MISSING ifconfig eth0 eth0 Link encap HWaddr LAN:eth2

Hi team!

I have a problem with the installation of the Cisco virtual driver in a server vmware UCS (be6k).

In all packages (conductor, expressays), I have the same alarm, saying: hardware failure:

LACK of LAN:eth2 ifconfig eth0 eth0 Link encap HWaddr 00: 0C: fallen 29:F9:51:8 B BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 metric: 1 RX packets: 0 errors: 0:0 overruns: 0 frame: 0 drop of TX packets: 0 errors: 0:0 overruns: 0 carrier: 0 collisions: 0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes: 0 (0.0 b) TX bytes: 0 (0.0 b) ifconfig eth0 rc 0 ifconfig eth1 to eth1 Link encap HWaddr 00 : 0C: fallen 29:F9:51:95 BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 metric: 1 RX packets: 0 errors: 0:0 overruns: 0 frame: 0 fall of TX packets: 0 errors: 0:0 overruns: 0 carrier: 0 collisions: 0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes: 0 (0.0 b) TX bytes: 0 (0.0 b) ifconfig eth1 rc 0 ifconfig eth2 eth2: information interface read error: device not found ifconfig eth2 rc 1

How to solve this issue properly?

Thank you very much for your help!

Installation of the conductor and the OVAs Highway should include all required local networks.  If you connect to VMWare, you see 3 available for each virtual computer LANs?  Looking through the search for bugs, it seems that sometimes this error can appear if the hardware installed on the virtual machine is not compatible, see CSCuv33488.

  • How can I get rid of a 'server' missing for a long time on my LAN?

    At the same time I ran two iMacs for years, then sold one and replaced it with a Mac Pro, which I put the iMac remaining network. Then, I sold the second iMac, leaving only the Mac Pro. Now the Mac Pro trying to start to connect, like a faithful dog, with the missing iMac. The ' problem connecting to e.g., iMac.local "appears at three or four times in the first 15 minutes after the start. How can I get rid of him? So far I've tried: Finder/go/connect to Server / (unsubscribe);  Finder/Prefs/General / (uncheck attached servers). /(Uncheck all) Finder/Prefs/Panel side Shared. There is no evidence of the iMac in my articles or connection options. I had rather not potchke around the code, but nothing has stopped so far. Any ideas? The Mac Pro runs El Capitan 10.11.6.

    It can be a little painful to figure out what piece of history triggered attempts to mount. Try to use Console.app to inspect the system log at the time the dialog box is displayed to see if it gives you a clue as to what process makes the attempt.

    Otherwise, delete all items in connection (unchecking them is not enough, remove them from the list) you have and see if the problem goes away. If so, divide and conquer to understand that it was responsible.

  • Computer of LAN ping

    Hello

    I have two PCs:

    the one with windows 7, vmware workstation and opensuse 11.3 mounted in it.

    I ping to these: inet addr:142.167.18.168 Bcast:142.167.17.255 of the other pc, but none of these work.

    How can I solve this?

    Thank you...

    What IP subnet is the host for help, is this 142.167.18.0?  If not then the VM networks are set to NAT or host-only and must be paid to bridged.  Also, if the host is no longer a physical NIC, you need to turn auto fill in the virtual network editor and select the NIC target

    In other words, you want the virtual machines to be a peer on the local physical network and changing the settings of VM in Bridged network will do.

    Note also, in addition to using Bridged keep in mind that the firewall on the host and the guest may need to be configured to allow connectivity between them and if necessary be temporarily disable all Firewalls, AntiVirus and security software on the host and the guest when troubleshooting problems of connectivity and re - activate in a logical manner to determine if one are causing problems of connectivity between them.

But the rac-scan ip is only the ping to the dns server requests and not pings Server rac1.  This will be no problem if the dns server running on 32-bit and rac nodes running on the 64-bit server? Please let me know if I miss anything here. Thanks again.

    Is it possible that this could happen because it's a wireless interface?

    I use the latest version of java jre + jdk:
    C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin > java.exe - version
    Java version "1.6.0_18.
    Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_18 - b07)
    Java for 64-bit Server VM (build 16, 0 - b13, mixed mode)

    I also tried with 32-bit jre + jdk, but the result was the same.
    On another system of Win 7 x 64 it worked with a wired interface.

    Moreover, it is a nice tool for java development ;-)

    Not even close. Did you google 'dhcp '?
    See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Host_Configuration_Protocol

    In short, DHCP is a method by which an IP address is assigned to a computer dynamically - especially at the start of the server, but can also be reset on a running system. Isn't a good thing for a server machine, because the client process will never be able to find it.

    You want your servers to have a fixed IP address.

  • VM network interfaces

    Hi all

    I'm banging my head. I have installed VM Workstation on my windows 2003 64 - bit PC. I also installed VMTools

    I installed Redhat on the side of the virtual machine.

    My network is 192.168.0.50 to 192.168.0.100

    for some reason, the VM has set up many different networks like 192.169.19.130 etc...

    I don't want to use, I want to use my 192.168.0.50 to 192.168.0.100 range and be able to ping back and fourth of my true operating system on my virtual computer.

