Migrate content from 10g to stellent 7.5

Anyone know if it is possible to migrate the content of the University Complutense of MADRID 10 G (10.1.3.51) to Stellent 7.5.2? Thank you!

Archiver has not changed too much between 7.5 and 10 g. He main difference in my opinion, is the ability to migrate tables as well as the content.

If you move just happy, then it might be easier to import it into an external collection. You must run archive in stand-alone mode (not web applets), and then an additional button appears when you open an external collection. You can ' go local ' to browse the file system. If you mount the directory 10g of system 7.5, you can open the archives/collections.hda 10g file in the box of 7.5. Then you can import that you checked out of the box of 10 g.

But really... Why do? Would rather just move the content from 7,5 to 10g system? Or a new system of 11g? 10g is almost 10 years...

  • How can I migrate content from file system to webcenter content using inbound refinery?

    Hello

How can I move content 'Webcenter content' using Refinery Inboundfile system? There is a lot of content in my system, I want to go to "Content Server" using inbound refinery.

How can I reach it? Is it possible to do this? If this is not possible using inbound refinery, so how can I do this?

    I use 11.1.1.6 version.

    Help, please.

    Concerning

    REDA

    Hi reda,.

First - incoming refinery isn't real resources whose content is ingested in the content server. 'S done it by Webcenter Content server that holds / process of all content items.

IBR is only used for the conversion of 1 format to PDF documents (and some others).

So, in your case, you must first set up a content server and then install Desktop Integration Suite customer on your physical machine. In this place, you can drag-and - drop all the content of the file system to the content server.

  • Move contents from the old PC to new PC

Which is simplest and cleanest way to migrate all the content from my old PC (XP) to my new PC with Windows 8.1. Microsoft says it's to make a download available from Laplink (PCMover Express). This downloaded software will do the job if I connect the PC again to my router / FIOS network via an Ethernet cable and make the transfer of PC to PC over the network, or it would be more efficient to use the Laplink USB cable by buying their software?

It depends on what you mean by "everything."

In general, it is easy to move data files (e.g. documents, pictures, music, etc.) between machines, and if the machines are all connected to the same network, the copy on the network is the best way to accomplish the move (it is always prudent to copy, check the computer to see if everything is fine, and then delete the old computer instead of moving that automatically deletes the original files).

Some applications, such as Microsoft Windows Easy Transfer, move the 'parameters' as well as data.  For the most part, this includes things like the customizations of office and similar customizations; It may also include the "Favorites" browser, music playlists and so on.  These 'settings' are really more data files, but they are located in more obscure places and the average user probably don't know the files to move or where they need to go.

In general, you can not move the programs (applications).  These must be reinstalled (assuming they are compatible with the new version of Windows) using the original installation media (CD, DVD, downloaded the Setup file).  PCMover of Laplink, however, claims to be able to move the programs.  I've never used this product and I saw mixed reviews.  So if you either don't have installation media for your programs or you don't want to go through the resettlement process, read the reviews and decide if you want to take a chance on this program.

Whether you use the USB owner or your network, apparently PCMover will work with both.  The main difference will be the transfer speed, and this will depend on the type of network you have and the type of USB connection available.  Typical home networks now have a theoretical maximum throughput of 100 Mbps.  USB 2.0 has a theoretical maximum of 480 Mbps.  Gigabit networks are faster and so are USB 3.0 connections (although I think would be that does not support the USB Laplink USB 3.0 cable).  Here's what a 2010 review had to say on this subject:

With an external hard drive, USB2, we found it took about four hours to travel 30 GB of data, and beyond 100 Mbps Ethernet the same charge took more than a day of solid copy. Your best bet is a Gigabit LAN (if you have one) or the cable USB Laplink, which should in theory work around twice as fast as an external drive.

  • What is a substitute for the migration assistant? I tried in vain for three hours to migrate files from a macbook pro to each other so that even if connected with the ethernet cable the computers never see each other.

You can connect otherwise?  USB or FireWire or love at first sight?  You can connect both machines and start the one you want to transfer to target disk mode.  If your other machine is up and running with an account on it and you just want to move files, you can simply drag and drop the FRO the machine mounted TDM, or you can use the migration wizard.

Or, if the other machine still starts and runs, you can start both computers and connect to the same wifi network and share the hard drive like machines on the network.  Access them in the finder on the new machine files and drag-and - drop, or use the wizard migration, on wifi.

