Menu "BOLD" of blackBerry Smartphones changes back to default after changing the battery, but changes back when original battery in

I wanted some advice about batteries for my Blackberry "BOLD". I bought what was believed be an OEM battery so I had a back up when the original battery ran low on the ground outside, etc. But when I turned off the phone and remove the original OEM battery and place my purchase new battery in the phone, the menu has changed the appearance of the default menu and with no icons email I normally 5. The phone works fine, but the email icons disappeared now. If I replace the 2nd battery with the original OEM battery, he then returned to my menu customized with all the messaging icons in the menu.  Can someone please help with this problem. Is this happening because the 2nd battery purchased well stated as an OEM does not have the secure chip and alleged encryption that is used by the "BOLD" BB Phone to ensure that you are using an authentic product OEM Blackberry? Should I just buy the battery via Blackberry at full price or can I get the other distributors who claim to sell the correct OEM battery with the chip but at 1/2 to 2/3 of the price.  Or all the compatible batteries should operate independently without changing my settings and I may encounter an error with my phone, or is there an option that can be turned off in the phone to stop the resets.

Thank you

Hello

I can't guarantee that the use of the OEM battery will fix the problem.

I have no experience with Mugen batteries, so I can't help with that.

I don't think that a battery of expensive means better. Specifications only.

I buy my OEM batteries with the carrier that sold me the unit.

It might cost a little more, but peace of mind and no warranty problem

are worth it.

I think there is a very good reason that RIM makes batteries,.

and I am not prepared to find out why!

  • My "BOLD" of blackBerry Smartphones is turned off as soon as the loading page less reaches the quarter

Hello, I woke up this morning and my phone was working fine. I am back asleep and woke up it was off and everytime I try to turn it on I see the red light and then it starts to load until it reaches the quarter or even less, and it shuts off and restarts with the red light and the loading page... etc. What should I do? I mean my phones not died and I bought a new battery for it, so the problem is not the battery

If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, or constantly restarts, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones recent problem of fast draining of the battery

I used my Bold 9700 every day since I got it in November.  I usually load all night 2nd or 3rd with the wall charger while I sleep and have been very happy with the battery life.  While two days ago in my office, I noticed that the battery is very low, so I used the USB cable for charging.  It seemed to work, but the charge did not seem to last because it was to be loaded the next day.  I wrote chalked it up to the possibility that it didn't load completely from the USB connection, so I plugged it in the wall charger last night as I usually do.  This morning it was fully charged, although I noticed that it was a little warmer than usual.  Now, 6 hours later, with almost no use, the unit is completely dead!  At first I thought it was out, but I plugged it in just to find the boot of the device upward once the power supply has been provided.  I checked the status of the device and he says he has 2% of the power.  No one knows what took place or give me any advice for the things I can check?  Thanks in advance to all.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Looks like you have a running application that consumes resources. Left to themselves, apps will do it. It is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how works only once to pull the battery? (This is a serious question)

    Hi guys,.

I can't help but feel incompetent when I can't remove the battery from my camera. I maybe just strong fingers, but not for the life of me, I couldn't remove the back panel of my 9700 when I have to reset my camera (I develop a GPS app and had to see the consistency of the time it takes to get the first stand-alone fix). Fortunately, I don't need to remove the battery very often, but I wish I could. Is there a good way to remove the said sign without damaging the unit?

I deleted just 'error 102 JVM"my storm and now the keyboard is not displayed. I tried popping the battery while it is on, I also tried to attribute the convenince key to display the virtual keyboard and it does not work.

I forgot to write the file I had to remove from the event log (to clear the error).

    Any suggestions?

lol, he likes to go to the doctor and saying "doctor!" I'm hurt! "But I don't remember where!

    You have two choices:

Do not forget the name of the file and place the file using this process.

Reinstall your operating system to your BlackBerry.

See the link below to download it, and here is the simple installation instructions.

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • BlackBerry smartphones restore contacts BBM BB7 after using the BB10

After testing a device BB10 (hot stuff!), I am now switching to my old camera BB7 (Bold 9900). I activated my Blackberry ID on the original device, but my BBM contacts are not restored.

It's the same BB9900 that I used before, so all existing contacts are there, however, if I have messages one contact, I get the error message: "X is you as a contact. You want to re - invite X? »

Thus, it has no restore option in the Options menu.

