MIC settings

I was playing around with my settings, as I was on Skype because I was told that my microphone does not work. I went to control panel, hardware and sound, manage devices audio and played a bit with the record setting to get the microphone to work. I changed the microphone voice against zero option and am now unable to undo what I did. Is it possible that I can get the mic setting to the default microphone to my computer?

Hello

Control Panel - SOUNDS - Audio peripheral devices configuration-manager

Make sure you write down the description and model double click top - tab drivers - write version. Now
Click on update drivers who cannot do anything like MS is far behind the certification of drivers. Then RIGHT
CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.

If your driver shows 06 you have the default windows and part of the question.

Go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest Audio/Sound drivers - download - SAVE - go to the place where you
Put them - right click on Reboot - RUN AS ADMIN -.

Check the Version tab of the driver in the Device Manager as the restoration of the sound card drivers often and
then install the latest version. Restart and check after each test, not uncommon to
run the driver 1-4 times or more. Just make sure that the version you have installed appears
on the driver tab.

Then navigate to the site of the manufacturer of the device and search for the drivers more recent and repeat the installation procedure.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Hello queen17,.

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your external microphone will not remain as the default device after a reboot.

I suggest to disable the microphone integrated into the Device Manager and see if that solved the problem. You can do this by doing a right click on the sound icon in the lower right of your screen and choosing of recording devices. From there, you should see built-in Microphone. Right-click and choose disable. Now, left-click on your external microphone and choose set as default > unit default down.

I would like to know if it works!

  • Camera photo & Mic settings by site

Question - Flash 10.3, if I go to control panel in XP or Win7, the camera and the microphone the value allow for a specific site, and then applied to all Windows user profiles?  So for example as different users connect to Windows on the same machine and they launch or go to this site, are the microphone already set to "Allow" for them - because I already put it in the control panel?   Or is it still specific profile and are they going to get invited for the first time, they go to this site?

So, in essence, allowing a site to use the microphone in the global settings in the control panel is global for all users then who connect to this computer?

    Hi kr00zn,

Pat is correct (as usual) - I checked with a member of the engineering team and received the following response:

"Yes, the parameter only currently applies to the current user account. It does not affect the Cam/Mic setting for all the user accounts on the machine. If you want to assign settings for all user accounts, you must use the mms.cfg file. »

If you are interested in using the mms.cfg file to assign settings for all accounts on a particular machine, you can find information on how to do it http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html.

    Hello

What a problem? Do you think that it is really a problem or perhaps only a configuration setting bad microphone?
I think that he just misconfigured s mic settings!

If you use the external microphone, you should check the settings in the-> sound & audio devices Control Panel.
In the Volume press tab on the Advanced button and check if the Microphone control is not mute.
Use the Advanced button and the brand, select options called Mic2 and mic amp.

After struggling with an inactive microfone after upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10, I found the solution on https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Skype:

Turn to PulseAudio autospawn off, normally: $ echo "autospawn = no" > ~/.pulse/client.conf
    Kill PulseAudio: $ killall pulseaudio
    Stop and restart Skype

After this procedure, I could choose my microfone in the audio settings and it works fine now.

I recently got the computer and functioning perfectly, except the microphone does not work.
I checked the drivers, and I have 1 thing that says that we don't know. I looked at the list of drivers on the Toshiba site, and I don't see what it would be.

    Hello

You should also check the volume controls in the "Audio & Sound devices" in the Panel.
In the 'Volume' tab it please go to "Advanced".
Then a "Volume control" should appear.
Check if all controls are set at a high level.
In addition, enter the 'options' and 'properties' and activate all volume controls.
Also change to "recording" and activate here also all the controls.
Additional you must check if the "check" is set to high.

Use the 'Advanced' mic option and play with thrust mic settings.
I'm sure that you will find the best settings for your mic record

When you have launched the app for the first time, you should have received an option to allow or block the use of the MIC and the webcam with this software. If you have accepted, then it should work. However, it seems that this is not the case, then I recommend to check your Mic settings.

  • My Mic Bluetooth disconnects when I close the window settings Bluetooth =)

    Hello Microsoft =)

For some strange reason, which I do not know... whenever I close my Bluetooth settings... window my micro disconnects-_ -

My adapter had windows 7 find it of own drivers... you know, plug & play. So it's using the basic drivers... which is fine. the meaning of the use of does ' t Bluetooth adapter it's own software. So I'll tell you exactly what I'm doing...

