Microsoft called the owners of computers on the virus?

I recently got a call at my place of residence of a person saying that they were calling from Microsoft and that they were receiving error messages from my computer as a malicious virus was downloaded on my computer. They really say this without having access to my computer and what they are doing he used to call people to their personal residences? When I tried to tell the person that I don't download games or music on my computer, he said "I don't trust you." I was pretty shocked and hung up, but then I started second guessing myself. Someone at - he heard of this? Is this some kind of scam?

  • Microsoft calls the people to report hackers access your computer

I received a call from someone who claims to be from Microsoft saying that he had tried to reach me with messages pop up for 5 weeks to report that my computer has beed pirate.  They asked me to type int CMD in the start menu and then read a line of the type that started with "send to the target."  I was suspicious, but allowed them to transfer me to a technician who wanted to help me get rid of the intruder.  I asked for a number where I could call back them, and he argued that "hacker could be tuned" says so they would call me in return a number, I could see.  Pending their appeal, I did a quick search to see if anyone from MIcrosoft never call customers about the problems of this kind.  All the results, said that MS never calls visitors unless a ticket has been opened.  When they recalled that I asked wherever they called and they said in Brampton, but the number she gave me was not an exchange of Brampton.  Every question I asked foreign led and answers by a stranger, I told them white point that I felt it was a scam.  At this point, my technician has hung up.

Is Microsoft never contact with customers all the so-called "pirates"?

Nope. It's a scam. Microsoft will not call you unless you initiate the call or support ticket.

Do not give them any information, or give them access to your PC.
  • Microsoft called the individual clients directly indicating they received an error report?

I would like to done knowledge individual customer contact direct Microsoft indicating that they have received REPORTS of MISTAKES from my PC and then continue to tell me to turn on my computer, go to start etc. I said that I did not send error reports, but the person at the other end becomes very insistent that I have a problem. I did not follow their instructions at any time and to date I have now been contacted 4 times the most recent being about 20 minutes ago. I just might be too cautious, but it's something Microsoft did? For your info, it's always a lady or man with an Asian accent. Thank you very much.

    See this:

  • Microsoft calls to tell me I have a virus

I was asked to give them access to my computer because Microsoft had detected a serious virus from my computer which was infecting other computers.  The call seemed suspicious, like a call center sweatbox with people who had accents of the East Indies.  I asked his phone number to prove that they were by Microsoft and they gave me 16143889092 when I called them back, it didn't look like a professional service.

I remember when I installed Macafee software and were future problems in this group of people.  How is it, that no one can stop these guys become deformed?

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

    Please see:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

These appellants are difficult but not impossible, to close because they operate all over the world and many do.

  • Microsoft CALLED my phone at home today.

    Microsoft calls the people?

Stranger claimed my computer flickered a message on Windows and that he would help me to fix it by phone - BUT he had need of my ID #. I told her that I does not my ID number to someone on the phone. I called the number back a few minutes later and someone answered with just "Hello"? Then after a second or 2, she has identified herself as a person of Microsoft and even once asked me for my ID #. I hung up.

The phone number that came on my phone is: (914-465-0874.  I guess it's a scam of phone and won't deal with them. Microsoft should make this more public type of scam, so people will not give ANY information to scammers. They were quite insistent and aggravated that I would not give them my computer/Microsoft identification number.

Microsoft never cold call people.  It's a scam

  • I got 2 calls saying that my computer has a virus which is mess up other computers on the network. I think it's fake but wanted to check with Microsoft.

I think that calls people are seeking access to my computer, but want to be sure.

    Hi Margiep8587,

Microsoft does not call for clients to prevent infection by the virus on their computers. You can run a scan for viruses online on your computer to verify if your computer is infected.

  • call the owner VI several times

    Hi all

I try to call the owner VI several times and was not sure if it's possible. I try to call the same VI in a VI with different condition.

I have this VI as active with reentrant template (VI_1), and inside the loop, he calls another instance of this model (let's call it VI_2) and wait for the completion called VI (VI_2) and proceed to the next action. The problem, it's wait until done does not wait even if I set it to True. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? or even if this is possible.

    Thank you in advance.

    So the VI calls himself?

If so, you can drop the VI to its own diagram if it is defined in the version of LabVIEW 2009 neres and later.

a microsoft tech has just called me and said I had a virus. He had me then download a teamviewer program witch allow him to take control of my computer. is it true or not. He cut me short and said that they only work half days on Friday.

    Hello

Its definitely a scam like GT4U said, if you have installed any program this session please uninstall them.

Just for your safety, never let anyone connect remotely to your computer because they can easily steal your identity.

When you call a known techinical support company and they you ask remotely, log in then you can leave, another that never do, unless you really know the person on the other side.

  • Received a call of 'Microsoft Partner' £100 to fix the virus csrss.exe eager...

I received a call from Aishaz Tech informing me, I got the "csrss.exe"virus and that they could solve the problem for me for £100, which is the cost of the "Microsoft Tools" necessary to solve the problem.  They said that I not able to repair myself, nor anyone else would have had none of these tools and they are a Microsoft partner.  I run MS Windows 7 Home Preimium.  I didn't even notice that I had a problem.  There is only one version of crss.exe in the running task manager (although I can't open the file location) and I have had no other problems such as unexpected POPs Windows that other people with this virus are complaining about.

How can I know that this is not just a scam to get 100 pounds of me?
How can I know that I even the virus?
How do they know I have the virus and where they got my phone number from?
Is it also true that not even reformat the HARD drive and reinstall all the software from scratch can solve the problem?

They asked me to use "Teamviewer" free software to enable them to take on my screen, showing me the 'evidence' that I got the virus csrss.exe by:
    (1) running msconfig and showing me that much Microsoft services in the Service tab have the status 'arrested '.  They said all Microsoft services in the Service tab are essential and must always be running - is this true?
    (2) they ran regedit and viewd under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SAFETY record, for which the data column says (value not set) and told me that it meant my anti-virus did not work (I use AVG Free, who says he runs and certainly seems to be analyzes all incoming e-mails).  Nobody knows what the data column should be in it?
    (3) they then looked at what is called prefetch, showed me loads of entries with numbers and no names of recognizable program or file which said, contained the virus.
4 BACK), they ran a tree, sending loads of country names and other information too fast to read the screen, followed a sentence saying your antivirus software is out of date or does not work and an urgent need to be updated.  But I keep my AVG anti-virus updated software automatically.
I don't know what to do and I am really worried about what they could do with my computer while they were back online.  Someone at - it good suggestions please?

I don't know if Microsoft would take interest because they have themselves identified (many claim come / working on behalf of Microsoft/Windows).

Your main course would be your local trading standards office find a letter enough to follow through is going to be extremely lucky.

The Police has a role through the Central cybercrime Police Unit (info here, puts it's national) Although the report must be done locally and the same COMPUTER literacy issue may arise as to Trading Standards. Perhaps mention the group could wake up a local Plod that they should actually do something, but that you have not paid what was then a crime took place?

PS as you have no evidence as such a problem of recovery is far away still.

buy an iphone 5s by amazon and I came with iCloud blocked an account... I called the seller and does not that I do that I'm from Venezuela please need your help

No one here can help you. The device is locked activation. Since you have made the purchase by Amazon, you can check with them to see if they will stand behind it. No one on the forum, or Apple can help you remove the lock. Only the previous owner can do this. I suggest that you demand a refund, so let's start a claim with Amazon about this dealer.
