• Bug of STROKE Weird Illustrator containing decimal numbers

  Hello

  I m having this really weird in Illustrator bug when I try to change the size of the stroke to something with decimal numbers. When I have a call 1 pt or pt 2 it works as expected, but when I change it to something like 1.6 pt, the trait is uneven on the way. Some lines are thicker than others, and it's very weird.

  Can someone point me in the right direction? See my 30 sec video-screen for an overview of the bug.

• Script to work around bugs in Illustrator

  Newbee here, we work in Illustrator CS5.  I've gathered a few scripts and Actions for automating many parts of our work.

  I'll start with what we have now.  What we have now works on Mac and PC, and if there is a way around these BUGS, it should work on Mac & PC.

  (1) we have a .ai (our default format) file that we can open and inside the text fills in automatically when you start a script. (see Custom below script) Some text boxes fills in the date based on the current date on our computer, some areas of text fills a name based on the name of the electronic .ai file.

  One of the difficulties that I have worked on is, sometimes in one of the fields in the file, it must have a name composed of only 4 sections (or 3 dashes). In the example: ILSLIM = 1, = 2, TEST 3 = EXAMPLE & AA01 = 4.

  

  Thus, when it then produces the last indent in this area of text on our format (not all of the other text boxes) will need the 3rd indent removed (now it's only 3 sections because TESTAA01 has become a).

  

  So I created an 'Action' Illustrator who will be after the 'ChangeFileNameDate' script is executed, 'The Action' will select the text area and then run 'Search and replace' to remove the 3rd indent as seen above.

  NOW THE PROBLEMS!  (Illustrator bugs)

  (1) in Illustrator 'Actions' when you save an 'Action' & the 'Insert Menu Item... ". "lets put a Script, it will work.  BUT when you exit out of Illustrator & then start the custom Script again will disappear. I looked in this & it's a known bug for years in Illustrator which is still not fixed.

  SO the only work-around, I can get to work for now is to «Insert Menu Item»... ««Other script...» "& it will remain same after restarts, BUT whenever we run 'Action' we must manually select the script. (SHIT)

  MORE A BUG with the 'Find and replace' registration.  In case you don't know, when you save 'Actions' in Illustrator, you can; save one of the actions that require a dialog box; ((1) to-for either have the dialog go up then you can get everything you need in it or 2) you might NOT get dialog box up to & action will do whatever she had in her when she you recorded.  This feature is turned on or off by clicking on the box next to the check box on or off (see photo).

  

  The BUG is so, for my 'Actions' that use the "Find and replace" to remove the dashboard to work for some reason that I have to have the first "find and replace" stages of dialogue botton ON so that the "Find and replace" dialog box opens.

  Let me explain, when you register to use the "Find and replace" it works perfectly even with the dialog box option clicked but if you quit Illustrator and then restart it and try to launch "Actions" which have the "Find and replace" in them then Illustrator crash.  So the only work around that I found for this BUG DIPSHIT is simply having 1 'find and replace' in the 'Action' registered with the dialog box set to (to open when the Action is performed) and then must manually close it.  We owe nothing within this type.  He must simply open & close and then have it.  Then for some reason any the rest of 'Actions' recorded will run out with boxes of open dialogue with the removal of the 3rd dashboard as when I registered 1.

  So basically, if I want to 'Actions' to work at this point I must do this.  whenever I raise the Illustrator I would need to manually load the script custom 'Actions' and I would need to open and close the box "find and replace".  It's the whole issue of the 'Actions' CRAP & Scripts are so I can do everything MANUALLY, no..  We should be able to make it work for us!

  OR maybe that would be the best solution!

  
  

  If in the "ChangeFileNameDate" custom script, it could just open and then close the box "Find and replace" (which would solve the bat with "Find and replace" in 'actions') then the custom script could cause 'The Action' to play instead of 'The Action' causing the custom script to play.  All we would have to do is slip down to the custom script of 'File' & who.  No don't crash, no babysitting.

  DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW OR IF THIS IS POSSIBLE?  To add to the attached script:

  (1) initially to open and close the box "find and replace".

  (2) at the end to cause 'action' saved to run.

• How can I refresh internally swatches in illustrator by jsx?

  I have a problem with Illustrator when I loop through all the nuances as to all tones, that it does not all shades are swatche list. But when I reopen it the document even then it works fine. his Illustrator bug so I think that there should be a way to refresh the nuances internally. Please help caught in the trap in such a situation.

