Microsoft's URL broken

Try to download Microsoft Malicious
Version of the software removal tool 3.11

Windows-kb890830 - v3.11.exe

A page Microsoft Web says that the URL is

http://download.Microsoft.com/download/4/A/A/4AA524C6-239d-47FF-860B-5B397199CBF8/Windows-KB890830-v3.11.exe

but I get a message that the file is not found.

You try to download

"the latest Microsoft Security Essentials
definition updates"of

http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=87342

but again I get a broken URL.

What are some URLS that work?

Thank you.

Here's a download link that works (for me, at least)

  • Satellite A100-036 - label Microsoft OEM are broken

    Hello!

Tag Microsoft OEM on my Satellite A100-036 (s/n 37059063Q) has been partially damaged, and I can't read product s/n (Windows Vista HB).

How can I fix this label? Or I have to buy the new OS?

    Thank you.

    Hello

The serial key belongs to the Windows operating system which is part of the Toshiba recovery image.
This means that, in most cases you cannot use it as part of other versions of Windows.
Moreover Windows system which is part of the image is already enabled for this serial key is not really necessary
If you don t have a recovery disk (maybe you forget to create it in the past) you could try to order it here: http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
But I don't very well if this would be possible because of the age of the computer laptop m

In the case otherwise you need a Microsoft disk to install the Windows OS, but in this case, each Microsoft Windows disk is provided with own serial key

  • Microsoft Update is broken?

After the patches Microsoft November 2014 have been released, I have connected to the Microsoft Update web site and look for updates for Office 2007 Suite installed on my computer, and Office 2007 has been patched successfully; my computer still has loaded XP but I also genuine Office 2007 is installed, including Microsoft Update (not Windows Update) regularly checks the updates. Yesterday I even clicked on Microsoft Update (http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate... but the page did not open and displays the message "this site has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to display.) "The error no.: 0 x 80248015. My second computer with XP but with genuine Office 2007 could not be connected to the Microsoft Update web page either and the same message was displayed, which shows that the error is not specific to one computer. Microsoft Update web site is temporarily down? Or started Microsoft prevent users from Windows XP from Microsoft Update, even if these users always have other Microsoft products like office and always need to run Microsoft Update. The procedure gave me last year I've updated Windows Update on the second computer components, where the Update window now properly works but as soon as I go to Microsoft Update from Windows Update, the error message is displayed. So, it is definitely a problem with Microsoft Update. The computer clock is synchronized automatically and I also synchronize manually at any time.

I would appreciate help with this problem, because I still need to update Office 2007 by Microsoft Update.

EDIT: the problem with the "microsoft update" site has been fixed...

  • URL broken in all CF reports

I tried to find a solution to this for several months.
Once that you upgrade to any other JVM 1.4.2_05 (for example apply CF Updaters) all URL links in reports of CF break. They become non-functional. I can't find technical documents to solve this problem, or I saw a software patch from Adobe.
The only way that seems to solve this problem is to install the JVM old back.
To replicate to create a simple report by using CF Builder with one field only. In this domain, create a remote URL to something like yahoo. Now copy the file in a CF 7.0 (1.4.2_05) and this compared to CF 7.0.2 (1.4.2_09).
Someone at - he found a way to solve this problem?

Ok. I did a final search and you would know it sounds just fixed with hotfix 2 for ColdFusion.

  • Unable to connect to the internet after the removal of system tool virus

A computer running Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 3 has got a virus System Tool which I believe I deleted using the key of activation and then run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.  On reboot, the system tool icon was still in the system tray, so I ran Norton 360 to remove unwanted registry files.  He got rid of the icon in the system tray.  I also then removed the Malwarebytes software.  Please note that, while I was removing the virus, I was able to connect to AOL so that in mode safe mode with networking.  Finally, who has stopped working.  The Malwarebytes software has been downloaded on the infected computer with a flash drive from a computer with working internet.

I cannot now connect to the internet with Internet Explorer 8 or AOL (under standard or secure modes).  When you are trying to connect with IE8, the message reads 'Internet Explorer cannot display the web page' and when I run the diagnostic tests, it indicates there is a problem with the modem and/or router.  These devices are, however, both the work that there are other computers connected to them and they work.

I tried Microsoft solutions are answers to a similar question.  Unfortunately, none of them worked in my situation.  They have been in accordance with the following:

    No doubt...

What happens when you try to connect to the Internet?

What is your version of XP, the version of Service Pack and IE?

What method did you relieve your system of affection 'Antivir Solution Pro' (how confident you are that you got rid of him)?

Generally, any part of this procedure is necessary after removing Antivir Solution Pro (a well documented removal procedure would have included the steps to cancel Internet connectivity issues).  I would get my infected system and try the procedure you used to see how it works.

