Memory riser

I have a Mac Pro 3.1 and one of the elevators of memory is dead. It's Elevator B and I was wondering if a riser scored will work in the B slot.

Thanks for your help

Yes, they are identical.

  • Memory risers 3.1

Hello again. Memory riser card numbers would work in my Mac Pro 3.1. : 820-1981. The elevators that don't currently exist they have these numbers: 820-2072. My backsplash of B is toast. Thanks for helping out.

It seems that this part number is not the Apple part number, but perhaps the manufacturers part number. Try to find another room number similar for example 922-8492.

It seems there may be different versions for the MacPro1, 1 and 3, 1 - not sure of the 2.1 I think which will be identical to 1.1. 922-8492 part number could be the one for your MacPro3: 1 an assumption, I think the part number 922-7695 for a MacPro1, 1

  • UCS hot add/replace memory/CPU

Hello. I know on cisco UCS C460 we can expand the amount of memory using memory riser cards. Memory riser cards are hot-swappable. This means that when I run Win2008R2 Datacenter Server c460 I can hot add and replace the memory riser card memory?

Can I hot replace memory on the motherboard slots?

What UCS server models are supported CPU hot add/replace?

    Dmitry,

Yes the risers of memory are hot-swappable, so assuming that the bare metal OS can support memory added to hot it will work.

There is no DIMM slots on the motherboard directly on the C460.  Memory riser is only motherboard for memory interfaces.

There is no such a thing to my knowledge as an addition to hot CPU on all Cisco platforms.

See the Installation Guide HW for more information:

  • Can someone explain please the 4SNS/1/40000000 error code: TMOP - 127.875 and how to solve the problem?

    AHT error code.

You have problems? Why do you run Apple hardware *?

    Of

    http://www.CNET.com/news/how-to-invoke-and-interpret-the-Apple-hardware-tests/

which would indicate a bad sensor on one of your memory modules or riser:

In the case of an error in probe (4SNS), to determine what type of sensor is referenced, look for his first letter, which should be 'I' for the current "V" or "T" for temperature, voltage.

Then check the second letter from the list below to see which component it refers to:

    A: ambient air sensor
    B: battery
    C: Central processors (CPU)
    D: DC (direct current)
    e: PCI-express slot
    F: FireWire port
    G: graphics processor (GPU)
    H: drive
    h: heat pipe (heat sink)
    L: liquid crystal display
M: memory or the memory riser cards

I would first install a monitoring app like Mac Fan Control of temperature

  • Incorrect RAM / missing

I have an old Mac Pro model that was purchased with 26 GB of RAM, this has always been shown as well on the subject this Mac screen. However a few weeks ago I noticed that it showed only 16 concerts as being installed. And more recently he has dropped to only 8. I have not installed any new RAM or even touched. The system works well with no unexpected shutdown lows. I was wondering why the RAM is expected to decrease, and if anyone else had a similar problem.

    What model Mac Pro?

Memory in the 2006-2008 MPs run hot and do not over time. When they fail him disappear as you see.

The MPs ECC (error correction code) memory memory ANDS use errors are usually corrected and which is invisible to the user. When you get too many mistakes, the pair of bars of memory is taken offline. Sometimes, which also cause a kernel panic.

Sometimes reinstall the modules and the memory riser card (2006-2008) can solve the problem. Sometimes it's just a temporary solution

Then I replaced the card of underkeyboard with the original 512 memory card and nothing changed, finally I removed the second 1 GB card so I was back to the original configuration and all is back to where I started.  Everything works but no upgrade memory.

  • Help! My Macbook Air has a high memory pressure.

    256 GB of flash storage

    1.6 GHz processor

    4 GB memory

    OS X Yosemite - Version 10.10.5

A few weeks memory of my Macbook Air pressure continued to increase, most of the time he was in the green zone, but it has been several times that I had the pressure of memory to be in the yellow box with a few tabs in Google Chrome. In addition, the Kernel_Task continues to rise as it was around 380-390 MB a few weeks ago and now he's moved more than 500 MB. I tried to restart and stop the computer several times as an attempt to decrease the Kernel_Task and even thought that the memory pressure is high, the CPU doesn't have a lot of problems, because it is essentially inactive between 65 and 80 percent.

What it looks like without all the eleven (shown) Google Chrome processes running? You should never see Swap used, and that tells me that you are using too many applications for your 4 GB memory available on your machine. With this RAM limited, you have to be very selective of what applications and browser tabs are open (you use) quit everything.

  • FX 30.0 is it normal that after only 5 hours to use memory exceeds 1,500,000 K?

Hello everything is in my question above. FYI, I have 12 tabs open, and my average is between 10 and 15. Before 30.0 consumption memory was about 600-700 k, but now he rises rapidly to above 1.500.000k.
Accidents happen after 1.700.000 k and one automatic report is sent to Mozilla.

As said I don't have too much problem with that, but it's annoying as my computer slows down.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    Hello

    Came a cross this rolling strip [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=217818 | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=217818]

    Sorry my bad English,

So I have 4 GB Ocz Rally2 Turbo memory stick, and it will not rise in the computer. My other 1 GB Fujitsu Siemens and 32GB Verbatim USB sticks work.

It's brand new, portable 2 weeks of age. And there seems to be a problem in the hardware level.
    Windows 7 64-bit.

