missing installation-C:\Windows\system32\HPZidr12.dll file

HP 1510 all in one deskjet, Windows 7 32-bit, the recent upgrade Vista to Win 7.

I noticed Solution Center HP indicated that my printer has been disconnected. I've been checking the ink levels, printer was working fine.

As indicated, I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Software seems installed and the printer works. However during installation, I received installation and error message missing C:\Windows\system32\HPZidr12.dll would not be completed. To the left of this Wrapper message was Dot repair 4. Solution Center said HP is disconnected and no pages test works because the laptop and printer are not connected.

Sorry it took so long to resolve. Finally, I have installed the file, ran the installation wizard with no luck. I ran the HP Print Scan doctor who says things were OK, still nothing. So ran the patch to Win7 and everything is now recognized.

    This could be the result of a corrupt / missing hal.dll file or boot.ini file. You have your windows disc? If so, follow the instructions below. If you do not have your windows disk click HERE to create a disc of windows recovery console.

    1. Use the Windows XP CD to start your computer.
    2. When you receive the message to press R to repair Windows by using the Recovery Console, press the R key.
    3. Select the Windows installation that you want, and then type the administrator password when you are prompted.
    4. Type bootcfg/Rebuild, and then press ENTER.
    5. When the Windows installation is located, the following instructions are displayed:
      Add installation to boot list? (Yes/no/all)
      [Type Y in response to this message.]

      Enter load identifier:
      [This is the name of the operating system. Type Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home Edition].

      Enter operating system load options:
      Leave this field blank, and then press ENTER.

    I am running windows xp sp2, and my system no longer recognizes my cd/dvd ROM. I tried using microsoft 'Fix It', but it says I need to run service pack 3. During the download of update I get error SP3, the file c:\windows\system32\comctl.dll is open or in use by another application. All the closed only apps.are execution update for sp3.   The cd/dvd ROM error says file in the registry is missing or corrupted. I'm stuck. Anyone know what I can do?

    I am slot as Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 3.  6.1.7601 OS version (Win 7 RTM).

    This file does: C:\Windows\System32\RpcRtRemote.dll, come from Microsoft?

    The file 'RpcRtRemote.dll' is continually popping up as a "bad Image" to start Windows.  After checking the updates from Microsoft, I ran Microsoft Security Essentials, and nothing has been reported, quarantined or deleted.  I manually check all the different types of updates available, twice a day (morning and evening), by using the Windows Update Application.  If NO update is available, I download and install it immediately.

    Now, Windows is not yet put into operation, and I get the famous 'blue screen '.  The information reads, in part: "technical information: * STOP 0x0000007B (0x80786B50, 0xC00000034, 0x00000000 0x00000000).  I can't sent the "blue screen" or "System Recovery Options" Windows.

    With my laptop older, I have studied many download sites "*.dll" allowing users to download replacement files "*.dll", but I do not trust all of them... at all.  The RpcRtRemote.dll file is listed in some of these sites, but I will not access them for reasons that I have with the ability to download malicious software.  Should I delete this file? or it's a critical Windows system file?

    Can you, or someone, please confirm this for me? or can someone help me please what to do in response to the above mentioned "0x0000007B" error code?

    I ran two of ' Microsoft Windows approved commercial scanner, check disk (chkdsk), and System File Check (sfc).  Both commercial scanners do not detect or return what whether negative... at least, that I can tell.

    Welcome to the Microsoft community. I see that you are getting the blue screen on the Windows 7 computer. I'll help you with this problem.

    You have only one SP 1 for Windows 7 and for Win XP SP 3. Please confirm which operating system is installed?

    The latest version of windows is Windows 8 and Windows 7 RTM is not in use anymore. Veuileez clarify.

    It is sometimes easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem by simply deleting the startup message.
    I would also not recommend you start digging in the registry to try to find the startup item and remove it unless you have a backup of your system or at least a backup of your registry, because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
    These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom if they not even work at all, but they can't actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.  You don't need to try ideas that might work, you must do something that will always work all the time.
    Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
    If you do not have a good explanation for the name of the file in a Google search, the chances are good that your system is currently or has been infected by malware.
    A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
    It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
    Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
    So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.