    I think I messed up something.  I just want to use eth0, it's everything. I don't need the other interfaces.

    What can I do to restore the ability to ping and the true operating system VM commnicate?

    Don't forget that I've screwed around the virtual network adapter. I should of asked help b4 I screwed up things. I would appericate if anyone can help me get back on track

    Thank you

    Wow, I'm sure is glad you posted this because networking with in my VMware Workstation has been problematic.   Not so much to do outside NET that I've been using multiple interfaces, but the connection and communication between virtual machines has been problematic.  Is there something in the manual that you can suggest that I may have missed?   I have NAT had all the virtual machine and it seems to work a little on my personal system, but on my business system in the office - no dice.  Both are HP laptops and two of the virtual machine are the same.  I tried to imitate my settings on the virtual network editor but the end upward with IP conflict on two of the virtual machines in the office.

    Broad suggestions as to where I might start troubleshooting would be great.

    Analysis of RHEL, if the only metric does not accumulate you is info network, you must first make sure that account permissions are sufficient to allow RHEL to give you data on the network.  Try to change the account that you collect with an equivalent of root and then see if you get the data you need.

    This is a 'feature' in RHEL, not a limitation of Foglight.

  • VCSA 5.5u3d setup wizard error (single sign-ON)

    Nice day.

    I got an error message when you deploy vcsa in the start (in step "Configuration of SSO") Assistant:

    Cannot run ' / usr/sbin/vpxd_servicecfg "sso" 'writing' "embedded" CENSORSHIP CENSORSHIP "typed-pass": "

    VC_CFG_RESULT = 702 (error: an unexpected error occurred during the installation of the SINGLE of the device authentication service.) Please put together a support group and file a service request)

    I've seen a lot of discussions about this error, and in almost all cases, the resolution is the correct dns resoving. Here is the output of vcsa itself:

    So, as you can see there is no problem with the resolution of FQDN.

    If I try to configure PASS-THROUGH authentication in the web interface and not through the wizard, I got the error without name, however the result of the test of the SSO settings is OK.

    Any ideas?

    Ok then. The problem is resolved.

    I took the other version of the VCSA (5.5u3b instead of 5.5u3d), done the same things as before, but also I noticed that there is no option 'domain' dans/etc/resolv.conf, so I added it. All the steps I did:

    1. Add "domain uitisk.local" for the short name resolution.

    2 disable ipv6 (in/etc/sysconfig/sysctl)

    3. change the time zone to VCSA to redevelop link to/etc/localtime

    4. fix the time synchronization ESXi on which VCSA is deployed.

    I guess the main step is the 1.

  • Internet comments works the machine randomly

    I have a problem with the internet connection in my VMWare guest computer works very randomly (for the most part does not work) and I'm not sure of what could be the issue.

    Sometimes the internet works (this also includes option to ssh to the host), but most of the time it doesn't.

    "Networking" restarting does not help, nor any how 'ifdown' /'ifup "s. The only situation when he could start work is restart the entire virtual machine. And even then it starts to work maybe once in 10.

    The single issue so far, I've noticed is that when it does not, the MAC addresses of the NICs VM are swapped - so if it works, they are configured.

    Here I see the only difference - MAC addresses are on the other hand, compared to their configuration.

    When the internet works:

    -of the prompt, ping 192.168.195. * all works very well (. 200,.2-1)

    -the host, I ping (. 1) and guest (. 200),.2 ping gives me the error of"request timed out".

    When it does not work:

    -from the prompt I can ping myself (192.168.195.200), but ping any other * 192.168.195 (.2 ou.1) gives me the error «Host unreachable home» Even when the rattling of the internet (for example 8.8.4.4)

    -from the host, I can ping myself (192.168.195.1), but ping any other * 192.168.195 (.2 ou.200) gives me the error of"request timed out".

    No idea why this could happen, and what else I could try?

    Thank you!

    Hi maciejzz

    Welcome to the Fusion community

    It seems that your network card is not properly configured.

    ethernet0.startConnected = 'TRUE '.

    ethernet0.VNET = "vmnet2.

    ethernet0.bsdName = 'en0 '.

    ethernet0. DisplayName = "Wireless connection"

    This section shows your VM should be in the bridged network. But,

    ethernet0. Present = 'TRUE '.

    ethernet0. ConnectionType = "nat".

    ethernet0.wakeOnPcktRcv = "FALSE".

    ethernet0. AddressType = 'static '.

    ethernet0.linkStatePropagation.enable = "FALSE".

    ethernet0.pciSlotNumber = "33".

    ethernet0. Address = "00:50:56:38:CC:21".

    It shows that you are in NAT network.

    If you please remove your "ethernet0"? First of all you should turn off your virtual machine, and then the VM settings-> network-> advanced card-> remove the network card, and then add a new by VM-> Add Device settings-> network? If you want your virtual machine to use '00:50:56:38:CC:21' as MAC address, you can set it up the network-> Advanced Network card, then enter the MAC to textfield. When this process is complete, turn on your virtual machine and see if your problem is resolved.