  • When Web pages contain mixed content, does (or can) Firefox block content from sources not secure?

When secure Web (those using SSL) pages contain content from sources non - SSL, Internet Explorer 8 and 9 ask if you want to show only the content that has been delivered safely. I could not find a prompt similar to Firefox. I know three possible explanations:
1 Firefox offers no protection against the mixed content. I hope that this is not the case!
2 Firefox has a setting that I have not found.
3 Firefox can offer protection but in a different way than Internet Explorer.

Firefox is not and can not block content through an unsecured connection to come in this case, but you can get a warning.

The settings for warning messages have been removed from the UI (Bug 513166).

You must change preferences related security.warn_* directly on the topic: config page.

What is the best strategy to migrate data from Windows to one Mac to another? I use Parallels Desktop to run Windows on my current Mac but want to use Bootcamp on my new.

If it is only the data (not apps) I use Dropbox. It turned out to be the best way to move things between the side Mac and the bootcamped Windows of my iMac side. I don't see why it would not work to move data from a virtual machine installation of Win to a BootCamp installation.

  • How can I transfer content from ipod classic to ipod shuffle?

My ipod classic does not work well (Won't hold a charge and jumps songs) therefore replaced with an ipod shuffle.  Problem is that I loaded most of the content from a CD to an old computer, which I still have access.  My iTunes on my new computer account does not include any content; recently purchased content.  How can I get all the content (imported, old and new purchases) in one place so that I can sync again shuffle, multiple iphones and even the classic ipod (can't let go)?  Do I have to reload all the CD?  Thanks in advance for the help.

You move the files of the song on the new computer via an external drive, network or disk target mode(Macs only) and then import them into iTunes to this topic.

  • I'm trying to migrate data from a server to a new one with the file permissions of the files of users and records lost.

    original title: robocopy

I'm trying to migrate data from a server to a new one with the file permissions of the files of users and records lost. So far, that's what I did, I used \\server1\share \\server2\share/sec /mir robocopy and robocopy \\server1\share \\serve2\share/e/s /copyall. It seams like they copied all files with the permissions of the user for the files, but not files. For example, if a user makes a folder with the files in the folder appear them have permissions appropriate for them but not the root folder or subfolders, they did... How can I fix this and what is the difference between / s /mir and/e/s /copyall?

  • Error message "unable to copy the file"hiberfil", it is used by another person or program." Problem copying content from your PC to external hard drive.

Original title: problem to copy content from your PC to external hard drive.

I use Windows XP 2000 and am trying to restore my pc to factory settings as it is continuously 'stick '. When you try to copy my drive "c" on an external drive I get a message saying "unable to copy the file"hiberfil", it is used by another person or program." Close any program that might be using the file and try again "." What is 'hiberfil' and how do I close it down as I am not aware that I use?

    Concerning

    Pete

The hiberfil.sys will be created every time that you start... If you put in hibernation enabled in your control panel, Power Options and the file is 'open' to think that you can actually choose to Hibernate at any given time.  When you Hibernate XP gives a note of it and will write a hiberfil.sys sometimes important in the c:\ folder so that when XP fires again upwards and returns from hibernation, XP will read the hiberfil.sys file and return to the situation that you were in when you put into hibernation.

I use to be a chronic hibernant because it takes less time to return after hibernation as a cold start.  Sometimes, it can actually be slower that a cold so start your system based on the amount of RAM has.  The more RAM you have, the more your hiberfil.sys will, if sometimes it's faster to move with just a cold start if you Hibernate (26,03 seconds for me).

If hiberfil.sys is giving you a hard time (you would not in any way copy it) disable hibernation in your Power Options and the file will be deleted immediately since it would be is no longer necessary.  That would solve this, but if you are trying to copy the entire C drive, you will have other files to complain after that.

It is certainly possible to make a complete copy of the C drive, if you want, but you will have to initialize on something next to your drive hard if you want to do this so the XP files are not used - then you can copy anything and everything.  You can get some imaging software of disc that will also help you.

It depends on what the problem is you want to solve and what you wand to end up with when you're done (so far, unspecified).

I would work on figure our why your XP is paste and fix it in place.  XP should not be sticky.

  • How to migrate code from one environment to another in the MFT 12 c

    Hi all

How to migrate code from one environment to another in the MFT 12 c.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Tilquin.