    I got free ZoneAlarm installed on my Windows Vista PC for 2 months and I uninstalled it properly via the control panel. When I tried to re - install the installation failed and the message shown: c:\windows\system32\vsutil.dll file is missing error #1603. I retried several times and also removed ZoneAlarm with a special tool for removal with no result.

    operating windows xp professional on a dell dimension e520 with 32-bit processor.  am trying to download pictures from a Canon powershot a570 is, and I get the error message is "the c:\windows\system32\ptpusd.dll file on [unknown] is necessary.  type the path where the file is located, and then click ok. "I've uninstalled all Canon software and followed the manufacturer's instructions to install it again.  the error continues to display.

    measures taken so far: I rebooted the computer SEVERAL times, cleaning directory of running applications, directions of command-line attempts without success (sfc/scannow...)  -everything I could think of before you purchase software.

    nothing has worked so far and I've invested several hours in the effort.

    This problem occurs if the camera uses the standard Microsoft Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) to transfer the photos to the computer.     Hi everyone, my fathers laptop crashed yesterday and since then he was able to start and the following message appears

    If the c:\windows\system32\odbcint.dll file is missing, you see a message like this:

    User Interface failure
    The logon User Interface DLL msgina.dll failed to load.
    Contact your system administrator to replace the DLL or restore the original DLL.

    There is a button to click to restart, which when clicked, takes a while to reboot the system.

    If the c:\windows\system32\odbcint.dll file is corrupted, you will see a message like this:

    Winlogon.exe - bad Image
    The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\odbcint.dll is not a valid Windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.

    By clicking OK twice, you will see the message above about the failure of User Interface.

    There will be events in the case where the viewing Application log that look like this:

    You should figure out what happened to get into this situation and respond to the following questions, then decide which is the best plan:

    What is your system brand and model?

    Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

    You have recently installed any type of remote control software?

    Now to fix it depends on how you are fixed to the boot media, since you'll have to start on something.

    We know that XP likes to keep the backup copies of critical system files in this folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

    Knowing this, start in Recovery Console XP using your genuine XP bootable installation CD or if you have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, you can make one (no XP media required).  If you don't know what type of bootable media, you, do a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console and do not forget.

    If Yes, you want and are not in possession of a genuine XP bootable installation CD or a CD from Recovery Console XP bootable, the instructions to create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console can / will be provided before any questioning begins.

    You can replace the missing file or suspect the XP Recovery Console by entering the following command:

    Copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\odbcint.dll c:\windows\system32

    Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been copied.

    If you get some type of a file not found message, the file is easily replaced using other methods.

    Remove the CD and type "exit" at the Recovery Console prompt to restart the system.

    Do, or do not. There is no test.

    I can't comment on your pc max speed problem, but you can solve your problem by reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers.

    Here are my instructions standard copy/paste of the JKB1687 article for your reading pleasure:

    If you are using an NVIDIA video system (whether on the motherboard or a supplement), the installation of the NVIDIA software added one or more startup items to launch the NVIDIA Control Panel.  They are set to launch and run whenever your system boots.

    If it worked before and you have made some system updates lately, something is messed up with it or your system has an affliction of malware.

    To see what commands look like, click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msconfig

    Click OK to start the System Configuration utility, and then click the Startup tab to display the startup items.  You may need to drag the autour columns to see things better and like msconfig isn't a Boot Manager (this is a troubleshooting tool) you can't "make of the display is wider.

    Items with check box will be launched automatically once XP restarts.  With the checkbox elements are still "installed" but not set to start automatically every time you start XP.

    The NVIDIA partners start lines see you in msconfig Startup tab will look something like this:

    RunDLL32.exe C:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll, NvStartup
    RunDLL32.exe C:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll, NvTaskbarInit

    If the C:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll or C:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll files are missing somehow corrupted, inconsistent, out of date or wrong versions (maybe), when NVIDIA applications trying to launch, messages can appear like this (or even complain):

    Rundll32.exe - bad Image
    The application of the DLL c:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll is not a valid Windows image.   Please check this against your installation diskette.

    RUNDLL
    Error loading c:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll
    %1 is not a valid Win32 application

    If you don't think you use the NVIDIA Control Panel, you could simply disable the items is msconfig to prevent it to launch when you start your computer.  If you use Control Panel NVIDIA, deactivation of the elements and will leave your system without (perhaps not a good thing) NVIDIA Control Panel.

    You could just go ahead and disable the startup items in msconfig (deactivation does not uninstall anything), restart your system and understand the functioning of your system.  If things get worse, you can rerun msconfig and reactivate the NVIDIA elements, but I hope that you will not want to fix things the right way.

    Disabling items in msconfig is not really fix things and you will not have a NVIDIA Control Panel, but some people don't know what the NVIDIA Control Panel looks so can be good.  You will have stopped the message from popping up every time you start.

    If you want to use the features of NVIDIA Control Panel, you must repair or reinstall your NVIDIA software.

