Media Player 12 - Digital rights management license and BBC iPlayer

I recently had to put a new hard drive in my old laptop failed. Now, I find that when I download BBC iPlayer programmes for use with the iPlayer desktop or Windows Media Player, I have a problem with the license. Looks like I need to reset the Media Player. How can I do this please?

Hi samrob_691,

Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon and select run as administrator.

Delete the log file should fix the problem with is program is temporarily unavailable. See the link below from BBC iPlayer.

For Windows Media Player:

  1. Go to Start
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. Select programs and features
  4. Select or turn off Windows features turn on
  5. Extend the functionality of media
  6. Uncheck Windows Media Player
  7. Click OK
  8. Restart the computer
  9. Repeat steps 1-5
  10. Check Windows Media Player

Let us know if that helps.
