Message 'unexpected shutdown.

original title: need help!

My windows maintains have "unexpected stops."  What does that mean?  Is it my computer or the program?

There is no way for us to know from here because you have told us nothing about your computer or its recent history. Often when your computer just stops unexpectedly it is because it is overheating, so the first thing I would solve would be material:

http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot

If everything tests good and machine is not overheating, look in Event Viewer for clues:
Start > Search > eventvwr.msc [OK]

It is also important that the machine is free from virus/malware:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). If possible, have all your data backed up before taking the machine into a shop. If you want to continue to try to get aid in MS Answers, please provide information through these links:

  • Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. Windows can check online for a solution to the problem. Problem event name: bluescreen

Have had problems since 31/12/09.  Tech replaced Dell hard drive 14/01/10 because all software solutions did not resolve various problems, including the screen black and white letters indicating the mode without failure, or count down the regular opening.  System Restore has used several times, all software removed and replaced.  New Quickbooks reinstalled two times 10, it usually starts up quickly.  I was told not to turn it off, just let it run.  It automatically goes into sleep mode, it still does not start correctly.  Last message is that Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown;  Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.  Problem event name: bluescreen

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Launch auditor.  You need not run memtest again unless you want to.

If you are overclocking anything reset by default before running these tests.

This driver is too old and not Windows 7 compatible. Because there is no new driver unit (revA1 D-link wireless adapter DWA-130), change the energy saving features and disable them, so that the appliance is still running. This should fix it. If not, buy a Windos 7 compatible wireless adapter.

  • Unexpected shutdown of Windows (blue screen)

New installation of all-in-one Photosmart 6510 seemed to go fine (try USB first, since will have the ability to scan).  A page prints fine, but something about the synthesis immediately after (some final development communication, or maybe even the 'Rewards' popup?) causes the unexpected shutdown of Windows with the blue screen.  No further assistance was suggested by Windows.  No errors were detected by the doctor printer hp application that I downloaded.

    Hello

First - just for your information, you can also scan using the wireless connection.

If you have a new PC, maybe you have a USB 3.0 on this subject?

If so, be sure to plug the printer into the USB 2.0 port as the HP device does not support the connection USB3.

  • Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP that gives the message 'unexpected paper size ".

In recent months, when I print a set of envelopes, after EACH envelope my printer gives me a message "unexpected paper size".  This forces me to press the 'OK' button to continue to the next task.  After that, the printer goes into a long routine of 'cleaning up' before printing the next envelope.

The printer is behaving that way when it was new.  He started to do this only in the last few months.  If I print an envelope, between two printing on standard paper 8 1/2 "x 11" does not display the "unexpected paper size".

And by the way, what is the problem with HP, saying that the cat is not available for my product and support pages e-mail not recognizing my product number?  Just because a machine is a couple of years, HP is going to abandon me entirely to my own when it malfunctions?

    Fixed it myself.

I have restored the default settings, and the problem disappeared.  Press the "Setup" button, then choose "Service, Restore Defaults".

Unfortunately, these forums seem pretty useless.

Then he sometimes starts, sometimes dies again and sometimes again Rescue and Recovery.

Today, he's dead 5times. Before today, never. Yesterday, I worked normally, installed nothing, nothing deleted. I don't know why this is happening now so suddenly and so often and why?
