  • Satellite P305 - DVD drive missing registry method attempted

My satellite P305 lost the DVD icon in my computer.

So I tried to fix it by using the 'Register' method I have seen anywhere in the forums, but it didn't work as I have found a 'low' I don't think that the name but not the second registry value 'superior '. So now I can't use my PC DVD and I hope that I can reinstall the driver, although I doubt it.

The computer Troubleshooter said the problem is that the registry file is damaged or missing (before I tried to fix it). I had been using a burner and burn a DVD that took a lot of time to complete the level of 99%, so I clicked to close the program thinking that the information was already coded on the DVD and there is nothing for the program to do but stop, but it did not work and the program have remained frozen. The program I used was called Cheetah Burner, in case you are interested in knowing. So I ejected the disk (perhaps after control-alt-delete, not sure) and probably restart the computer again, to see that the program had taken place.

So please tell me how to deal with this, soon. I need to solve this young to continue working!

    Thank you

    Ash.

    Hey Ash,

I think you mean the upper and lower filters in the registry. Is this fair?
Normally, this should help about problems with the CD/DVD drive but you've already tried this?

In your case, I would try to remove the drive to CD/DVD in Device Manager (right click > uninstall). After the reboot the drive will be recognized again and maybe it works.
In addition, you n t need another driver because it s a part of the operating system. Updated this driver peut t.

Another interesting thin: you can boot from a disc?

Thank you for keeping us posted.

    Using a wireless mouse?

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Missing registry keys

I'm unable to update, reinstall, repair, or uninstall Adobe Reader, I use Windows 7 (64-bit).

Whenever I try one of these, I get a message: -.

"Error 1402. Could not open the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32\SOFTWARE | Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Check that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support team. »

    My registry is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE keys, but none with a ' 32 "

I tried all the "patches" suggested for Error 1402 Adobe help, but nothing to overcome the problem.

Can someone help me out on this please?

The registry is a complex place and must be approached with the utmost caution. I looked inside, and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32 is a frequently used alias. On a 32-bit computer is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. On a 64-bit computer, it is translated

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    becomes

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

In any case, I suspect that the installer is not run with permissions. Maybe right click - Run as administrator on the installation program will do.

If you download the installer on adobe.com, don't touch and download instead of Adobe. There are some scams out there.

  • Missing registry key (USBSTOR)

Recently I went to one of my Vista laptops and changed the starting value of HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBSTOR to 4 to prevent the use of USB on the computer mass storage. I then changed permission for the key setting to remove a complete control of everyone including the system (if it is enabled for the system, you can boot a machine with a USB drive attached and it will work). The problem is that now that I need to use a USB on the said machine, I can't find the USBSTOR key to change the permissions and the starting value. This isn't where it is supposed to be. Any ideas, please?

It is not a "registry item", it is a system file that is related to Windows Live Mail.  Look at the post marked 'Answer' this thread.

  • authority of ESR

We use ScriptLogic / Desktop Authority in our field, as well as Firefox 31.1.0esr. Authority Office failed to set the home page of the version of esr, but does so well in the version (s) of release later, commercial. Is there something that can help shed light for Dell support to this? We would like to offer the browser for use, but are related to this version.

This is resolved. There is a missing missing registry key in the version of esr which required by office. Otherwise, DA sees as if Firefox is not installed. The key is:

    [Firefox HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mozilla\Mozilla]
    "CurrentVersion" = hex (2): 31, 33, 00, 00, 2nd, 00, 31, 00, 2nd, 00, 30, 00, 20, 00, 45, 00, 53, 00,------.

  • Flash being not recognized as installed

I had this problem last year and I was able to remedy this by copying the contents of the folder system32/macromedia/flash on firefox/plugins folder. This solution does not work for now. It appears to come to install the latest version of the player.

I have tried absolutely all of the suggestions made for each similar survey posted. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Flash and Firefox so many times that I lost count. It goes the same for Firefox reset. Simply Firefox won't recognize the plugin. I, of course, checked the Firefox utilities for the identification of the plugins installed.

I desperately need a fresh solution. Does anyone else have this problem?

