Message indicator new blackBerry Smartphones

Hi, just got my new blackberry "BOLD", but after receiving a load of emails, I have a new email "1" symbol at the top.

I can't find the new email however, I searched records including browser and wap, messages also looked for unread emails but still nothing?  Where could else be?  It's REALLY annoying me!

Thank you

David

Hello

Which is usually followed by the battery pull, but try this first.

Click on the BB GO/OPTIONS/SECURITY to enter go to the firewall.

Click on, and then press menu. Select reset all counts.

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected, thanks

  • Messages/emails new blackBerry smartphones are not displayed and no Vibration Notification

Hey guys, I'm new to blackberry. I bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 yesterday, and I'm having some problems with it.

    Problem 1:

New messages will not be displayed, I have to go into general messages and select "View folder" > «Inbox SMS»

I put it to handset simply because I want to just that all my messages in the folder main message, but whenever a new message arrives I have to go to the SMS Inbox folder.

    Problem 2:

I have the same problem with my email, I get to a new email notification, but it is no - where.

    Problem 3:

I put my blackberry to the vibrate profile, the only time where it seems to vibrate when I get a new notification from facebook and that's it.

    Please help, thanks

I did a hard cancel and the problem seems to have I think with messages.

Not too sure on the vibration, just wait someone texts me I guess xD

  • Message icon new blackBerry Smartphones don't disappear

    Hey everybody!

I got two Blackberry, but I am new to the community.  I swapped my Pearl for the Curve 8330 a couple of days.  The new message icon is displayed permanently.  It started with three, then four, and now six.  I have read several forums and tried to pull my battery several times.  I even deleted my email account and set up again.  I went through all my files to see if there's a message hidden somewhere.  I can't find something.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Apart from doing a factory restore and/or call Verizon does anyone have suggestions on how I can reset the counter?  Moreover, my career is Verizon!

Thank you in advance for your help!

I took my phone to Verizon today and felt really stupid when the man made the icon disappears.  On older versions of the Blackberry phones, like the Pearl I had, if you had a missed call and click on the button send, he allowed the missed call.  Since it's updated software, you must actually click on the missed call to erase it.  Since then, I changed the settings of call logging not appears in my messages.  So I hope it helps someone else who was having the same problem as me!

  • Message icon new blackBerry Smartphones won't go away

My new message notification icon says I have 2 new messages and will not disappear. I checked all my boxes e-mail and sms and mms and even deleted all messages. I rebooted the unit several times and it will still not go away. anyone has a solution or have had this problem. It's driving me crazy. Thank you

Have you tried the search function? It features rich functionality to search all unopened messages really everywhere... Be sure to set the Service to "All Services" and see the 'unopened only' and Type 'all '. Who must go through all messaging services and find all the messages unopened... which is what must be activate this unread icon.

  • BlackBerry Message indicator new Smartphones.

OK, this is driving me crazy! I just installed the visual voicemail, and everything works fine.

When I get emails I get red star with new message indicator on the icon of the respective e-mail account as well as on the icon General messages on the home screen which is normal, BUT when I go into the icon of e-mail account and read new emails and then go back to the home screen, I still have a new red message flag star on the General messages icon!

How can I get the star go away once I go in messages?

The star disappears once you open the messages folder. I agree that you should not do this, however.

Now that you have mentioned, I am happier with my BB.

  • Status indicator for blackBerry Smartphones - yellow smiley face with an eye on a red star unknown

I have a Blackberry 8800. A new indicator of home screen status appeared just below the 'Envelope' yellow indicator that tells me I have how many new messages.

It is a yellow smiley face with a red star on one of his eyes. As the new message indicator it has a number beside it shows i've got 1 something but I have no idea what this means and 8800 textbooks do not mention it.

Help would be appreciated - any clues anyone?

Proabably a BlackBerry Messenger contact or message or even a message to yahoo if you have loaded on your device.

  • Message icon missing blackBerry Smartphones

I have the blackberry curve 8520 and the icon envelope message from the homepage has disappeared. I always get new warning messages, but there is no envelope icon to navigate when you switch on the phone. Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Hide you? Try to activate "Show all" to see.

