See below for my drive configuration:

I have the same problem, I partitioned my drive of bootcamp and something went wrong with the installation, now I can't access it. It's not even show in the utility disk or startup disk.

If this does not help, check your Recycle Bin, the bak files which are dbx files, you can restore backups.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

If this does not help, then you will probably need my program DBXpress (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/), which will extract the messages from individual dbx files, and if messages are no longer in the files, it can extract from the disc itself.

  • Cannot install Windows 8 on the replacement hard drive

I got the replacement from Dell hard drive which he said would come with Windows 8 and pre-installed drivers. Well, I installed the hard drive and he said no. OS can be found. I didn't have a chance to make my own backup discs, but Dell sent a CD Windows 8 recovery media with the laptop and now with the replacement hard drive.

When you try to install Windows 8 on the new hard drive, I get to the part where it tells me to choose a partition to install Windows 8 on and none of them will not let me. There are 5 to choose from and I don't know what to do to get past this. The largest partition either 5A about 934 GB of space left out of 1 TB, but as I said I can't choose it or one of the other ones for the installation.

You just have to click on next, in any case, despite the message?  Otherwise:

Start on the DVD of Windows 8, instead of install now, click repair your computer, Advanced Options, invites ... when it opens, type the following:

    DiskPart
    Select disk 0
    clean

    Then, try to install.

The above will remove all the data partition and disk, allowing you to do a clean install on an empty drive (these scores are not required, and Windows will create its own partitions (two) he needs to install and run).

  • How do I restore the partition hidden bootcamp

    Hello

I had the partition, bootcamp for windows 7 and I had restored the bootcamp. Bootcamp deleted the partition, but it could not restore the main HD storage size. How to restore the free space.

    Hello there, elixir_125.

Looks like you're wanting to reformat the hard drive on your MacBook to delete the Bootcamp partition. The following Knowledge Base article offers up how to do this:

How to reinstall OS X on your Mac

Wipe your drive and install OS X

Generally, you don't need to erase your startup disk to reinstall OS X. The OS X Installer is designed to allow you to perform an installation in place during the same version or earlier versions of Mac OS X. If you transfer your Mac to a new owner, you can clear your integrated boot disk before you reinstall OS X.

Important: Before you remove and reinstall, back up your important files. If you are using a MacBook, MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, make sure that the power adapter is connected and plugged all by performing the following steps.

You can use these measures to erase files on your startup drive and install a fresh copy of OS X:

    1. Before you begin, make sure that your Mac is connected to the Internet.
    2. Restart your Mac. Immediately hold down the command (⌘) keys and R after having heard the startup sound to boot into OS X Recovery.
    3. When the recovery window, select disk utility, then click on continue.
    4. Select the volume name back from your startup disk in the left side of the disk utility window, then click Delete.
    5. If you want to erase the disc safely, click Security Options. Select an erasing method, and then click OK.
    6. On the Format menu, choose Mac OS extended (journaled). Type a name for your drive, and then click clear.
    7. After that the drive is deleted, close the disk utility window.
    8. If you are not connected to the Internet, select a network in the Wi-Fi menu.
    9. Select the option to reinstall OS X.
    10. Click on continue and follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall OS X.

    Additional options

If you want to reinstall the version of Mac OS X included with your Mac, or if you have to reformat your entire startup disk, press Command + Option + R to start instead. This starts your Mac recovery of the Internet.

If you have more than one partition (like Boot Camp) and you want to delete the complete startup disk, you can use disk utility to remove the partitions or re-partition your hard drive. Start up your Mac in recovering from Internet, then use utility to repartition your boot disk drive until delete you it. Make sure that you back up important data from all partitions before repartitioning of a disc.

    See you soon.

  • HP ProBook 650 G1 L4A21UT #ABA: windows 10 update and restore the partition

I have recently updated from Win 7 to 10 to win. I'm assuming that the Win 7 recovery partition was intact. Is this a problem?

Also, when I restarted after the upgrade, accelerometerST.exe "not found."

I googled for it and found the link to 10 to win, but I was unable to download.

Should I just ignore the missing .exe?

    Kind regards

    @K8MP

Creating recovery media is something done before the partition is non-functional.

The 'Upgrade' comes with the ability to 'come back' to your operating system already installed.  There is a time limit: If you want to "go back", you must do so within the 30 (or 31) days from the date / time of the migration to Windows 10.

The 'go back' is a provided Windows mechanism - it seems that the method works (to restore the previous operating system / full environment) most of the time.  The 'go back' method does not work, you prefer should be prepared to install the operating system.

Now that you have your digital license of Windows 10 (also known as the 'right'), you can "go back" or reinstall Windows 10 at a later date.  Your license for Windows 10 "sticks", in other words, Microsoft a record or your license so you can return to / install Windows 10 on this same machine.

  • Restore the partition not used since upgrade hard drive

    Hello

Several months ago, I replaced my 80 GB HDD with a 250 GB hard drive.  I used Apricorn upgrade kit to clone the drive, which, in hindsight, may have been a mistake.  I noticed that since installing the new drive, partition RECOVERY (D:\) does not seem to be used at all.  None of the files or directories of the partition have been affected since the day the hard drive has been installed.  Windows indicates that the restore points have been created with success since that time; I guess they are created on the primary partition (C:\).  The D: partition is 30 GB, 15 GB free.  It seems to me that with the current state of things, I have 15-30 GB of hard disk space lost for this partition.  Is it possible for me to get Windows to start correctly using this partition again?  If not, can I safely to reduce its size or eliminate it?  I guess I could store all my data and use the factory restore CD, but I want to save this as a last option resort, because it would be tedious to reinstall also all other software I have installed on this computer.  If someone could point me to a solution or even help me to understand what is happening, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you.