How can I restore my BBM contacts on my older BB7 device?

    Thank you!

When switch it on my BB7, I was prompted for my Blackberry ID quickly, but he was not invited to swap devices for some reason any. Subsequently, there is no option in BBM to restore my contacts list.

    Resolution:

I already had the latest BBM so I downloaded the latest beta version of BBM on the Blackberry beta Zone. I've been invited "this feature requires a Blackberry ID" for the voice of BBM, who then got to configure my Blackberry id I was then able to choose switching devices. Now, I have all my BBM contacts on my BB7.

Remove the battery again, leave a few minutes and try again. If it continues to not start, you may need to wipe and reload the operating system.

  • Schedule of blackBerry Smartphones: vs email calendar default device

I'm new to the Blackberry Pearl 8130.

I use Microsoft Outlook for my calendar. I have an email address to which I've implemented on the Blackberry. However, this email address doesn't have a calendar that are associated with (and I don't want it...). The calendar application has therefore all appointments under "Default device".

On the home screen, it shows not all appointments at all. However, when I go in the calendar app it shows all my appointments. I've selected the menu button, choose 'Select Calendar' and then choose "Default device" because the calendar is not associated with the email address.

When I go back to the home screen it still has nothing set appointments. I assume he's still associate the calendar with the email address. I do know that not everyone uses the calendar provided with e-mail addresses, right?

Also, when in the application calendar, after selecting "Default device", if I try to add an appointment he will add it to the calendar with the email address and not the "default device" calendar that I use with Outlook. If I need to open another post on this topic please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

OK, here's what you need to do...

    1. download ALL your calendar in Outlook information. Make sure your correct calendar.

    2. then, basically, you will remove ALL your calendar on the BlackBerry information according to the instructions I'll post below.

    3. then, you set the address you want to see your calendar 'default' by the statement in the post above.

Then, everything should be good. I have been facing the problem while you are now and had to do all this as well. Painless.

(ignore the words 'AddressBook' in these instructions for you, but it all works the same).

If you encounter errors in your calendar or address book on your BlackBerry and you want to delete the entire address book (or calendar) base on your BlackBerry, follow the instructions below. Make sure that you have a good copy of your calendar or Contacts, because this procedure will delete all the calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

    1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. Left pain is what happens to save on your device and the right is a list of the existing databases.

3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

    4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

    5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  • My "BOLD" 9000 blackBerry smartphones freeze when changing clock (calendar event or the clock itself)

    Hello

I have a small problem that appeared a few weeks ago (I completely reinstalled my newer OS (available), whenever I try to change the time of an event (calendar) or if I try to change the clock (i've got sometimes large difference between the actual time and the automatic), the phone freeze (I can hear the sound of 'click' of the trackball but nothing happen... I have to 'disable' and when it is to say "app error" something)) on the "clock" Module)

What is the problem? How to solve this problem?

Thanks to all those who can help you

Do you use the calendar on your device for appointments and others?

I saw a similar question like this from another user. When he cleared his calendar data, clock and alarm options began to work properly.

So I recommend a backup of the device and clear the calendar.

    Use Desktop Manager to save.

Then, in the Desktop Manager > device > data delete > delete the Calendar database and complete the guests. When you are finished, remove the BlackBerry from the USB and try to use the clock in the way in which he hang himself before.

    A little luck?

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not do default MENU full "BOLD"

I want to have more than 6 icons on the main screen.  I'd rather see 18 icons as you see when you click on the menu button.

    I go to the Options.

    Then screen/keyboard.

Then scroll down and see the Menu Style.

Menu Style can be 'Short Menu' or «Full Menu»

Any menu I chose, I get only 6 icons on the main screen.

    Is this a bug?

No one can figure how to get rid of this quick menu screen?

    Thank you

You place the ALX/COD files on your PC and don't forget where you put them.

You open Desktop Manager > Application Loader and use Add button to locate the ALX/COD files. Search the ALX file and click on it and follow the prompts from there...

    Hello IFYCHUKWUNEKE

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

You must perform an erasure of security on one of the device and use a new ID of full BlackBerry on this particular device. It will allow you to use these two as different. So, first make a backup of your device in which you will complete these step and then follow this KB and use a new BlackBerryID:
