Memory faster card for Powershot SX150 IS

Hello

I was wondering what is the memory faster card that I can use in my Powershot SX150 IS?  Looking at this:
Transcend 16 GB Flash memory card class 10 SDHC (TS16GSDHC10E)

SDHC memory card class 10 Ultra high speed

The card high speed would fit my camera?

Would appreciate any help!

Thank you!

This is a nice tool, but like many "ads", it is not quite true. Look, for example, the information provided for this card

http://PCT1.SanDisk.com/ProductPage.aspx?ID=3636

They grow to how fast you can READ, but not how fast the camera can WRITE to it, which is the important specification. I can't find this info on THEIR page, so how do I know if it's the right card? (Very important note I mainly have Sandisk cards, but I chose them based on the WRITE speed & not the PLAYBACK speed).

  • NVIDIA Geforce GT640 good graphics card for PrE10 despite the bandwidth low memory?

Can anyone confirm that the nVidia Geforce GT640 is a reasonable graphics for first 10 Elements and Photoshop Elements 10?

The person who set up my office of 3770K Core i7 with 16 GB of RAM at 1600 mHz installed map GT640 nVidia with 2 GB memory DDR3. He said that it was a good (low cost) card for video editing because it has 384 CUDA cores - very useful for video editing. I'm pretty ignorant on graphics cards, but as the power consumption low, 65 watts and deemed cool temperature resistance. I have read since DDR5 memory would have been much faster due to a higher bandwidth memory - say 80-90 GB per second compared to 28.5 Gb per second for DDR3 memory on the GT640 map. I've been after use of economic power. DDR5 memory cards use 110 watts upward and run a lot hotter than the DDR 3 cards, all other things being equal. Really fast cards require a special power and cooling.

Does anyone know if the bandwidth limited memory is important in video editing? Speed is much more critical in the game than in video editing? Are other attributes such as 384 hearts CUDA, synchronization of nvenc, dedicated encodment, 28nm architecture Kepler, frame buffer of memory 2 GB, 1.3 billion transistors, many units of texture - more important than bandwidth memory in video editing? Limited by memory bandwidth DDR3 affects the image quality?

I read that the GT640 would be much faster (producing the best image quality?) as the HD4000 integrated Intel graphics processor Core i7 Ivy Bridge. Is it so?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and all programs are installed on a SSD 120 GB OCZ Agility 3. My data drive is a 1 to 7200 RPM Seagate SATA 3. I have a nice 21 inch ASUS LED monitor and recorder blu - ray LG vs228n.

I did a lot of editing with PrE 3 with a desktop Dell 3.06 gHz hyperthreading and Win XP. The output and even control the preview was clear and stable. I'm continuing to capture a mini tape dv standard definition of a 3 months Panasonic handycam FireWire, but plan to upgrade to HD 3MOS to flash memory. I do really small control - about 7cm wide - PR10 screen, because the quality of the preview image is much poorer than the quality I experienced with the first elements 3 with Win XP program. This is just an indication of the memory gain in pre 10 previews? I expect the output to be much higher, although still mpeg2-DVD quality until I update my camera. I put the record on the maximum bit rate.

In any case, despite these reservations with the quality of the preview, the GT640 seems very well on stage. Quality of the image in Photoshop, and online on my computer is excellent.

I updated the driver nVidia yesterday to version 306.23 display.

Almost all graphics cards forums are subject of the game. I hope to see more forums on graph editing here.

What do you think of the 2 GB nVidia GT640 for editing with 10 pre-Photoshop Elements 10? How about image quality in the pre 10 monitor compared to the quality of the production? Quality of the image in the monitor of the PrE 3 sharper and more stable, because I imagine?

Premiere Elements is not chart-map-dependent. You should be fine. In fact, finer.

  • best memory card for cyber-shot

Hello, I have just my first Sony Cyber-Shot today. I bought the memory card, see you at work: ScanDisk Ultra Plus, 64GB, speed up to 40 MB

Anyone have a good recommendation for this carmera? My thanks, frustrated new owner

Wait... you said "doesn't work", which means that it works?
I don't see where the problem is whether you are owner of a new cause frustration.

If the problem is more so relating to the speed of memory card, as I understand it, the faster cards that Sony cameras can take are the ones 95 MB/s. All the works faster, but it's not really a difference. 95 MB/s is simply the CAP.

I remember someone test cards to 95 MB/s and faster, the difference was minimal strip - the conclusion was that 95 MB/s is on it.

  • Help on graphics card memory and upgrade for iMac

    Hello!

I need advice on a good new graphics card for iMac 27 inch end 2012. My work is mainly in animation, Visual effects and game development soon, so I need an additional card to increase my speed.

Currently, I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB card. Do you think I should stick to a similar card? Is there something new that will offer me better performance at an affordable cost?

I don't have much money to spend, but I can certainly use additional graphics now.

I have also 2 remaining memory locations that accepts DDR3 1600 MHz memory module, but it seems that this module is no longer available. If I had to choose between a graphics card and RAM, which should I go with?

Finally, can I install these myself? I don't have any Apple Store around me and I do not trust the computer guys in my area.

First of all, the iMacs are notoriously difficult to make something with except add RAM. Here is a good site where you can get some info on the dismantling, etc.:

    https://www.iFixit.com/

Usually, graphics cards should be replaced with the same model/type of work (if any) - see above site for this kind of info. I'm quite sure that you cannot add just one - iMac is not designed for it.

Regarding the RAM, just check out OWC for necessary RAM:

    https://eShop.MacSales.com/shop/memory/iMac/2012_27/DDR3L

Check that your model is listed. I don't know where you would have been told that the RAM is no longer available (FWIW, Apple does not sell RAM and uses of third party RAM in the new Macs).

I'd go with the RAM - how many do you have now? Adding RAM is easy.

  • best memory card for NEX - 6

    Nice day

I recently bought a digital camera NEX-6. But I don't know what that card memory to buy.

does anyone know what is the maximum write speed of a NEX-6 can handle forever photo and full HD video?

I am currently looking at sandisk extreme pro with 95 MB/s rating and it is quite expensive.

Although if my NEX-6 can reach this speed so it would be nice.

I hope someone can help me with this.

SD cards with at least a speed class 4 are recommended. The camera can use Sony®, SanDisk®, Toshiba®, and Panasonic® SD, SDHC or SDXC cards with up to 64 GB storage capacity. However, the NEX-6 is not intended to benefit memory class card UHS - 1 speed. Other brands and capacities may work also, but have not been tested.

  • Why the fan on my macbook pro continue to run at a fast pace for long periods?

    The MacBook Pro mid-2010

OS X El Capitan, 10.11.3 version

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 duo

    Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 320 M 256 MB

    163 GB available

iWorks ' 09 has been upgraded to the latest versions

No new upgrade is available for the system.

My Question: Why the fan on my macbook pro continues to run at a fast pace for long periods?

I guess that the fan runs constantly, because the CPU is working at a high rate. I rebooted several times but without any resolution systems. At the bottom of the computer is very hot at times so place the laptop on an object that allows good air circulation. This problem occurs intermittently every few weeks or more. I wonder if it is downloading an important upgrade, do a scan of viruses, or by working as a bot. Lights for hours. Currently, I estimate that it has worked rapidly to possible 6 hours. Thank you.

It will usually be to dissipate internal heat from running resource intensive applications.

Download and install a temperature/speed control application.

Open the activity monitor all THE PROCESSES and CPU to display values between high and low.

When the fan speeds up, post pictures of both for review.

    Also run Apple Hardware Test:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201257

Note that an error free AHT is inconclusive.

    Ciao.

  • "PP can now take full advantage of the PC with several GPU cards for export substantially accelerated time"

On the features page Adobe clearly shows:

    Export multiple GPU support

Premiere Pro can now take full advantage of computers with multiple GPU cards for export substantially accelerated time. Rendering and compression just got a whole lot faster.

Can someone PLEASE be very specific as to how it works with the new 2015 CC?  I just bought my 2nd GTX 970 and SLI it had.  Now I read a lot of conflicting testimony online and can't seem to get a straight answer.  Please don't refer either items that are either outdated or forums.  Adobe CC 2015 was just released there not too long ago, which is what this new feature.

Is having two 970's beneficial for first use SLI and AE?  Can I use the SLI bridge or not?   Can I turn in NVIDIA SLI Control Panel?  Or did I frankly just lose $330?

Any educated idea would be GREATLY appreciated to help relieve this anxiety.  Thank you...

Eric Bowen of computers ADK is frequently here on this forum, and with Bill Gehrke, can give you the best technique advises compared to your current and future workflow exact. Change style and which codecs you use are very important.

Given that you JUST improved don't panic... There are a few simple adjustments, you can do to get the most out of your current equipment.

    1. make sure your Samsung 850 pro has ONLY your operating system, programs and Windows swap file on it... nothing more. Turn off "Indexing" for all your disks in the system. You will need a separate and quick 'reader' for ALL your other files (images, previews, projects, export, media cache and cache files). The IDEAL reader for this is the new SSD Samsung SM951 PCI, which runs more than 1.5 GB/s.  The performance is going to be super fast. the use of this drive, but its capacity is LIMITED. You would then be advised to add drive hard level of large companies 'offload' all files to the guard. These recent hard drives crashed at 200 MB/s with a 128 MB cache on them and go up to at least 6 TB of size... they are not expensive.

