    You will need either a subscription to the pack PDF to merge the files, then export to Word or you would need Adobe Acrobat (should not be confused with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader which can not do).

  • Merge several video files into one (fastest option)

    Hello everyone.

    I was wondering if there is an easy way to join several video files using a first/Media Encoder (or another tool?)

    I mean other than import in a project, by adding them all in a timeline and making everything again.

    "Why not do just that? ... you ask.

    The thing is - it's a delay of 24 hours. Yes that's right - this is a project where something was filmed for 24 hours. And there are 6 clips STROKE (every 4 hours) which should be combined into one

    This makes it all... it takes 5 solid hours even on my MacPro.

    Any ideas?

    All the best.

  • IDCS6 MACOSX JS: data merge multiple txt files one after the other

    Hello everyone.

    I have a situation where I have to data merge multiple text files to a single file indesign real "base". Databases formats are the same, the point of difference is a code in the second field of the database that refers to a postal box (not a zip/postal code, a code of 'distribution center' that has possibilities of 56 or greater). I would prefer data merge a file and then somehow split the PDF via Acrobat, but the length of postal areas resulting is incompatible and something that cannot be done if the document "split" feature in acrobat.

    The database starts as one massive file but using a one line code, can be divided into postal areas in separate text files.

    My last question: is it possible data merge several files at the same time (for example one after the other) and to give them their names based on the names of the input text file?

    OLE Kvern had a script to merge the data to a file without the user interface. I changed the last line slightly so that it generates a PDF file based on [high quality]:

    if(app.documents.length != 0){
            var myDocument = app.activeDocument;
            app.dataMergeOptions.removeBlankLines = true;
            //Select a source file.
            var myDataFile = File.openDialog("Select a data file")
            var exported = "file location(redacted for the sake of this post)"
            if(myDataFile != ""){
                    myDocument.dataMergeProperties.selectDataSource(myDataFile,);
                    myDocument.dataMergeProperties.exportFile(exported,"[High Quality Print]",);
            }

    }

    I guess that the answer has to do with the variable "myDataFile" and rather than just being open a dialog box, it could be somehow by selecting a table of text files, but it is where I am out of my depth.

    Ideas or thoughts which may not involve trying to do both the many mergers, but can somehow revolve around a great fusion of PDF?

    Thank you very much

    Colin

    Since writing my last response, I realized there was a better answer. It is a scenario of Peter Kahrel and a modified version of a script by Olav Kvern. Details can be found here: batch of merge data | Adobe Community

    I have since made other mods to the script is easier to understand:

    if(app.documents.length != 0){
    // make sure to use the document that is open
            var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
    // get the name of the document that is open for future naming purposes
            var myName = myDoc.name
    // get the location of the folder that contains both the indesign files and the text files
            var myLocation = "FULL PATH LOCATION OF FOLDER CONTAINING TEXT FILE AND DESTINATION FOR FINAL PDFS"
    // define the names of the data files to use based upon the names of the indesign files
            var myImport = myLocation + myName + ".txt"
    // define the names of the data merged PDFs to be created
            var myExport = myLocation + myName + ".pdf"
    // the actual engine for the merge, including DM instructions such as remove blank lines, object fitting etc.
            var myDataFile = myImport
            app.dataMergeOptions.removeBlankLines = true;
            if(myDataFile != ""){
                    myDoc.dataMergeProperties.selectDataSource(myDataFile,);
                    myDoc.dataMergeProperties.exportFile(myExport, "[PDF/X-1a:2001]", );
            }

    }

    If this script will automatically merge a file which is open as LONG as the data file is the same name as the indesign file with .txt at the end for example

    Woodward.indd (indesign file)

    Woodward.indd.txt (used for merging text file)

    This script does still not the original memory and who was using an indesign document, to browse for many text files and merging of PDF based on text files.

    HOWEVER, I am sure that the answer to that is based only on the use of the script above (no need to Peter batch convert script) and changing the line 9 to be a loop for... but again, this is where I come to a grinding halt. Any help would be appreciated.

  • EchoSign can merge the data to a spreadsheet to send several contracts?

    I have a spreadsheet with several companies in it, how do I get EchoSign to read that data and send each a contract?

    Hello

    You can use a CSV file to import your e-mail addresses of the recipients and merge custom data in fields on the document for each recipient. This is known as the Megasign function.

  • Data merge - several documents in 1 Page

    OK, I searched the forum for this issue. There are always similar responses, but my problem is unique.

    • I'm doing an invoice that shows how many services they bought, how much are these services and how much they have.
    • I exported a CSV of 1,500 customers in a separate program.

    The issue is that the. CSV file sorts each service on a different line.

    FOR EXAMPLE

    A                   B                    C               D          E          F

    1 1 John Smith 12345 Street City State of a $100.00 service

    2 service 2 John Smith 12345 Street City State $25.00

    3 service 3 John Smith 12345 Street City State $ 50.00

    4 service 4 John Smith 12345 Street City State $ 75.00

    5 service state of city street Jack Brown 12345 $1 100.00

    6 service 2 Jack Brown 12345 Street City State $25.00

    7 service 1 Mary Johnson 12345 Street City State $ 50.00

    8 1 Nick Stewart 12345 Street City State $ 75.00 service

    (just colors indicate different customers)

    Rows 1 to 4 must be on a single page, 5-6 on the next page and so on. Is there a way to filter in order to enter the order of similar files on the same page? All lines containing "John Smith" would be filtered in the sequence on the same page.  Does anyone know how to do this?

