• Missing contextual menu key X 1 German keyboard?

  I recently bought the X 1 with a German keyboard.

  The manual indicates the keyboard has a touch of context menu but is "Druck" on what is 'Print' in English and this key is indeed something else.

  Where is the context menu key? Or I can it remap somehow? Or did I just miss something?

• How to catch the long menu key?

  I have a background application that launches a window of the screen only and I need to be able to listen/catch long menu key press the application to switch to this meal bar. In fact, if the user launches the application switch my screen bar somehow needs to know so he can close. How do I do that? A UIApllication can simply listen to deactivate() calls but screen can do that. I've already implemented KeyListener, but the long press event is not caught it.

  Update:

  Hmmm... She is one storm that has the feture to launch the switch application through a long press on the menu button? Doen't work on Curve 8900.

  I can still catch the application change event in a window of the screen, anyone know how?

  KeyListerners keyRepeat() seems to intercept the key event in the application that starts the screen.

  Problem seems to be resolved then.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, thinking... what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

• How do layer expression text selectors are on the character value?

  I'm banging my head against my desk here.  All the other attributes that I try to animate using selectors expressions works by multiplying the value returned by the selector of the value of the property in question.  But I can't make heads or tails of what made a selector expressions to the character value or Offset of character properties.

  Someone had a bit of luck with these?

  I just try to transcribe the characters of a text in another layer using the expression:

  MT = thisComp.layer("Master Text").text.sourceText;
  if(textIndex < MT.length) MT.charCodeAt(textIndex) else 32
  
  

  I put my character value to 1, and the property of quantity defined on [100,100,100] value out of my expression of thought on the left would be multiplied by 1.  The results I get are rather absurd.  Is there something obvious that I'm missing?

  It is difficult to wrap it around your head. Try this. Create a new text layer containing the string "246".

  Add an animator for the character value and set the value property of character to 56 (decimal ASCII for '8'). All figures should move to 8.

  Add a selector expressions and delete the range selector.

  Remove (or comment out) the default expression in the Amount parameter and replace it with this:

  0

  You should be in the original string, because the expression is say AE to go from 0% to the path of each character ('2', '4' and '6') to the nature of the target ('8').

  Change the expression from 0 to 50. Now, each character must be at half way of the original of '8', resulting in the string "567".

  Replace the expression by 100, and that you expect, each character is transformed to 100% of the way in which the nature of the target, causing "888".

• Android Firefox beta (17) crashes when I press the menu key.

  Hi - I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this issue, that I had with Firefox Android?

  Whenever I press the "menu" button on my phone when running FF (tried with 16 and beta/17), the application crashes immediately. Briefly, I see my Android homescreen, then the page FF asking me to submit a Mozilla crash report. I did, of course, and one of the links is attached.

  I'm a little surprised that I couldn't find any mention on the interwebs on this problem. Maybe can someone let me know what happens?

  You probably have a Meizu-brand phone...

  The problem is that Meizu has changed android.policy.odex the wrong way with value null-dereference error in there...

• Menu key FN bar does not appear on Satellite R

  PROB-1: I bought this tour before 4 months... All of a sudden my FN key does not work... that is, if I press the FN key menu bar not POP OUT, but if I touch FN and press F7 or F6, the brightness of the screen changes.
  I got this in Saudi Arabia, the key Board also have Arabic fonts (which I really don't want to).

  PROB-2: if I want to type "@", I have to Shift + tap on ""rather than"" Shift + 2 ".

  Problem 1:
  The FN key line that appears at the top of the screen is Support of Flash Card Utility controller.
  Select all programs-> Toshiba-> Flash cards and restart the software.
  If this does not work, reinstall this tool.

  Prob2:
  I guess you the keyboard language setting does not match the keyboard layout.
  Just change the keyboard language setting.
  I guess you have to change it in English (United States)

• Question about menu keys FN on Vista

  I installed Windows Vista and all Toshiba drivers and utilities and everything worked very well. Then after a while the FN menu appearing at the top of the screen is no longer there and the FN keys do not work.

  I have uninstall and reinstalled everything but the same problem still exists. I was wondering if anyone has any idea.

  I agree with Malditazo. I installed Vista several times on the same model of laptop and everything worked fine. When it is idle this FN menu is hidden, but a little more visible when you look at the top of the screen. You see nothing?

  I also noticed that you have to wait about 2 or 3 seconds before that this menu will appear.

• Update on down key array value

  I have an array of clusters.  Each group has two digital controls.  One shows a value in decimal, the other displays the same value in hexadecimal.  I would like the user to enter values in decimal or hexadecimal numerical order and have the update from another field while the user types.

  I can create a key down event for the table. What I don't understand, is how to get the CtlRef to know which cluster in the table, then what specific control has changed.

  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  It would be easier if you have a control that displays the value in two different formats, what you can do. For a full review of I32:

  1. Right-click on the control and select 'Format & precision '.
  2. In the window select the option "Advanced editing mode".
  3. In the text box "Format string" replace the text with the following text:
     1. %d
     2. Press SHIFT-ENTER on your keyboard
     3. 0 x % 08 x (meaning to precede the characters "0 x" to indicate the hex and format 8-digit by prefixing those unused with zeros)

  Now, the control displays two lines. The Summit will be decimal, the background will be hexagonal. The user can enter the value regardless of the way they want to.

  Hmmm... Maybe Darren should turn this into a little nugget.

  I develop only a game and I need to detect when you press the BlackBerry menu button, so I can to pause the game. I don't want add that any new options in the menu, just pause the game when clicked. I found a lot of references using UIApplication and other things. But I use MIDLet and GameCanvas, I use a library of the rim.

  Anyone knows how I can detect when this button is pressed? Because this key is not evoke the keyPressed GameCanvas method.

  How can I do! Is there a library of RIM specific one that I can import and spread something so I can detect this key?

• BlackBerry smartphones change my Menu keys

  OK, so I'm new to all this, when I touch my menu it goes to instead of my menu shortcut keys.  If I touch my touch phone it gives my address book instead of phone... For example when I open an image and press the menu button, it gives me shortcuts for the internet address or book or cards. What I changed and how I change it back... Please

  I had a similar problem - when I clicked the menu button on the shortcut bar would popup and cover options of the menu. Somewhere on the forum that someone suggested the rate adjustment of keyboard tap (which makes more) that did the trick for me. Good luck.