    2. your CPU is designed to be overclocked... TAKE ADVANTAGE of that and try to get the highest stable frequency, you can with it, ensuring that you use a good cooling solution--probably water. Performance will get a significant boost of this MOST important factor.  Of course, your CPU has "only' '8 processors" with hyperthreading from the end superior Haswell E CPUs that can give you sixteen YEARS... but, SPEED of CPU CLOCK is KING and will affect your performance because MOST of the video are processed ONLY with the CPU. NVidia GPU support will BE GREATLY whenever SPECIFIC on your timeline functions are those which can be CUDA accelerated... i. e "scaling", "ultra key", "dissolves" and a host of effects and other features. When it is the GPU CAN speed up the heavy calendar saturated with CUDA effects by a factor of TEN TIMES when "made this preview," or, "exporting media" your CPU has a stock speed of 3.6 Ghz and will be turbo up to 3.8 on all 4 cores. MANY users are overclocking your processor to a stable 4.7 Ghz... Some are more than 5 GHz! You can see that an increase of a full Ghz would give you about 20-25% performance... it's a LOT!

It has been said here on this forum that once the processor is more than 4 GHz, it's OK even to 4K.

However, I've ALSO seen here, (Eric, I think), that certain types of 4K really needs to have a GPU that has a minimum of 4 GB of memory DDR5 video memory due to "frame problem", or "frame buffer".    Thus, a return of the 970 s and KEEP one, (if it has 4 GB of video memory or more). Use the return to SM 951 drive.

    3. make sure all your settings are properly defined. In Windows, power settings make sure that all settings are for OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE so that Windows reduce NOT anything automatically... I learned this lesson on my laptop... the DEFAULT settings have been throttling the CPU and the GPU all the time until I fixed it!

Then, first, make sure that you have the correct settings to allocate the amount of memory for first use... Eric has said here, it should be at least 3 GB by thread (I think... it can called ' base'...) I forgot). In YOUR case it means assign 24 GB of system memory for first, (8 'threads' x 3 = 24 GB). The rest can be defined for use in 'other programmes' of course, you can experiment and increase the amount of 3.5 or another higher.

    4. do not panic... Bill and I have the same laptops Asus who two years now with the 765 m 2 GB NVidia GPU in them and the HQ of 4700 i7 CPU. We shitcanned included and 5400 RPM hard drive and we both installed two quality SATA III SSD in each of the two hard drive bays. We also each increased the memory of the laptop to 24 GB. Bill has already done a few projects 4K basic on his laptop and I have experimented with 4K on mine. On my laptop, basic editing is not a problem with 4K, but addition of video tracks and effects slowing it... However, the chronology which fixes not making it. YOUR machine correctly overclocked, with more memory than we and a SM 951 and a GPU 970 should do very WELL at the moment... I think.   Unless you want to spend 4 to 5 $000 on a new machine of Haswell E X 99!

p.s. If you are working with 4K and 1080 p quality, you need a couple of good monitors. I recently bought TWO 27 inch Acer IPS monitors that are WQHD, or, 2560 x 1440 p in the resolution. They were rated very high in addition to a review and are IPS... the density of pixels is IDEAL... to 27 inches, 1440 p video looks LIKE 4 K!   The quality of the color and the image is amazing. My laptop powers BOTH monitors at full resolution! We use HDMI 1.4 and the other the 'mini displayport' 1.1 connection... (which is also called Thunderbolt version 1). This monitor is only $200 on the egg, (including a $50 discount). Others in this class are 6 to 7 cents.

  • Memory mixed config for a Precision T5500

I just got a T5500 with 6 GB of RAM recommended in it as three 2 GB in memory slots DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3 RDIMMs. The RDIMMS is double rank RAM Samsung M393B5673EH1-CH9 =.

I think to buy three double 4 GB row RDIMMs of the Samsung same '1 GB E-die/72-bit ECC/78FBGA' "production group" and put in DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3 and join the current RDIMMs DIMM4/DIMM5/DIMM_6. The 4 GB RDIMMs would be M393B5170EH1-CH9.

I don't know if the production group is the right terminology.

I realize that I might well be able to add many other types of RAM recommended for this machine.

Samsung to these RDIMMs documentation (more info that I need way) is at the ADDRESS below.

    www.Samsung.com/.../180107ds_ddr3_1gb_e-die_based_rdimm_rev106.pdf

My current CPU is a Xeon E5504. I will likey updated the BIOS and then upgrade to an E5640 or faster processor and also the swap in a U016F/0U016F heatsink. I doubt I'll need 2 CPUs in this machine.

So, my question is... will this fly?