    You must change the way that your reports are generated. ID lacks the sophistication to merge the data to do so. You want all the data related to each customer in one record and release a record per page.

  • Need help to organize Excel files with several data

    Hello everyone!

    I'm working on a project consisting of a full acquisition system. I have great finisheda part of my program and now my guardian's ask me something else.

    In you project I have several datas: Move, force, speed, time,...

    And he would like that this data in the same Excel file with a predefined order. In the example: column 1: time, column 2: speed, etc.

    I already tried to work with the block 'write on a file of measure' and associate a different signal through a simulation, and it works. The first signal is the left column. The second signal is the second column. So it's ok about this. But when I try to link a VI unlike a simulation, that the file does not work. Even if I use the data of 3 or 4, I only had a column with some strange results.

    That's why I ask your help. I would like to know if you have a good way to solve this problem I want to clarify that I am a beginner in LabVIEW.

    I join my project in order to help you understand. I hope I was clear enough

    Kind regards.

    ML

    PS: Sorry for my English, I know that I'm not very good like that!

    Thank you for your project, including - it shows me that you are using LabVIEW 2015, which means that you have the Report Generation Toolkit, with the ability to easily generate Excel "Reports", available.

    If you really want to generate Excel (.xls, .xlsx) files, the GTA is, by far, the best way to do.  If you go to the search bar in the Forums of LabVIEW and type "Example revised" - the first 'hit' should be a post of two years of mine where I show how to use the GTA to more or less do what you described.  Give it a try with some of your data, and come back if you have any other questions.

  • Is it possible to link to the .doc files as I would image help to merge the data from the files?

    I'm trying to find a way where I can link to multiple documents in a master document. I know how to put Word/Excel files in InDesign-related, but is there a way I could build a document using data merge? I guess I want a link to every document in my CSV, possibly with a @ column header. Has anyone tried this before with any success?

    I have trouble understanding exactly what it is you want to try and do.

    Regarding the data merge, the answer is no. When a header field which has a "@" before the domain name, InDesign data merge function will import images that are people like .jpg, .tif, .eps .gif .pdf .png .ai; but will not import content such as .docx .doc .rtf or .txt. It is worth noting the help that Adobe (InDesign help |) Data merge) does not list what types of images will import as part of a data merge. Another additional note - if import a PDF or AI is many pages long as part of the merger of data, the merger will take only the first page of the PDF / I, and it is not a way to make the merger import a different page.

    If you want to import a large number of word files in an InDesign file all at once in the same block of text, I wrote a piece about it on InDesignSecrets: http://indesignsecrets.com/place-word-files-one-frame.php

  • A loop of several data files and save in respect of each

    Here's what I'm trying to do, I have a file, Indesign CS5.5 basis, which we'll call the master file.  I have several data files of text delimited by tabs that contain a column engines and ReplaceWith.  I have the script so that I can take 1 text file and it goes through the InDesign file and made all the changes based on the text file.  What I need for the script to be able to do, is instead of asking the 1 text file:

    1. it prompts for a folder that contains all my text files

    2 begins by the first text file and not the FindReplace I already work based out of the main file in Indesign.

    3. Once finished the first text file, make a backup - from the Indesign file updated with any changes.

    4 file Indesign Master returns to the original state, less the changes is ready for the next text file.

    5. move the following text file and bounce the find/replace on the original master Indesign file.

    And then basically the steps 3-5 in loop until all text files have been processed.

    As I said, I did the process for one file at a time, I just need to make sure it can browse a lot of them without someone needing to keep this.

    Thank you!

    Something to help you get started:

    var inputFolderPath = "/path/to/folder",
        outputFolderPath = "/path/to/other/folder",
        templatePath = "/path/to/template.indd",
        inputFolder = new Folder(folderPath),
        outputFolder = new Folder(outputFolderPath),
        template = new File(tempatePath),
        files = inputFolder.getFiles(),
        file, fileString, doc, idName, i, l;

    outputFolder.create();
    for (i = 0, l = files.length; i < l; i++) {
        file = file.open('r');
        idName = file.displayName.replace(/\.[^\/.]+$/, '') + ".indd";
        fileString = file.read();
        file.close();
        doc = app.open(template);
        doYourStuff(doc, fileString);
        doc.save(outputFolder + "/" + idName);
        doc.close();
    }

    It would be files InDesign versioned the same name as the input text file but with the extension ".indd". You may need to consider to filter files in the getFiles() call, if you have files in your input file types, you do not want to deal with. It is clearer to all re - open the file of model on the disk, rather than come back and which is the same.

  • Out of merge records data problems

    I tried all kinds of things to get this data fusion to work correctly, after reading several discussions on an excerpt from bugs, setting up a new document...

    I created the 1.75 x 7.5 "labels, 5 upwards on a sheet. It is ID CC 9.1 on a Mac with 10.9.

    I finally got close after several tries, but you will see in the picture that it is not only the merger on a page, but also merge to the wide on the side and under the page. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

    OK, got your file. If you group the fileds with image data, so everything is in a group, it should work (I get some frames in excess, however).

    I don't know why it goes well. From my experience, when your placeholders are a failure in the content with any other group you want to duplicate on the master as you should keep only the content to reproduce, so I would have expected a single image and a lot of addresses, per page. Maybe it's a bug in the CC, but since this is the first merger of data, I tried in this version, I am not prepared to say that's for sure.