If Firefox does not have the Flash plugin in its installed location of the probably missing registry key that Firefox uses to analyze for the Flash plugin.

You can copy the files of the plugin in the browser\plugins folder or in a folder plugins in the current Firefox profile folder or the Mozilla\plugins parent.
The plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer used.

  • Can not uninstall Firefox

I'm trying to deal with a problem of Java plugin that I also followed all the rules, others have defined. Essentially, for this problem, Firefox crashes every time that Java applets try to load it and the plugin is activated. Specifically, the Java Platform SE6 U30 6.0.300.12 plugin. My current attempt would involve uninstalling Firefox 10 and back up from scratch to see if that clears the problem, but it has revealed a new problem: I have no official way to uninstall Firefox.

The list Add/Remove Programs Windows (XPSP3) has two entries of Mozilla Firefox, and two of them are obsolete: 0.8 and 3.4. *. The 0.8, we have a question about missing registry files when you try to run and the 3.4. * ' Remove' button purely and simply does nothing. Firefox itself comes with no uninstall.exe program. No external program works either on these entries or on the latest version of Firefox, I installed because they are trying to rely on ineffective control panel uninstall or can not detect it (in the case of the current versions). In the last paragraph, I listed a number of things that could have problems, certainly, but the only one that I am interested in is the inability to uninstall. Get the Java plugin works would be only one more until I get this sorting.

10 Firefox has a lot of problems and I found the solution has made a firefox beta 11 update and so far everything works fine.

  • DV7-7012: Beats Audio Panel works do not (it's there, but it does nothing)

I had to make a Windows 7 in place 'upgrade' to repair a damaged system.  The new version of windows was the same as the old (win7pro 64-bit) and I eventually installed all the patches and updates.

But now my Beats audio Panel does not work.  No error message, just no response.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the IDT pilot softpac (SP 59766) several times, in several ways... the result is always the same.  All the sound elements work, the driver gets in, the control panel disappears as it should during uninstallation and reappears later... but when I click the icon, nothing happens.

    • Looking at the windows event viewer, I get the following error message:

HELP... my mike is mainly offline until I fix this.

    Thank you

    Uninstalled all IDT package.  Reset.

    Reinstalled all package IDT.  Reset.

Now that .net works, therefore Beats!

    Then... SOLVED!

NOTE: it really matters what version of the IDT drivers that you install.  ... Then the SP of another model cannot work at all, or further damage the situation.

  • Pavilion 15-p027tx: Beats Audio not start on windows Startup

I updated my Hp Pavilion windows 10 p027tx when windows 10 has been released. But 2-3 days before I updated my drivers little to the last version that was available. I've also updated the audio driver realtek. But the problem is after update, Beats Audio does not start on starup windows. Beats Audio is still there but I have to start it manually by searching on it. Earlier, it allows to start in backgroud with an icon in the system tray. But now it doesn't. I have to start it manually. All the solutions to this?

    Hello

Another option would be to add the missing registry key which you can follow these steps.

First, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type : starting the interpreter, hit enter and then delete the boot entry you added earlier.

Before you begin, click the Start Menu, select settings, select system, Notifications & actions select on select icons appear in the taskbar - make sure that that there is not an entry for "Realtek HD Audio Manager" which is just off."

According to what you find, follow these steps.

    1. if there is an entry for "Realtek HD Audio Manager", set it to On and restart the computer and see if it fixed the problem.

    ***********************************************************

    2. if there is not an entry for "Realtek HD Audio Manager", hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type regedit, press ENTER, and then click 'Yes' to the uac prompt.

    Go to the following.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run       (click on Run to make sure it is highlighted ).

In the larger right pane, right-click on an empty area, move the pointer over new, and select string value.

    Name RTHDVCPL and press ENTER.

Now, do a right click of RTHDVCPL and select Edit.

Copy the entry below and paste it in the "Value data" field

    "C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64.exe" s

    Click Ok to save it.

Close the registry editor and restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, click on the Start Menu, select settings, select system, Notifications & actions select on select icons appear in the taskbar - make sure that the entry for "Realtek HD Audio Manager" is set to one.

    Kind regards
