Media player download problems.

I tried to download my music library on my (old) to my current laptop desktop by copying the files on my external hard drive. loading on the Media Player files, but will not play because it gives me a message for all the files that were loaded too many times and I have to download a license agreement, but when I type the selection to download, it tells me that I don't have media support drivers and plug-ins, that I need to download it.  What does all this mean? Thank you

  • Prevent covers Album in Windows Media Player download

I spent a lot of time fixingand manually editing my music with images 500x500px album art.
I read the article on http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7music/thread/6ff8c9fd-d97f-4304-bad5-693f7dbb4532/ but is not my problem - I can add the work that I need.

The problem I have is that Windows Media Player is updated online and replace my work 500x500px with the work of the database online 200x200px. In addition, it creates all the files small work of 75x75px that are cluttering the My Music folder.

I put retrieve additional information from the Internet on No, and I put Update music files by retrieving media information from the Internet so too, but it will still online.

I used Wireshark to determine that he goes to the following addresses:
    redir.metaservices.windowsmedia.com.akadns.NET
    serviceswitching.Metadata.windowsmedia.com.akadns.net

I blocked these addresses on my router but WMP is to find a way around. I looked in the registry and there is nothing about to totally disable the download of work (although this should already be disabled with set options).

I can put the Folder.jpg files read-only and you will avoid WMP to overwrite my files 500x500px, but I don't want it creates the files AlbumArtSmall. Richard Green, MCSA Windows Server 2003

easy... just completely block the windows media player by using your firewall... or add these addresses as 127.0.0.1 (redir.metaservices.windowsmedia.com.akadns.net; serviceswitching.metadata.windowsmedia.com.akadns.net)

    Hi Ron,

I apologize for the late response.

What is the brand and model of the computer?

I suggest that you download from the website of the manufacturer of the computer display driver and install it in the computer.

If the display driver for Windows 8 is not released by the manufacturer, and then install the latest version of the driver in compatibility mode and check.

Make the programs more compatible with this version of Windows

  • Two questions. (1) RIP in media player 11 problems. (2) portable speakers do not turn off when the headset is plugged...

Hey all. I desperately need help. I have a laptop "Durabook" with Windows XP meidand service pack 3 update.  The internal speakers have never turned off when I plug a headset or headphone cable of the adapter into the outlet. It is an option that I have figured out. All my other laptops have silenced the computer speakers when headphones are connected.

The most frustrating problem I have is in Media Player when you use the tab OUT, when I insert a cd Ripper in the computer, it is not recognized.  If I close and reopen WMP (Windows Media Player) cd, the cover and all the info of the cd is here and ready to be torn APART. Once the cd ends and ejects I insert another cd and nothing happens. Once again, I've closed and reopened WMP and evrything is ready to be torn APART again.

Please please help.  I can't be the only one who had this problem.  I removed all anti-virus programs, removed and reinstalled WMP, twice.

    I'd appreciate any help.

  • Windows media player 11 problem

I tried to uninstall the windows media player, because he would not let me update security files to play a media file. I went to the uninstall feature and this side he did uninstall but he is always here and now instead of a security message, I get a message that the (DRM) component encountered a problem. I tried to update the files of computers via windows update and also tried to go to the site directly. I also reconfigured my computer in December and I did not need to use media windows until now. If you have any ideas please let me know thank you for your time.

  • Windows 7 - Media Player 12 problem - won't open - error "Server execution failed".

    Hello

I have trouble with WMP 12 on Windows 7. Whenever I try to open the program, the window opens, but it is completely insensitive and greyed out. I can close it in "End task" in the Task Manager.
When I try to open a file, for example a video, I get the C:\User\Public\Videos\Filename.wmv error message
    Server execution failed
Previously, I was able to remove the library to solve the problem. Nothing I did worked this time.
Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated that Windows 7 was not a very good experience for me so far!

  • What Media Player download that is compatible with windows 7 HP enterprize

To anyone who might be able to help. I searched most of microsoft for an answer, but it seems to work around the race. I am looking for a media player that is compatible with my Windows 7 Enterprize 64-bit w/service pack one installed. Totally confused on this one. If Microsoft does not have to install it, what are the choices to install a media player that would be compatible. I tried RealPlayer. This is not a huge success for a media player to this computer. Thanks to all those who may be able to solve my problem.

    Sincerely yours.

Try VLC.  Just Google it.  Free.  Quite universal and one of the most highly recommended.  It is my practice to install this in the PC to all my clients.

  • Failed to start Windows Media Player - Version problem

    Hi all

When I try to start Windows Media Player, I get the following error:

the wmplayer.exe file has a version number of 12.0.7601.18526 where 12.0.7601.17514 was expected

I used WMP on this machine before with no problems, probably most recently about a month ago. I have automatic updates on so I don't know exactly when this problem started. I tried to uninstall/reinstall WMP, but this has not led to no success.

Here, any help would be great.
