Microsoft will support windows 7 in the long term, the reason I ask this is that I'm so fed up with windows 10 I'm looking to go back to windows 7 where I'll get less browser issues with does not, what microsoft partners telling me I have a lot of driver's fault and then after you leave them in OH YES, I have CRACK FOR this ONE TOO, in one day, my computer was silly.

All development for Outlook Express and Windows Mail ceased in June 2006. (Yes. So Vista is still beta). No change will never be in each program. Support will continue updates of security as long as their operating system is supported. April 2014, for XP SP3. Not sure about Vista SP2. Bruce Hagen ~ MS - MVP [Mail]

  • Firefox will supports Windows XP after it's retired. Because Google Chrome says apparently it will be. I am happy using Firefox and curious. Thank you!

Wanted to know if Firefox supports Windows XP after it's retired.
Read on the internet that apparently Google Chrome will support it.
I don't like Google Chrome and will continue with Firefox but hoped they will support Windows XP.
If this is not the case, what kind of problems would I have?
I was told that I have a good virus program would be nice.
I have Avast which has worked well for me.
I do not have a personal thing on my computer to worry if someone would try to hack.
Only thing I really do a lot of is to go on my writing groups in Yahoo. But it would be nice to not worry about Malware, threats etc like that and having to run my scans every day.
I'm not at a point where I can buy a new computer, or to afford to go to Windows 7, which is always being updated.
Heard of that Windows 8 is a nightmare and, apparently, a new version that the user is more than friendly Windows 9 didn't will be out til later this year or early next year.
    Thank you!

  • When UM will support windows 2008?

Simple question, does anyone know when UM will support Windows 2008 to scan/patch? And SQL 2008 to scan/patch?

I can't wait to throw my old WSUS.

    Hello

Update Manager 4.0 supports Windows Server 2008 for scanning and remediation. Please take a look at the following link:

    http://www.VMware.com/support/vSphere4/doc/vsp_vum_40_rel_notes.html#Interop

From now on, UM 4.0 supports Microsoft SQL Server versions 7.0/2000/2005 for scanning and remediation. Suport for SQL 2008 to scan/patch may be addressed in future releases it.

    Thank you.

  • HP officejet 100: printer hp officejet 100 laptop will support Windows CE?

I'm working on Windows CE project.  I need to print with hp officejet 100 via Bluetooth or usb. I don't know if the printer hp officejet 100 laptop will support Windows CE or not. Can someone clarify for me please.

    Hi SureshR,

This OfficeJet 100 was not designed to work with Windows CE, as such. The specifications include Windows XP, Vista and 7.

You you can try the different drivers to see if none of them work. Also check for the built-in drivers in Windows CE. The specifications page points to www.westtek.com for Windows Mobile printing.

  • A Web site that I use States: this agency will support is no longer using the Protocol of internet security TLS 1.0 or 1.1 - how to change this with Firefox?

I use a site that now has the following statement:

Safety notice: as part of our ongoing efforts to improve security, this agency will be no longer support the use of the internet security TLS 1.0 protocol effective August 1. In addition, we will also stop the support for the Security Protocol Internet TLS 1.1 on 1 September. This means you must update your browser to use this site. For any questions about the update, please consult your browser provider.

    How do I change this?

Unless your Firefox settings have been changed, Firefox is ready for sites that use TLS 1.2, the latest version of the SSL protocol.

For example, if you click on the Green padlock on this site, so more information, the bottom of the Panel security in the Page Info dialog box should show that the page was encrypted using TLS 1.2. I have attached a screenshot showing where to find this information.

Can you confirm that this works?

  • Microsoft will support the Component HD cables?

I was a BIG fan of XBOX from day one and I am owner of 11 original XBOX and has 4 360 working and 2 or 3 deaths.  I have countless games XBOX 360 games, and held 14 Halo tournaments, etc..

However, I bought my TV some time ago and it does not support the DVI and HDMI.  I am VERY happy with my TV and it has served me well.  I see no need to upgrade forever, he looks and plays very well.  However, without component cables, or at least HDMI with optical, I won't be able to play an XBOX.

I hope that Microsoft execs reading this post and realize that a lot of people will be alienated if you stubbornly REFUSE to include support for the component.  Most of the 2010 TV and a decline supported or two HDMI from best.  So basically, if you arrogantly proceed with HDMI only, you tell consumers that if they bought their TV four years ago is a chance, they should not be able to play an XBOX and must either A) stick with the 360 B) buy a PS4.

So I am well want to ask Microsoft to listen this time as well and include the ability of component HD.  It is a simple and reasonable decision and alienates so no.

  • Microsoft will Force Windows 10 on compatible Satellite L830-16W

I know the title of the thread seems stupid, but read web reports MS really want people out of Windows 8.1.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L830-16W, which thanks to Toshiba, is not compatible Windows 10.

Very disappointed Toshiba may not be disturbed, making it less than 3 year hardware run the newish OS.

Is smart enough to drop the Windows 10 download on my machine of Microsoft Update?

My laptop was not supposed to be compatible with Win10, but with a little registry tweaking I got it to download and install, Win10 works fine.

  • When will to stop Microsoft support Windows 7 Starter?

    My question is that simple;

When Microsoft stop supporting Windows 7 Starter? Or it has already stopped?

In terms of supported Microsoft does not distinguish between different versions of a specific version of Windows. If all versions of Windows 7 will continue to be on a general public support until January 12, 2015. This is because all versions of Windows 7 are the same at the base with different features enabled or disabled according to the license.

The general term is his 'life' and details for Windows 7 can be found here. Of course, they could remove a particular version of sale at any time as is currently "to be determined".

  • Installation CD for HP Photosmart and B210e Plus that supports Windows 8

I just bought a new laptop with Windows 8.  I tried to install my printer HP Photosmart Plus B210e with the installation CD, and it supports up to Windows 7.  I can still use the printer since Windows will install the necessary drivers without the CD.  The problem I have is that the printer is ALL that I can use without an installation CD that will support Windows 8.  I can't use my photo software that came with the printer or scanner.  I also need to print pictures and others and cannot do it either.  I've scoured the forums and the internet for a solution and so far I've found nothing on it.  I thought about the reorganization of a CD through HP, but why bother if it doesn't have been upgraded to WIndows 8 support (and when I drilled down on the details of the CD to see if it DID not support Windows 8, it wouldn't let me the info of the CD).  Can someone help me with this please?  My printer is just a little over a year and it of pretty frustrating HP knew that Microsoft would be the release of WIndows 8, but doesn't foresee everything to cela or provide information to their customers before selling all of these printers.
