Missing icons on the toolbar State system after having killed explorer.exe

Hello

I found a possible problem with explorer.exe

Here's the thing

I had a lot of apps minimized in the system tray

I killed explorer.exe from the task (just to avoid end the session) Manager

When I started explorer.exe once again, these applications on the system tray where gonne.

I could see their processes from the Task Manager running, but I couldn't get them.

Someone had this problem? or is this a known problem?

Just in case, a process has been my modem ZTE connection manager and the other was java (running jdownloader)

Thank you very much

PS: My English is not very good so sorry if I mistaked something

Hello
This isn't the fault of explorer.exe. The problem you are having is because the application does not know to put its icon in the Explorer system tray.

Edit...

... because he never had the signal that explore was closing (finished it) and the program is not wasting cycles (little) CPU to see if it is in the taskbar. When Explorer restarts, programs can be launched again, but if they were still running, they could not call their function to insert their new icon in the taskbar. You will find that other good programs to behave in fact it automatically.

  • Microsoft Security Center icon in the toolbar State but deleted program. How to remove it?

I use a HP Pavilion a1510n, XP Home Edition, Media Center Version 2002 Sv Pk 3 AMD 64 Oricessir 869 MB of RAM.  Recently loaded Skype and Explorer 8.

I removed my Microsoft of their Security Center security bases a couple of weeks and installed Malwarebytes' Anti Malware 1.51.2.1300.

I had reinstalled Microsoft security essentials and when the program began to run, there were two icons in the status bar... a 'protected' with indicator showing green and others a red shield with a white "x" inside... I was never able to remove this red shield of the plateau.

I looked everywhere I know, research, program files Windows, etc, but I can't find anywhere on the computer where every bit of this program are still installed. I now use only Malwarebytes... I understand it should only run an anti-virus/malware both program.

If anyone can help me get this icon off my tray it will be appreciated... Thank you all...

In the run box, type: msconfig and click OK. On the Startup tab, go to:  msseces and uncheck the box. Under the Services tab scrolling in the: Microsoft Antimalware Service and uncheck the box. Click on apply, click OK. Restart your computer.

When the computer reboots, put a checkmark in the box not to get the popup again.

If these two lack the startup and control services: Control Panel, administrative tools, Services. Scroll up to: Microsoft Antimalware Service double click it and change the type of boot to disabled, click OK.

If there is no entry in the Services or the icon does not go far, follow these steps.

In the run box, type: regedit and navigate to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    \SOFTWARE
    \Microsoft
    \Windows
    \CurrentVersion
    \Explorer
    \TrayNotify

Click on the Board to notify and right-click on icon stream and click on delete. Restart your computer.

Don't worry all other status bar icons are coming back.

When I'm accommodating the toolbar of the new option to arrange the icons on the toolbar toolbar change several tools come with the words "wrong tool" and have no icon associated with them. What are these missing tools 'bad '?

I see you have fixed this now, but I was about to tell you that you could have accommodated in the 'Bad' by its shortcut "I" tool.

To save a custom toolbar, get everything the way you want and click on the button space work, click new workspace

Type a name for the workspace, and check all three options.

If I have to use a single screen, I use a variant of the Essentials workspace with minor panels collapsed and dock for main panels.  I call this Essentials 2

It also seems to me that with all these options, it's stupid not to take full advantage of them, so I separate my most used instruments for their own group and double column toolbar to adjust the screen.  I tried to drop in the groups for the most used tool near the document image (right). I love it, but it take some time remembering the new positions.

  • Windows 7 crashes - blue screen is displayed when the mouse is flown over IE icon in the toolbar

    Hello

I was struck with a weird problem.  I have a laptop Dell Inspiron N4110 with Windows 7 64-bit Home Basic.

The laptop was working fine until last year.   The problem arises as below

    1. Open the IE or Google Chrome browser.  After that I open this browser I am able to browse Web sites, etc., using Wi - Fi and Datacard connection without any problems.
    2. I reduce the window IE or Chrome
    3. I move the mouse over the icon in the toolbar to maximize still IE.  Windows crashes and I get a blue screen.
    4. This behavior is replicable n number of times.
    5. Also, I believe that the accident occurred when I try to use the button left of the mouse and not the right button

I raised an issue with Dell technical support that the laptop is still under warranty and that they were not able to help and asked me to contact MS to solve this problem.  I did the following, but of no use.

    1. Installed Avast Antivirus to scan the entire file system.  Previously, I had Kaspersky, but the license has expired.  There is no infection reported in any of the two.
    2. I used Malwarebytes to find malware.  Once again clean.
    3. I uninstalled the recent windows and Office updates, once again no help.
    4. As recommended by Dell support, I have updated Bios video driver drivers USB etc, but no help again.
    5. I removed the RAM cleaned and replaced but that was of no help again.  I replaced my defective existing of 4 GB of RAM with a 2 GB of RAM, thinking it could be a RAM.  It also did not help.
    6. I ran Chkdsk f and carefully checked for repair bad sectors, etc.,.

Need help Urgent technicians of M/S on it.  It's really frustrating, and I don't know if this frequent crashes corrupt my hard drive.

I think that just installing the new driver should solve the problem.  Let us know.

  • How can I change an icon on the toolbar

I must confess not that I've been a user of default Firefox for some time. Have recently changed to a 64-bit (Windows 8) op system and the only 64-bit browser, I don't see in the Nightly version.

The regret I have find the icons in the toolbar very bland and want to change some of them to my custom icons, but can not find how to do this. Custom toolbars can be created or modified, but can not change icon.

Pointers, tips, tips or advice would be welcome. Also have tried looking for browser.css, but can not find.

    Thanks in advance

  • My volume icon in the toolbar at the bottom is suddenly gone. How can I get that back?

I think that my computer was not well.  It is a Dell laptop (Inspiron 1525).  Recently, the power icon in the toolbar at the bottom is clear instead of his usual green color (which indicates that it is 'empty').  But when I click it, it says that it is 100% loaded.  And now, today, my volume icon in the toolbar at the bottom has dissappeared.  What happens and how can I fix those two things?

    Hi Kittyotis,

This is the repair procedure: I recommend method 3: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/106787-notification-area-system-icons.html.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Hi penn,.

Please try and reset the Photoshop preferences to default.

To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

In addition, let us know the version of operating system that you are using now.

Let us know if that helps.

  • icons on the toolbar (Messaging, quickfilter etc.) are not in color

Mozilla Thunderbird, the toolbar icons are simply not in colour.

The deletion is not red... they are all just... austere black.

Color helps recognize that the function involved by the icon easier I think.
But the belief is not the same as knowledge and I'm not a fundamentalist of the color.

icons on the toolbar (Messaging, quickfilter etc.) are not in color

I guess the color black and white icons of the toolbar is intentionally in the current default theme.

The file is called "button.dtd" and is located in the buttons.xpi toolbar / chrome / button.jar / local / en - us.

I edited the text, replace the .dtd file in button.jar, updated the button.jar file in the as file and reinstalled.