  • Restore the partition from the Satellite Pro A200 recovery

    Hello

I accidentally deleted the 5 GB recovery partition on my Satellite Pro A200. I have since recovered (and the data inside) and tried to create my discs of recovery using the "Recovery Disc Creator', but it is to say that it cannot find the recovery partition :(

I tried fishing by the ini files for recovery disc creator find where he seeks the score, but could not find anything...

One thing I noticed is that now it is recovered, it appears as a NTFS fs (I think that before it was an unknown FS type?) and volume label "HDDRECOVERY".

Any ideas on how I can either:

    (a) wrong recovery tool by using the recovery partition
    (b) to make the score look exactly as it did before I deleted it, so I can use the tool as it is.

Would really appreciate any help - want to make these recovery disc for my vista ultimate before I go around whacking backtrack top :) and dicking

    your

    Frank

    Hello

    > accidentally deleted the recovery partition of 5 GB on my Satellite Pro A200. Since I got (and the data inside)
I wonder how you restored the deleted partition. Perhaps the recovery settings partition are not the same that before and, therefore, the "Recovery Disc Creator' doesn t work properly.

Unfortunately, I think you will not be able to fool the recovery tool, if the recovery partition cannot be found.
You can rename only the partition NTFS FS. This can be done in the disk management console.
But I don t think this will solve this problem.

It seems that you have to reinstall the whole OS using the CD of restoration of Toshiba or the original CD of Microsoft Vista

  • Help restore the backup catalog

    Hello

PSE made a mess on the dates of my video clips in the Organizer (who is the subject of another thread). Before you perform a full restore of my backup months old, I want to restore ONLY the catalog it (not the image files) and do coexist with my current messed up catalog. This way I can see if the problem is in the database or in files of video clips.

I would like to know what files I have to leave my set to my catalog restored backup to work. To prepare for this post, I looked at help | Info by the system to search for the location of the folder that contains the current catalog. Inside this folder there are some subfolers and some files as follows:

    Subfolders:

    breezeData

    CAXMPFiles

    Style

    SyncDB

    Files:

    backupCt.dat

    Catalog.pse8db

    collstatus.dat

    Thumb.5.cache

    Watch.2.cache

((1) which files I have to restore and 2) where should I place them so that the restored catalog works properly?

Because the restored catalog will have the same name as my current, how can I open it in the Organizer without deleting the current?

It seems that the catalog file is not the name of the catalog itself, as it was a few versions ago. For example, my catalogue is called "My catalog", but the database file is named "catalog.pse8db".

Remember I want to ONLY restore the catalog database; not the actual image files.

    Thank you for your help

The entire folder containing the "catalog.pse8db" represents the appropriate catalog.  The name of the folder gives the name of the catalog. You can restore this folder anywhere you want, but it can be convenient to restore in the same parent folder containing your current catalog file (help > System Info to find this place).

A shortcut that is convenient to open any catalog is double-click on "catalog.pse8db" of Windows Explorer.

If you are synchronizing with Photoshop.com, remember to turn off sync from the opening of the restored catalog.  Otherwise confusion might ensue.

  • Help restore the temporary files

I just restored my Dell Dimension 4700 to factory settings, but before I did, I used the file and Transfer Wizard to transfer all my files on an external hard drive up, but I don't know how to restore them now that I am up and running again.  They seem to be in Temp folders.  Any help ASAP would be certainly appreciated.

External hard drive LaCie and Genie Backup Software that comes with it is what the Temp files are on (at least this is what I think it is).  The files settings and Transfer Wizard helped me transfer my files before I restored my system to factory settings, but I do not see how to restore now.  Help

    Brooklyn Babe

    Babe from Brooklyn,
All you need to do is to run the transfer Assistant again, and when it starts it will ask if it's the new pc or old.  Say that it's new and then he will be asked where the files are located and you direct them to the reader.  NOW, I did this on a pc once and had a little problem with the service pack level.  The SP should be the same as on the old machine.  for example, I saved on SP2, and I tried to restore the SP3 and it wouldn't work.  I had to remove the SP3 and then restore. • Restore the partition table data

    Hello

    DB 10.2.0.1

I have a dump file in which exported the data from a table to a database. This table is based partioned. I have imported into the database B. I have truncated or tried successively to the partition of the table in database B now I want to import the data from the export dump file in the same table. I don't want to import the data again for all partitions. I want to just import only truncated how data I could do?

    Thank you

    Hello

Even I did as you say, but we give below error.

In fact, it is not an error message:

    Import completed successfully without warnings.

You have SQL code contained in the "dump":

    CREATE TABLE 'TRADING_TEST' ("BRAND_DESCRIPTION' VARCHAR2 (120)...)

For example, you may notice that importation will try to recreate the Table of TRADING_TEST with all its partitions. Of course, it will generate an error and you will not be able to import the data in the Partition. Unless you have just TRUNCATE and you use the parameter IGNORE = Y.

So, if you TRUNCATE the Partition you do not have to recreate.

If you DROP the Partition, it is best to recreate first (ALTER TABLE ADD PARTITION...).

Then import you the datas like that (I just add IGNORE and LOG settings):

    imp system/password file=C:\exportTable32\table.dmp FROMUSER=dev touser=system tables=(TRADING_TEST:A15) ignore=y log=C:\exportTable32\table.log

However, I hope that it is just for test purpose, because it is not recommended to create the user Tables in the SYSTEM.

    Hope this helps.
    Best regards
    Jean Valentine