First... I take my Bluetooth headset... Secondly, I right click on the Bluetooth icon in the status bar. Then I click on show settings. Then I click on the Audio tab, go to my bluetooth headset in the list... Highlight it... and I click on connect... 3 or 6 seconds... wa... connected. now I have a... OK button and a Cancel button. I click ok and my Bluetooth headset will beep... I will come back and it is disconnected = (I also on Skype or any other audio software like that... and it won't work. no sound of it. of course.)

So, I'm sure you can see my problem... and I hope you understand my "entourage" with what is happening here. Let me know, thanks.

Thank you, Kim. Of course, this problem has been occurring for some time in Windows 7 and continues to persist to this day. I tried your above corrections, and the first didn't work. However, I changed the Startup Type to automatic as you suggest. It doesn't have an effect at first. Your second explanation does not specify which Bluetooth driver to uninstall. So, I tried to remove the headset from the list of devices, put it back. My sound settings configuration has not changed, and the helmet device was still attached to the default playback and recording device, it was when I first set up the bluetooth headset. When I reinstalled the helmet, it connected automatically this time without having to open the checking of helmet and do it manually. Before I followed these steps, it wouldn't connect and the headset is not found in the sound control window. I had to open the box to control the headset and connect manually. Then, when I was closing the command window, the headset to disconnect, and it disappears from the sound settings window. Now, it connects just when I turn on the headset and put in Bluetooth mode. So, my suggestion for someone else who has this problem would be to follow step 1, and then lift the helmet of devices, then add it to devices. Then restart the computer, and it should work. It did for me. Thank you!

  • Assign different mouse settings to different mice?

Is it possible to set different mouse pointer speed settings when you use more than one mouse on a Windows 7 PC?  The typical case is a laptop with both a touchpad and external mouse high resolution, where the speed of the pointer would either be too slow for the touchpad or too quickly with the mouse.

The workaround I found is to buy a utility (http://www.gphotoshow.com/mouse-speed-switcher.php), which allows you to manually switch between the two profiles of mouse with a shortcut key.

I think it would be better to be able to assign profiles of different mouse for each device of mouse individually, eliminating the need to switch manually.

Anyone know if such a product is or whether it is possible to do?

The team Microsoft Windows: can we get this in the next version of Windows?

    Thank you.

    Hello
It is not possible to assign speeds different pointer in windows 7. However, there are third party software that can provide you with the functionality you need.

  • Satellite C650D - internal mic not working not

    Hello forum

When I tried to cut the internal mic, I accidently deleted the pickup and its driver completely a few days from now.
and after you have reinstalled the driver, I can't have the microphone to capture sound.

I do not know if the internal MIC is visible in the tab "recording devices", what I see is "Conexant SmartAudio HD CX20671".

Could be internal, might as well be the external microphone that I use sometimes.

    Help me please.

    Hi mate

You can try reinstalling the Conexant audio driver again. Usually this should detect all devices audio and microphone, even if it was previously disabled.
The driver can be found on the European driver Toshiba page.

    Another tip:
You should check the audio settings in Control Panel-> Sound-> recording tab

Here, you should see two entries: internal and external microphone mix that should not be permit/detected if the external microphone is not connected.
The internal mic must be defined as a default!

  • Built in mic has stopped working on my Satellite Pro T130

    Dear Forum,

the microphone of my Satellite Pro T130 15F stopped working a couple of days at a time.

    It captures the white noise.
But he responds only to knock on the place where it is located next to the built-in webcam. It does not pick up normal voice or cry out to him...

Can't bring any changes to the software that could influence.

What I've done so far: deleted drivers, installed new, updated all Toshiba Software and downloaded and run all the stuff suggested to this problem.
And of course, it is not set to mute or upgraded to the bottom.

    Still no cure.
    What's next?

    Thanks much adavance.

Hmmm, it makes a static noise? Kinda sounds like hardware related issue
But check the microphone settings in the control panel-> sound-> recording tab
Here, you should see two entries; internal microphone and external microphone port.
The internal microphone must be turned on!

In addition, the internal mic belongs to the webcam. In the assistant webcam-> settings-> audio tab, you can increase the maximum microphone volume.
    Check this box