Did you move it? Try searching all the folders (for example, Applications, downloads, etc.) to see. Make sure you have "Show all" active there as well.

Have you installed a new theme? Those who can hide things away.

If all those who fail, then I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Message from yahoo blackBerry Smartphones Incorrect password

I get a message on my blackberry that my yahoo password is incorrect and I want to upgrade now. When I click on Yes and update it makes no difference. At the same time, I continue to receive e-mail messages that there was a sign in the attempt of an unknown source, which I suppose is my blackberry.

I removed the hub app and reinstalled without success. All ideas

Yahoo! recently admitted a data breach that occurred back in 2014. Thanks Yahoo for the notice in good time! They recently reset the passwords on multiple accounts. Have you tried to connect from an ordinary web browser and set a new password?

  • Messaging voice Visual blackBerry Smartphones "error incomplete xml".

I signed up for visual voicemail. It worked for about 4 hours.  So I knew that I had a voicemail, and he is not.  When I hit the menu to check the new voice mails he responsed with an error message indicating "incomplete xml would you like to call your mailbox? with a box to check the 'yes' or 'no' ' if I hit Yes it takes me to my voicemail and I can listen to the message, but it does not appear in my visual voicemail screen.  Verizon was no help and the rep "study" the problem. I tried to reinstall the program, but that did not help.  Anyone facing this problem?  Advice or tips would be appreciated.

I was finally able to get Verizon to provide a fix.  I had to call tech support to the 1-800-922-0204 and go through a couple of levels to reach someone who could find a solution.  I had to delete all voice messages in my Inbox and it had to rebuild or recreate a new voice mailbox for me.  Then I had to remove and reinstall the program of visual voicemail.  Then I had to create a new voicemail box.  He now works... We'll see for how long.

If maisl isn't here as stated above then you must erase your SMS database.

To clear the TEXT completely check following the steps:

    1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
    2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    3. Double-click on the backup and restore, and then click Advanced.
    4. In the list of device databases, select the appropriate database.  For your problem, select SMS.
    5. Click clear.
    6. In the warning window, click OK.

Don't forget to have if you erase your SMS as mentioned above, then all Messages will be lost and cannot be extracted unless you have a backup.

Hi @Jenny7733! Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

You will need to perform an erasure of security on the device first before you can connect with a new BlackBerry ID credentials Please see: How to delete all data and applications from the smart phone BlackBerry with the optio security wipe...

Don't forget to make a backup because it will erase all your data. Good luck!

  • New BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry

I bought a new blackberry curve 8520 in a few weeks and I still have my previous curve 8520. I want to set up the app on the new world and I want to try to get all the old information was transferred to the new. is this possible?

Yes it is possible to transfer all of your data, such as emails, contacts, applications, etc.

Everything you have to do is connect your old device during execution (bb desktop software) and then click the (peripheral) found in the upper left corner of the application and then click on change of terminal and follow the instructions.

It backs up all data from your previous device and you will be asked of the unplug it and connect a new one to restore all your data that is quite simple and even bbm contacts will be restored too .

BB software is available on your CD to the device, or you can get the blackberry a site shape more up-to-date.

If I helped you, like him.

  • Replacement of BB Phone new blackBerry Smartphones

I had some, but not a lot of Apps on my BB lost/stolen.  Can they be transferred to new BB but how?  Maybe it's too late or I activated my BB incorrectly.  Thanks Dave

    Hi Dave,.

Assuming that you bought your applications via App World, when you receive your new BlackBerry, you can just redownload the App World as long as you use the same ID BlackBerry to connect. Download again them, go to My World and then edit the list of applications to uninstalled. You will find then all your previously purchased/installed apps, available for redownload. If you bought them through a different service, like Mobihand, you will need to submit a request to change the PIN code, but once you do this, you can re-download them as well.

In addition, if you do not already made, make sure that you make your BlackBerry as lost/stolen Bell so that they can cancel the service, etc. from your old device.

    I hope this info helps!
