and support person said that there is something wrong with the computer I received.  Something other than the computer is unbalanced and wobbles when he types. I sent the compture to get fixed and it never got fixed.  I thought I would just deal with it because you get what you pay for.

In January my XPS studio crashed. Screen has become sell contact of Virgin material and the damage. So I called dell. It took them a month to figure out, and indeed there is something wrong witht the computer. Thus broke computer I couldn't use it for a month. Finally I got the new memory and hard new dirve. The next day, my computer crashed. He spent a month trying to say Dell that something was wrong with my computer. All that time I spent 30-75 minutes on the phone with technical support. It was time that I called 4 days a week. I bought long and costly warrenties on my computer, including hardware and software. Not to mention cell phone chargers. Finally I conviced someone as my computer is really broken and they agreed to send me another computer. I'll go at least a computer that works. Understandable that it would take some time to get my replacement. My replacement date came and went. I called Dell again 45 minutes on the phone.  Then I've been transferred several times. The rep that I talked to said that they have not yet started doing my replacement.  It has been frustrating and I think that he was treated in a disrespectful way, what happened to quality customer service.

On top of that today I was warned that even if the company has already approved my payment of $ 1,500, they now can't seem to find a record of the transaction and consider my past due account.  Also, they refused to refund my money and couldn't give me any assurance that the situation would be resolved.

Anyone has any advice on the purchase of an Apple, I hear they have great customer service and wonderful tech support.

I just wanted you to know that you aren't the only one with all these problems.  I am struggling with for more than a month to replace my computer. Finally, on March 1, they said they would and they have placed an order.  Now a week later it stil is not delivered because they can't find a 'HARD' for my computer.  REFERENCE DELL SUCKS AND I WIL NEVER BUY ANOTHER.    I put a post of "do NOT GET ALL the ANSWERS.

  • Upgrade memory on an all in a single LX830

I may upgrade the 4 GB provided to meet the requirements of the program. Additional memory needs to be installed in pairs? The existing 4 GB occupies a dwelling, can I mount 8 GB in another location or it will be incompatible?

Well, mainly upgrade memory depends on the support of the chipset/CPU.

Not quite sure what computer Toshiba LX830 do you have exactly but as far as I know the L830 all in one units would support up to 16 GB of RAM.

A property used by a 4 GB RAM module and housing is free.
This is why it must be able to use another additional module of 8 GB RAM.

But of course, another module of 8 GB RAM should be compatible with the current 4 GB of RAM.
Otherwise, you will get some compatibility issues