MFT has t2p plugin that can be used to migrate the metadata for production test.

There is an export option in the transfer page in the MFT UI that can be used to export metadata data transfer.

This exported zip can be imported in any other environment after making the necessary changes.

  • How to display the scroll bar on every page of the tab where the content from the same block of data?

    Hi gurus,

Is it possible to display the scroll bar on each tab on Web tab page where the display of content from the same block of data?

    for example:

    Block of data elements used:

    1. employee ID

    2. first name

    3 first name

    4 date of hire

scroll bar appears on the page 1

    5 salary

    6 commission

scroll bar appears on page 2

    Many thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Ferrere

    Dear fendy_chang,

A data block can have only 1 scroll bar. If the form is for display purpose, you can create several data bloks that points to the same table for each tab.

  • install Oracle 12 c and migrate data from 9i to 12 c on Solaris

HI: this is a primary control to check IAM step by step.  I need to migrate the server Oracle 9i (Solaris) to 12 c (Solaris) to the customer request. I have the instruction of installation YES from the team, the draft plan is:

    1. install Oracle 12 c binary on Solaris Server

    2 exp/imp, method to move data to 12 c 9i.

Should I create a database "empty" by script until I use the exp/imp method to migrate data from 9i?  Or, is it better to use the option 'create the single database instance' in YES during the installation of 12 c, then exp/imp?  How about the "plug-in database" or the "CBD/PDB' concept to 12 c?  It's still new and I am not master familiar with it, that I have to use all "CBD/PDB' 12 c or not?

Any problem that I need to know?

    Thank you very much!

You have your point of disagreement, but it is the best approach of guys Upgrade Oracle, google for Mike Dietrich blogs on updates. And your concern that make upgrades does not allow you to practice, well, you could easily make a few tests on my upgrade on a test environment, I really don't agree with your point here...

Sorry - but I agree with the ground.

Anyone who still uses 9i has some questions SERIOUS architecture dealing with totally outside the DB and data. There is just too much features auxiliary available (e.g., ASM, GRID, EM) which did NOT exist in 9i or substantially changed.

It is also a non-starter, IMHO, not to recommend as an upgrade to 11g without even knowing the 9i version that uses OP. A direct upgrade to 11g is NOT possible since the first versions of 9i. So if such a version uses OP they couldn't make a direct upgrade anyway. They will need first to upgrade to the last version 9i and then level it to 11g. Then, they should adapt to 12 c.

Then you must take account of the need for BACKUP:

    1. PRIOR to starting to do something

    2. AFTER the upgrade to 9.2.04

    3. AFTER the upgrade to 11 g

    4. AFTER the upgrade to 12 c

Compare that to the approach of that ground is recommended to use export/import. There is NO need to save the source DB at all since the process will NOT change. Simply a backup after upgrading to 12 c.

  • How to migrate data from a source to multiple targets (tables)?

How to migrate data from a source to multiple targets (tables)? Describe the General steps, please or point me to a tutorial

Yes, a table in a mapping element can be source and target at the same time (i.e. a target can be reused as a source for the rest of the map on the right side of the table).

Don't forget to check the order of loading (in the property map), to ensure that the reused as source is loaded before the final table target table.

I tested it and it works. However, the documentation is not said in the link I gave you above:

"Each element of data store that has entries but no exits in the logical diagram is considered a target."

Usually, I tend not to do. I am in favour of a Divide and Conquer approach and try to have my mapping as simple as possible. It is easier to debug and maintain.

  • When I generate the table of contents from a new .book, I get blank pages between each page of the table of contents

With FrameMaker 2015. When I generate the table of contents from a new .book, I get blank pages between each page of the table of contents, they are totally blank does not even a block of text. I click on Add> autonomous Create TOC. I keep the default settings. And that's what I'm left with.

    TOC Frame 2015 small.png

I can get rid of them by special> Delete page. But I never had to do before the 2015 version. I tried with older files generated in frame 10. same thing. If someone has encountered this?

Master Pages are part of each document.

You can import master pages from another document (i.e. a ' model') in your current document using the file > import > Formats... option and select layout from the list (deselect all others).

If you have changed the current TOC for the problem of the Page Master on the left, then simply save the file and use the Edit > update book option for that OCD regenerated by using the new page templates.
