missing iTunes6464.msi

I am running windows 10, I can't update or delete iTunes because I get the message iTunes6464.msi is missing

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates. Start with the Missing MSI errorssection.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

  • Can not uninstall/reinstall iTunes because of the missing file iTunes6464.msi

Recently the resources have been insufficient in my C drive. The it guy in my office found because I had 3.5 million .jgp files stored in a folder of windows media! YES 3 500 000 jpg files!

Decision of Directors... delete the folder. With that, I lost my desktop icons, Skype and iTunes. I was able to reinstall Office icons are back. I rarely use Skype so no question, I've uninstalled it. I will return later.

The dilemma is now no iTunes, does OK icon... the process should be, do a uninstall/reinstall. With a massive library I want to do it right and who would be in Control Panel/programs/iTunes/uninstall. Alas, I can't.

The message I get is "the component you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource.  Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package "iTunes6464.msi" in the box below. This item is not found.

I have downloaded and run the latest version of iTunes6464setup to be told that "a newer version of iTunes is already installed"... the installer closes.

So now I'm in an add that not only no icon iTunes but no way to unistalling/reinstalling.

    I'm looking for help. :-)

    Hi WoodstockWoman,

-What, exactly, is a transcript of the error message that you receive?

This problem may occur if one of the following conditions is true:

    • The Windows Installer files that are on your drive hard are missing or are damaged.
    • You install or remove a program that uses the package file to install software for the Microsoft install (MSI) Windows (.msi). For example, this can occur when you try to install Microsoft Office on your computer.

Follow the steps in this link to fix the problem:

I managed to fix it.  I found the Mr. Fix It tool on the Microsoft Web site and who was running, and it worked.  He fixed the corrupted registry file and allowed me to install the player.  I had tried it once before, but it has not been successful.  This time, it worked.

my download install when it reads the file "missing acroread.msi '.  How to do this?

    Hi tedm81099702

First of all, I'm no expert, but I had exactly the same problem and did the following.  It worked for me:

First go to this site: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.10/en_US/

From this link I downloaded/installed the previous version of the US 11.0.10 of the drive.  Don't panic when it does not work... It gives the same error, BUT click Browse for button location and the AcroRead.msi file appears (should in any case).  Click top and then OK...

After I installed the previous version, I then installed the new version of Acrobat Reader DC from here: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions

It removes the old version and install.  I hope this helps!

I have windows XP, .NET 4.0 (4.5)?, service packs1, 2, 3, 4.0 and 4.5. I have a HP Pavilion a620n. I do not know is that 4 or if I need and IE8. I tried to remove several programs in Add/Remove Programs, and it said an ending with .msi file that is "missing or moved" is necessary, even if it is for an Installer (?), no withdrawal. He arrived with more than one program as I said. When I search I can't find the requested file. If it is missing, how can I proceed? Please help if possible and thank you in advance for your time!  :)       Kinamaygray

    Hi Kinamaygray,

.NET frameWork is an integral part of many windows-based applications and provides common functionality for these applications to run. I suggest you do not uninstall the .net FrameWork, it may cause some programs not do not work. For more information on the .net FrameWork, you can check the link.

I wonder if it is available for download somewhere for this, or if it is possible to repair with a disc.

Sophie never came back, so we do not know if it has ever solved its problem, but it worked for most people. You can try to use this tool first remove all traces of your computer:

    http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Then you can download the full Setup offline reader for the version you want from

    http://get.Adobe.com/reader/Enterprise/

After downloading, restart your computer and run the Setup program before anything else.
