Microsoft keyboaard 2000 wireless

I bought a Microsoft wireless keyboard with mouse 2000 - the part that connects to the computer that it is folded, the keyboard and the mouse are fine but do not work.  I suspect this bent part is the problem.  Can this part be replaced or buy a new mouse - for use with existing wireless keyboard?

  • Microsoft Desktop 2000 USB receiver will not be detected in Windows 8?

    Split of: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-hardware/microsoft-desktop-2000-usb-receiver-wont-be/1b6e623d-e466-4c81-9d0c-da29eb58604c

I have a new Microsoft Wireless 2000 keyboard and plugged the USB into my computer Windows 8 and nothing happens.  No noise, no detection, nothing.  The recommendation is to check the batteries in the keyboard and get drivers, but that shouldn't matter for the dongle.  He should at least ding and try to discover what he as it does for everything else that I plug.   I downloaded the drivers and the batteries are all new.  Everything else works in the USB ports, so I think that the new dongle is just bad.

I also had a mouse Microsoft Wireless Mobile 4000 and the dongle does not even fit into my USB port.  I can connect any other USB device very well, but I couldn't get this dongle in once and since then I can't do without possibly breaking something back in.  I have tried other devices and it's 50-50 whether it fits or not.   It works actually when I get it, in contrast to the keyboard, but once it's in it can not be removed apparently.

I'm not sure that I hope more than Microsoft hardware.  I may have to stick to software only.  I never had so much trouble with other brands of trust.

    Hello Bphurley,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community forum.

You can try the steps to uninstall the USB Device Manager, uninstall the drivers of device from the list of programs, and then download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website.

    Step 1:

Uninstall the device from Device Manager

    • Open the Device Manager
    • Expand the USB section.
    • Find the USB device.
    • Click with the right button on USB and select Uninstall.
    • Select the check box delete the driver for this device.
    • Restart the computer after the uninstall is complete.

    Step 2:

Uninstall the drivers of device from the list of programs in the control panel

    • Click Start, select Control Panel
    • Now, click on programs and select programs and features.
    • Find the USB.
    • Right-click USB driver and select Uninstall.
    • Restart the computer after the uninstall is complete.

    Step 3:

Download and install the latest drivers for the USB on the manufacturer's Web site

If you can't find the proper drivers rom the manufacturer website please provide us with brand and model your computer and we will try to find the drivers available on the web.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.

I have a microsoft 1025 standard wireless optical mouse model. The right button has stopped working. Is used in conjunction with Microsoft Wireless MuliMedia keyboard 1.1 model 1014. They came as a package. Have removed the mouse cktbd switch and tested for continuity. Test failed. Others have found in the forums with similar but not same prob.

Here are a few solutions that I came up with.

    1. New mouse and wireless keyboard (really don't want to)
    2. Replace the switch if possible (can do if I can a provider)
    3. Use the mouse to odifferent if same freq (not likely)
    4. Purchase used one, if one is (also unlikely)

How can I get rid of the message "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional".  Apparently, the system does not find a valid source for this.  To my knowledge, I have not downloaded this software even though I must admit that it does not appear in my list of software.  I tried to remove the screws of the Panel control, but to no avail.

Thank you for your response.  I have now solved the problem by deleting the installation, using the cleanup utility.

I try to run "Add or Remove Programs" and it gives an error message. I can't delete or fix this program.

  • Microsoft Broadband Networking Wireless Base Station. MN-700

I have a Microsoft Broadband Networking Wireless Base Station. MN-700.  I need to know how to find my wep and setting up a secure network.  I moved several times and don't know where to find the owner's manual.  Any suggestions?

It's simple. Just reset the router and set up as if it were the first time. Then, you can simply choose a new password and security settings.

However, if you prefer to have a manual everything you need to do is google the manufacturer and model number. You will have at least 10 links directly to the online, as a PDF owner's manual. Then Adobe Acrobat can view the information for you.

Same program WHICH is free. Pluck so far! Type on... whatever.

    Hello Liddiepud,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

Outlook 2000 is not supported on Windows 7. There may be workarounds, but this isn't a support software. You can use Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 to compatible systems.