    The best way to reinstall the NVIDIA software is to visit NVIDIA support web page and let your system and recommend the best software for your system or that you get the right version of the software on their web page and download the latest package of video driver for your system software and install it yourself.

    It is recommended to run the scan NVIDIA with Internet Explorer.

    Read the instructions, and then click the GRAPHICS DRIVERS button to start the scan.

  • SP1 crashes with c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll

    Op - sys Vista Home pre.
    After D-load of SP1 (MS web site... updated wasn't) started the installation. Took the time to run EXTREME. I haven't watched the process, but noted that, in a reboot, the computer (laptop HP, AMD tru. 64, 2 GB ram 160 GB HDD - 85 GB free) seemed to be hung while activating or ongoing enforcement of the estarted and watched all the intermittent processes... until... ALL collapsed when the c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll file has been reached. the screen showed this:

    !! 0xC 0000022! 810/67181 (c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll)

    Whenever during the same interruption of startup. Then I thought that I could boot into safe mode, a copy of the file from another computer (laptop) just rename the old file (or which may have been part of the update), then copy in the same directory, reboot and everything would be good in the lands of the greyknight.  But..................................

    I couldn't get to win on the desktop. Solution Explorer. Then I rebooted and used F8 to get a menu and choose Mode without failure. Given that I had a copy of the file on a USB stick (1 GB) c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll I have pluged in there during post and watched the process. This time I got a message the waqs there is no system disk insert and press a key. So I have... .pressed the any key.

    Interesting the SP1 update resumes at step 3 of 3. I have not watched the process of steps 1 and 2 (it was like watching paint dry). When you have finished part 3 I was taken in the section connection and do zip! There was the office. I did what I should have done before and copied all the files which means nothing to me and the rest of the world on my 250 GB USB key and again my 500 GB ext.

    Now as I mentioned above, I tried to simply rename the old file, then copy the other file in the same directory, restart and all would be well in the land of the greyknight.  But..................................

    Alas, it was not, the file on the computer (orig. wuaueng) was protected I don't have permission to anything but smile and look at him.

    What has caused this problem is the file for bad update process? How can I get good copy?
    I'm now going to try to restart my laptop hang on and I'll let you know what happens...

    As to manually replace the .dll file, you can find info here:

    How'ever, the problem you are experiencing may be related to a bad update to SP1. That would happen if you had other programs / services running that could have interfered with the update process (example is Antivirus software), or your system has been damaged before installing SP1.

    I answered your second post regarding a restore disc, order one of your manufacturer and a new facility will be the best option for you.

    The dll may itself be damaged so try using the repair system file checker.  Click Start, type "cmd" in the search/Run box and right-click on the CMD icon at the top of the results pane.  Select run as administrator.  When the cmd window type "sfc/scannow" at the prompt and press ENTER.  When the scan is finished, close the cmd window.

  • c:\windows\system32\storprop.dll error with USB

    I had a problem with my USB flash drive (memory stick) that I bought recently.  I used a Sandisk U3 Titanium 2 GB flash drive with U3 technology.  I bought a Sandisk Cruzer 16 GB drive in addition to the another flash drive.  Now when I plug the new "Cruzer" it displays the following error message

    DEVICE SETUP ERROR
    Windows could not load the installer for hard drive.  Contact your hardware vendor.

    After clicking OK, the box NEW HARDWARE FOUND is displayed and when you select this option to locate and install the driver (recommended) it immediately returns the following:

    newdev.exe - incorrect Image
    C:\Windows\system32\StorProp.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.  Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the provider of software for support.

    From there, you select OK and he repeats the MISTAKE of the DEVICE INSTALLER and then displays the NEW HARDWARE DETECTED again.  This time, it says to insert the disc that came with the device.  When you select that you do not have the disk, it asks if you want to find a solution.  Then he said: it could not install your SanDisk Cruzer USB device.

    At first I thought it was a problem with the "Cruzer" so I called SanDisk and crossed their tech support and finally, he recommended that I have to contact Microsoft as it was not a problem with their device.  This seems to think as my U3 device still works fine.

    Today, I went to plug my new external hard drive Seagate through my USB port and has received the exact same guests and error messages.

    I noticed also about a month when I inserted my SD card in my SD card reader, which is built into the laptop, I got an error message.  I went back today and he reinserted and received the same error messages that I described above.  I'm guessing that all of these mistakes probably revolve around the c:\windows\system32\storprop.dll file but I don't know what to do about this.  I tried looking online to find an answer, but could not find anyone else with similar information.

    In addition, once all the error messages are recognized, then the devices can be used, however for the SanDisk Cruzer, it you cannot use the software of the U3 technology.

    Anyone who can provide any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!