  I found a solution to overcome the error params for the shades of color. While we cross through swatches. You can stringify object and can check whether or not illustrator error has occurred in the case of check just swatch [witness] and in the case of color task just check for [place].

• El Capitan public beta for 2015 CC apps

  I installed the public beta version of El Capitan last night on my Macbook Pro. It seems to run that most applications of 2015 just fine for me. Everyone knows anything with the following applications that does not work? Just curious.

There are various reasons why an OpenGL errors may arise from issues implemented in Illustrator, bug in the drivers, the lack of memory in the GPU to render the content, an error of computation on the GPU or even a bug in the OS etc...

  The reason why we have implemented a back fall with 19.0.1 is to prevent undesirable rendering problems when these errors occur. Please click on does not show them the check box and continue to work on Illustrator. Illustrator turn off automatically the GPU acceleration momentarily when it detects an error. This momentary exit ramp is applicable only for the current session. The next time you start Illustrator, we will try to reuse the GPU.

  With Apple and Microsoft we also work with different hardware vendors such as NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel is to get these issues resolved or to implement workaround in our own product.

• GPU with Illu erros. CC 2015

  I just did the update of CC 2015 on Illustrator and all of a sudden I keep getting GPU error messages when I open the app. It's the first time I get these and it's on the same specifications material as usual. The PC is under a year old and I do not see why I will say that my graphics card drivers are not updated when I run almost all other CC applications on the same platform with no problems. I have download the latest drivers from Nvidia and now I'm still not able to open Illustrator. It crashed at the same time. No other CC application does that.

• Problem with the arrow keys in some tools

  Then, as most of you know, you can use the arrows on your keyboard to change the radius of rounding of certain tools, add or remove segments of the spiral shape, etc. A tap should adjust your settings of the tool into thin slices. But in my case when I press the arrow key, it makes big changes. The same thing is 'C', 'X', 'F', 'V '. So I can't use these tools properly. Does anyone know how to deal with this problem?   If you use a Wacom tablet, then you are a victim of the Wacom/Illustrator bug. As far as I know there is no solution yet. The only solution is to temporarily use a conventional mouse.

• Library of the Illustrator rename Bug

  I find a bug rename items in my library. Specifically, after that I selected and point and choose "Rename" from the context menu, the name of the library item is highlighted and seems to be active, but if I start typing the result is that I'm starting to trigger different tools in the main document with their access keys. I then select the renamed text and I can rename if necessary.

  Thus, in order to rename, I now select the object, right-click, choose "Rename" from the context menu, then manually highlight the name of objects (even if it is highlighted) and type the new name. Not a great critical but annoying bug...

  Hello Adobe Creative cloud users, I have an urgent problem, I hope that you can help me with:

  I have a subscription year of CC running since the beginning of December 2015. Somehow I've always used versions "trial" of programs. Since yesterday, when I want to use Illustrator, the application manager appears and says my trial is over. To use Illustrator, I have the choice between registration and purchase. When clicking on 'register' it won´t accept my e-mail and password, saying: there is no account connected to my address. When you click on 'buy' I get sent to the Adobe homepage where I can connect with the same addy and password and can access my account etc. So won´t I would buy, stating that I have a membership already where it is included. It s obviously a bug, but I have no idea what to do with her and urgently need to work on with a pressing client project.

  Anyone experienced the same problem in the past and has a solution for me? Chat / phone-supported is no option because it is only available from Monday. On the frequently asked questions I coudn´t find the problem either. I already tried to uninstall all CC but got the error "other programs installed still need the CC" so who does not work either. I uninstalled all products CC already one, CS6 is still there, so maybe that's the problem? But I'm not delet ethat minimum that still works.

  It's a glitch/bug. Disable the GPU performance in preferences.

• Illustrator 2015 full of bugs, sort of re - install the creative cloud 2014?

  After that a few days with Illustrator 2015 I discovered new annoying bug all the time.

  It's really not a good time of the battle of the bugs when Im on a delay.

  We have published a 19.0.1 hotfix that resolves this problem in discussion on this topic. Please apply the patch to your creative cloud application. The creative cloud application checks the update once a day, so you may see the update immediately.  If you want to force the check for an update at the beginning please logout and log back into the creative Cloud application.