Should I just send it to repair/money back guarantee?

    Hi JoneK,

Have you tried this USB stick on another computer or laptop? The new USB is may be defective and so it doesn t work.

At the moment I doubt s a problem of your laptop because other USB keys work correctly.
At least, it might be a compatibility problem between the USB and the laptop but first test it on another computer.

  • xw8400: memory from 8GB to xw8400 / xw8600?

    Hello

I own a xw8400 and want to use the modules of memory 4x8Go.

I bought 64 GB (8x8Go) FB DDR2 Fully Buffered PC2-5300F 667 and they are accepted by the system.

But after a while the computer breaks down / off. There are no blue screen or another trick helping to find the cause. The machine is switching to as pulling on the power cord.

At first I thought that this could be a cooling problem. So I checked the temperature, and it seems to be in the regular limits (about 28-30 ° C air temperature).

I found the info on the web, 32 GB on this machine (2 CPU) should be possible with a riser card (8x4GB). On the other hand, it could be only a result because the 8 GB modules were not available at this time.

    I have two questions:

    * Is it possible to use 8 GB modules on a system with 2 CPU xw8400?

    * I'm testing modules with memcheck, but is it possible to obtain diagnostic information why the system stops?

    THX G.

This could relate.  I have not confirmed this, but I think that the controller memory on the xw8400 is the same as on the xw6400.

I noticed for a previous project that HP has officially supported specific 8 GB sticks in the xw8600, and controllers memory xw6600 and xw8600 were the same.  This gave me the idea that maybe, although not documented, these sticks of same for the xw8600 may work correctly in the xw6600.

I received a portion of these HP 8 GB sticks and confirmed that they would run in my builds xw6600 very well.  , But they would not go in versions of my xw6400... even sticks, stations works perfectly same if they had HP 4 GB sticks in place.

I think that you are facing a problem of memory controller on this older generation xw8400 post working... the sooner (6400/8400) and late (6600/8600) generation workstation familes I note above have different memory controller chipsets.

  • LV memory leak - how to use windows API SetProcessWorkingSetSize (from Kernel32.dll)

    Hi comrade LV'ers

Well - it's a little tricky, but I will try and explain the problem and then ask the solution, because it is maybe someone knows a better way to deal with this... can get a bit long, sorry - if a solution comes up it will allow all of us to do more effective memory LV code so please read on...

    Here's the deal:

When building even a simple executable LV, looking at the windows task manager will give a fairly large amount of memory allocated for such a small program - and the only way to free that is physically clicking windows minimize button, and then suddenly the amount falls to only a few MB and to maximize the window again once memory increase consumption somewhat new , but for a simple construction of VI for an exe that movement can alter consumption of + 70 MB less than 15 MB... This is regardless of the code that you put in the VI, so no coding example in this post, as is works the LV - you can even test with the development environment - look at the task mgr and verify the consumption of memory of LabVIEW, open inappropriate, ALL AND windows incl. Explorer etc., and you will see a significant decrease in the use of memory even after optimizing yet... This has bugged me since the first day, but as the RAM is a near zero cost these days is not something that I stay awake at night thinking... However - I spent in the tools to "publish to the web", eager to be a part of monitoring remote for my application my clients to discover the increased ease of use of the software that I sell them...

All right, the editing is really easy (I use the monitoring function, NOT the embeded, clients should not have installed Labview RunTimeEngine because they could be watching a platform RTE unsupported as a web browser for mobile phone)

Everything works very well also for the purposes of construction. -J' noticed that once users start remotely monitor running application - use memory in the application being LV begins to rise - and it keeps this making - to such an extent that you can drain the full computer and run the cliff with a windows error... It is of course not very productive for me, being specialized in measurement applications that usually runs for a long period of time - I first thought that I had made a few poor emissions in the VI will display on the Web page - but it turns out that I can reproduce this behavior with a simple Boolean on an empty façade...

Supported OR has been informed, and they admit there is a problem, but so far, solutions to them was a bit too exotic for my taste, and so I'm looking for help from colleagues LV programmers...

See you-the method to solve the memory consumption, is exactly the same one mentioned above... minimize the application running with the "minimize" button and all the memory will be released, as soon as you maximize the application and users are viewing from a distance, the use of memory raises once again, and history repeats... As mentioned previously, reducing the window via normal calls from LV property nodes does not give the same result, no more than a request deallocation of a VI (when you profile a project, there is no VI not growing to in memory, it is the LV the treat yourself do)

After many search on Google for many hours, I came across this:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=293215

I think cutting the process with SetProcessWorkingSetSize would solve this problem, and now I would really like to be able to do that in my program, so that users are not forced to reduce every X hour program depending on their size of system...

However - I have absolutely NO experience in calling the APIs windows of LV, I need someone with this knowledge to give an example of how to call this... I looked at the examples on how to make calls to the windows API - there is an example in this forum with a few inside llb and I gained an understanding about how parameters are passed between calls, but none to those who understand the 'hProcess' handle which is apparently necessary for this specific work winAPI call - everyone in this forum with the knowledge on how to get the handle of a VI, if possible, and could provide an example VI for me to use - or better yet, someone with knowledge of the procedure to follow in LV it self?

    Your help is highly appreciated

    Best regards

    Jacob
