Memory used by the Windows executable jar file

I wrote a java program that locates my position of mouse pointer, and then it moves on the screen using the Robot class. I created a file executable (executable) jar of this java single file and executed. Then I went to Task Manager processes list and saw that the exe is 11MB, which seems pretty huge for me. Anyone know why its occupying 11 MB of memory? And is it normal to occupy this physical memory much?

Only 11MB? What is your problem? In order to execute a jar file, the JAVA virtual machine must be loaded into memory, so this 11 is actually JVM + your jar file, as well as all resources used.

  • Deploy on executable jar file

    Hi all.

    I have a special need to deploy an application into an executable jar file (so it could be run as java-jar xxxxxx.jar). It is an app of the ADF, and there just the model layer. It has a main method that works perfectly inside the JDeveloper runtime.

    I use ADF components (entity objects, see objects, Application Module, etc.).

    I tried to deploy it in a jar file and libraries has added to its deployment profile. When I try to run it, I always get:

    Exception in thread "main" oracle.jbo.JboException: Houston-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.ConfigException, msg = Houston-33003: the MyConnection_Dep login name is not defined.

    MyConnection_Dep is the login used in JDeveloper and defined in the Module of the Application, but it looks like the data connection are not deployed.

    Which can be missing? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    In fact, it worked today. I used

    public class amConnection implements {EnvInfoProvider}

    public Object getInfo (String string, object environment) {}

    EnvHashtable Hashtable = (Hashtable) environment;

    envHashtable.put (Configuration.DB_USERNAME_PROPERTY, "username");

    envHashtable.put (Configuration.DB_PASSWORD_PROPERTY, "password");

    envHashtable.put (Configuration.DB_CONNECT_STRING_PROPERTY, "jdbc:oracle:thin:@myserver.domain.com:1521:xxx");

    Returns a null value.

    }

    All required jars are packed. It works very well.

    Thanks anyway

  • Work around the window "save PDF file under ' registration

    In Adobe Acrobat Professional 10, is there a way to bypass the window "save PDF file under ' and have just the file save as the same file name or a different file name?  Then once I select 'Adobe PDF' printer and click Print, I would like that the file just to save in the same directory, in that it is.  I don't care if it overwrites the existing file or creates a new file.

    The Ride: I'm using the portfolio feature, then using the configuration of the printer for each file to reduce by 20%.  Using the print to pdf feature, I'm resave files reduced.  2000 files in the portfolio, and I don't want to see this Save As pop-up 2000 times.

    In the printer preferences, cut request file name.

  • A lot of memory used after the repair Installation of Windows XP

    I recently put a new motherboard in my computer and it took that I re - install Windows XP.  I managed to re - install Windows XP with my previous settings still intact, but I noticed that he had a lot of memory used (~ 20 GB) which has not been used before the installation of my new motherboard.  I checked all the files that I had in 'My Computer', and the total memory was not adding up to what was planned to be used.

    During the Windows XP installation process, I chose the option to repair an existing Windows XP, in the hope that it would recover my previous settings.  I could continue until the activation of the installation part and had trouble with it; but was soon fixed.  I thought that if I continued to repair the existing Windows XP that it would remedy the activation part I had problems.  So all I can assume is that additional memory that has been used is from several times, I fixed my existing operating system due to the multiple copies of the same files that were used to repair.
    I contemplated I should save my computer, delete the partition, reformat the hard drive and install a fresh Windows XP or find a way to delete the files that take up a lot of place and who fail to find.  With the first option, I'd still have these files 'Phantom' on my backup, which in turn would be always present when I restore my backup the freshly installed Windows XP.
    I would like to know if I'm near a possible remedy to this situation, or y at - it another option I don't see who could solve this problem?

  • The package PowerCLI script in the Windows executable file / install

    What are the options for packaging / embed PowerCLI script in Windows. EXE file? I would like for several departments to be able to run and collect information from the script without having direct access to the code. This would ensure that the code has been correctly run without modification.

    I know that PowerCLI will be available on these systems, searching for the PowerCLI is not necessary.

    I read that the Primal Script has this ability, but I want a solution that is free and easy to use, if possible.

    If it is not an executable file, maybe even a file coded which makes it difficult for a layman to make changes.

    Thanks in advance for the help!

    I used a similar function of Johan Akerstrom in the past (since I don't have the community installed Extensions).

    See his post Powershell script to generate an executable from a powershell script .

    For this one, I know there is no problem with parameter passing.

    Take this example script

    param(
    [parameter(Mandatory = $true)][string[]]$server)

    [void][system.reflection.assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("System.Windows.Forms")
    Add-PSSnapin -Name VMware.VimAutomation.Core

    Connect-VIServer -Server $server[windows.forms.messagebox]::Show("Connected to " + $defaultViServer.Name)
    $VM = Get-VM[windows.forms.messagebox]::Show("I counted " + $VM.Count + " guests")

    Disconnect-VIServer -Confirm:$false

    Note that the script uses Windows Forms to the output data.

    You create the EXE file as follows. I recorded the example script under DoExeTest.ps1

    PS C:\Scripts >.\DoExeTest.ps1 new-PSExecutable
    Script source file: C:\Scripts\DoExeTest.ps1
    Output executable: C:\Scripts\doexetest.exe

    And when you run this, it displays 2 message boxes, one with the name of the vCenter and the other with the number of guests, the script is located in the vCenter.

    C:\Scripts>doexetest.exe 'Site '.

  • Cannot reduce the width of the window of Bluetooth File Exchange

    The width of the window of the Bluetooth File Exchange application can not narrowed, has increased. How can I reduce the width of the window or reset default window width?

    I use the Bluetooth File Exchange to browse files on a device (in my case, a Windows laptop). The application works normally, but I can't reduce the width of the window. The resizing handles only the increase in bandwidth. The height can be increased or decreased as you would expect.

    This image shows the width handles can only increase the width. Now, after playing with resizing, the window is wider than my iMac 27 "screen. I see no way to reduce the width of the window. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Wow, good question...

  • I can't get the XP computer recognize the Windows 7 network file share more wireless

    Problem file/network sharing wireless with a professional system XP and Windows 7

    I have 2 computers - 1 with XP and Windows 7 pro upgrade and use a secure wireless network...  I have set up my network on the new computer and can see the files on my new XP computer, but I can't get the XP computer to recognize Windows 7 one.  What should I do?

    Hi Captive,

    Method 1:

    I suggest you to check if temporarily uninstall the antivirus software on the computer Windows XP allows you to connect properly.

    But don't forget to install the software after troubleshooting is done such that your computer will be at risk.

    Method 2:
    You can also check the settings of firewall on the windows XP computer. You can check if the ports are opened correctly for the network to connect. See the help link - below
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/283673

    Method 3:
    If the problem persists, you can even perform the clean boot on the Windows XP computer and check if you can identify the application that is causing problems in the clean boot state. To perform the clean boot follow step 1, mentioned in the article, below, and then try again checking in this state of boot -

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

    If the issue is resolved check what non-Microsoft service or program is at the origin of the problem. referring to article and following the other steps.
    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps.