The "supported Memory Configurations" in the Installation Guide for a single processor for the T5500 are:

    GB ranks DIMM1, DIMM2, DIMM3, DIMM4, DIMM5 DIMM_6
    3, SR, 1 GB, 1 GB 1 GB
    4, SR, 1 GB, 1 GB 1 GB, 1 GB
    4, M., 2 GB, 1 GB 1 GB
    8, M., 2 GB, 2 GB, 2 GB, 1 GB 1 GB
    12, SR, 2 GB, 2 GB, 2 GB, 2 GB 2 GB, 2 GB
    12, DR., 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB
    24, DR., 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB, 4 GB
    24, DR., 8 GB, 8 GB 8 GB
    32, M., 8 GB, 8 GB 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB, 4 GB
    48, DR., 8 GB, 8 GB, 8 GB, 8 GB, 8 GB, 8 GB

The configuration of the memory I want to run is not in the supported list. [The commas in the list are to avoid any compression of empty tank, if this site is.]

The installation guide says (in a configuration CPU 1) "If configuration contains DIMMs of mixed sizes, fill the DIMMS over first." Which means that my 4 GB RDIMMS should be in DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3.

Everyone here an experience to try a config memory like that in a T5500? Any other comments would be welcome.

    Thanks for reading all this!

I ran two tests and the results are...

This memory mixed configuration worked well for me in two different T5500s. YMMV of course because it is not a "supported Memory Configurations." This means that, at the time of publication, cycle of these machines that Dell did not test for this config work in all situations and so compatibility can be a somewhat random thing in some situations.

Tests show below that for my 2 T5500s this config memory ran without error and at the same speed memory whereby each T5500 will run normally. None of these two T5500s run RAM at 1333 MHz maximum rate, because that will not support the processors they have in them. A single processor supports 1066 MHz RAM and the other RAM 800 MHz. If this test would have been done with a Xeon X 5550 or better (support 1333 MHz) then maybe a slight slowing in speed of RAM might have emerged... who knows.

The tests below were made with the Samsung M393B5673EH1-CH9 2 GB DIMM (PC3-10600R/DDR3-1333), I mentioned in the 1st post. For the DIMMs to 4 GB, I used low voltage Samsung M393B5170FH0-YH9 DIMM (PC3L-10600R/DDR3-1333) because that's what I have on the spot. I never knew before that you can mix normal and low-voltage DIMM, but I found a post about it on this forum. With the T5500/T7500, you can mix (YMMV) as long as you keep them in different banks/groups.

Banks of memory triple channel/groups are a T5500 (one per line):
    DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3
    DIMM4, DIMM5/DIMM6
the DIMM card 3 riser (if you have a 2nd CPU)

The two tests below are with 4 GB DIMM in DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3 and 2 GB DIMMS in DIMM4, DIMM5/DIMM_6 and not riser card/2nd of processor installed. All DIMMs are double row (2Rx4/2Rx8). For me, it was suggested by someone I respect that mix DIMMS with different grades is generally not a hot idea (YMMV). In a T5500 if you have mixed DIMM size then put DIMMs larger on riser if you on the other put them in DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3. In each memory/bank group, you want to have the same kind of RAM. Fact all in threes is optimal and strongly suggested.

The first machine I've tried was a T5500 2011 (mobo 0CRH6C) with a Xeon E5504 CPU. It seems that all processors E5506 or less only supports memory at 800 MHz and the E5504 is in this bucket. This means that a MEMORY faster barrette would "clock down" at 800 MHz. I did a test of 24 h on Memtest86 + v5 of the mixed config 4 GB / 2 GB DIMM without any error. The BIOS set the RAM at 800 MHz = PC3-6400/DDR3-800 speeds. It is somewhat a waste of speed, but the problem isn't with the CPU, the RAM.

The second computer I tried was a T5500 2009 (0CRH6C mobo) and the CPU was a Xeon E5640. It seems that E5550 CPU or higher support 1333 MHz memory and processors E5520 or higher support 1066 MHz memory. It seems that the E5640 is into the 2nd bucket (1066 MHz support).

I did a test of 12 hr Memtest86 + v5 of the mixed config 4 GB / 2 GB DIMM without any error. The BIOS has set 1 066 = PC3-8500/DDR3-1066 MHz RAM. Again, the slowdown has been because of the CPU.

The stickers on the 2 mobos time say 0CRH6C, but the numbers after that are a little different, so there may be a slight variation here. The T5500 2009 has the latest version of the BIOS and the 2011 has still an early BIOS (A06?).

The performance of memory at a slightly slower speed... I think that if you are using a computer that had the memory was idle a little you would have a hard time 'feel the difference' due to the fact that location main memory you want at some point is probably already in the L1/L2/L3 on the CPU cache.

Benchmarks can certainly show little difference because of the slowdown in speed of RAM, but if you are clicking on a computer and it is 5% faster or slow it's will all feel the same.

All comments/comments are quite welcome, especially on what memory speeds supported are for the processors that the T5500 can take (also T7500).

I notice that in the very recent thread started by the user claytonb entitled "Memory Configuration in Precision T5500" he has a very similar memory configuration and it works for him.

It seems that I can't join this post if a screw link follows.