If, when you try to connect with Internet Explorer, you see something like:

Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage

    The most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
    The Web site encounters problems.
There could be a typing error in the address.

We will check your network connection properties.

Some malware will alter these settings and your anti malware software can't tell if you have changed the malware changed them or so, after removal of infections, it will leave just the settings as he finds them (it is usually a good thing), but can leave your Internet disabled in certain situations.

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Inetcpl.cpl

Click OK to start the network settings of Internet control panel applet properties, connections.

Or, in Internet Explorer click on tools, Options, connections, LAN settings.

These settings control your Internet access for all browsers.

On most environments, not independent, there will be check automatically detect settings and the other boxes are (as Proxy Server) is disabled.

Automatically detect the setting checked =
Use the automatic configuration script = unchecked
Use a proxy server for your LAN = not checked

Make changes, then click OK, OK to save the settings.

Check your settings for how your network adapter gets its IP and DNS settings.  On most home systems, these parameters must be defined for the system will get the settings automatically.

If you have another system on your network that works, you can compare these settings with the settings of the system which is not a work and make adjustments.

Click Start, settings, Control Panel, network connections, and then select your current network connection.

On the general tab, click Properties.

In the drop down in the Middle, find and highlight the selection of Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.

In the Internet Protocol Properties window, the usual selections are to get the IP and DNS settings automatically.  Select the following two options:

    Obtain an IP address automatically

Get a DNS server address automatically

The rest of the options on the screen should then be grayed out/not available.

Make changes, then click OK, OK to save the settings.

Restart your computer and test your connection.

Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

Also, I typed cmd in the start run box and the command-line entered ipconfig enough and ipconfig/renew.  This is also not rectify the situation.

For your assistance, the following is a copy of a part of the file that I thought that may be applicable after that I typed in miscinfo32 in start, run box:

You have any ideas that could help me find an internet connection?  Thanks for any help.

The removal of the virus seems to have taken some required system files.  See if the System File Checker helps.  Click Start > run and enter in the field open.

    sfc/scannow

Press ENTER.  The System File Checker must detect the missing necessary files and put back them.  If this does not work, use a system restore point from before you were infected.  If this does not work, get out of your XP installation diskettes.

  • The upgrade to Windows 7 x 64

I have a Dell Precision T5400 here, which is still under Vista 32 - bit. I heard that this machine came with a license for Windows 7 64 bit. Is it possible to confirm this? What I need to find a copy of Win7 disks to make use of this license?

If she has a license of Windows 7, it will have a certificate of authenticity Windows 7 on it:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/a-clean-install-of-Windows-7/the-OEM-or-retail-license-and-product-activation-Windows-Vista-7/

If the said Charter contract Vista this is not allowed to run Windows 7. Even if the OEM of Windows 7 license, it will be difficult to install without the installation media. Microsoft have recently broken the Digital River .isos and instead made a recovery of software not functional tool who deliberately blocks of the Dell OEM licenses.

  • How can I download the patches/updates for CF11?

As the title asks... y at - it a simple way to download patches and updates for CF11?

I visited the adobe site, click the link after link that leads to a URL broken for a blog. Are there not a simple list and a download link available? I need to use them to get a head script to apply via the terminal.

Right. I read the other posts and do not know if it's the same or not, but...

Update Windows page fails to load - no error message
antivirus and another updater with update in the URL cannot purely and simply, or don't load - no error message
any attempt to download anything from microsoft download site fails to load - no error message

I got stardock, not my colors, uninstalled

    same result.

    any ideas?

    CLM-NSWG4,
It seems to me that you can have to deal with a virus\malware infection.  You can watch these threads discuss virus problems and see if you are able to detect problems, that I suggest you use an online scanner (if you are able to) and scan your system.

  • Windows Installer 3.1 - link on Microsoft is no longer a valid URL

I get a "0x8024400A" error when I try to allow Microsoft Update to run automatically.  I also get errors when I try to download and install SP3 and .net framework manually.  I found that I need "Windows Installer 3.1" and I clicked on the link provided in the search files and help files.  But when I click to download, the Microsoft website indicates the URL is no longer available, even if they have a Web page tell you step by step how to install it.  But, once you click on the link on this page to perform the actual installation, is no longer available.  How can I get it?  I have Windows XP Professional SP2 32-bit.

The link does not work, but I found an answer somewhere on the forum that got me working again.  They said to do window update function and stop giving me the msg of error above, to go to

    Command prompt: net stop wuaserv

    Command prompt: net stop bits

Run Windows Update Agent (he in fact ran without error this time)

    Command prompt: net start wuaserv

    Command prompt: net start bits

Windows update (ran without errors, and my computer is finally able to catch up with the missing pieces...) I was able to run updates since then).

    Thank you.
