    Hello!

I've just installed WinXP on a R500 - this comes pre-installed with Vista, but it should support XP. (2716 CTO) The problem begins when I try to search him up on top of the base driver, 2716-CTO turns his back with "Product not found".

  • T20, Win 7 - missing "SM Bus controller" and "Controller of (USB) Universal Serial Bus", in Dev Mgr

I am running Win 7 x 64 Ultimate on a new PowerEdge T20, basic model.  I had a license for Win 7 so I installed.  The system disk is a matrix RAID 5 3 x 120 GB SSD and 4 SATA port running a HDD that provides additional internal relief.

The thing works spectacularly well to its function as a SVN server - everything works - but I am following up on a couple of small mysteries...

In Device Manager, I see two devices listed in the "Other devices" category where Windows has apparently failed to find a driver:

Since I was successfully able to control such things as temperatures of the motherboard, but also read/write peripheral USB USB2 and USB3 ports, which seems just academic.

I'm looking for drivers for these things, or just ignore it?

  • Missing satellite C870 - 11G - "SM BUS controller driver" for Win 7 64 bit

    Good afternoon

After extensive research of the forums, I was unable to find a solution so far.

A few months ago, after the demise of his previous Satellite, my friend has acquired a Satellite C870 - 11G on Windows 7 (64-bit).

She acquire the machine online from PC World, and after that make the updates of windows put in place using the Zonealarm free firewall & 2013 AVG antivirus free. We have installed the Microsoft Office 365 and the bundled drivers for HP Deskjet F4180 sound.

Initially, everything went very well, but a month ago, the machine does not recognize the printer.

After the troubleshooting thing, the machine has reported a "SM BUS controller driver" as being missing.

"Search etc, after much net more faffing autour with the restoration of the system", I could not yet set and so went to the "nuclear" option i.e. I backed up all its data and doing a complete reset of the recovery partition.

We have gradually been put back together, reload its data, re-installing of ZoneAlarm and AVG, Picassa & Office 365. Yesterday I went to re - install printer drivers, but before doing so checked Device Manager to see that the error "SM BUS controller driver is missing" was. Grrrrr...

I tried to use system restore to return point of restoration of a restore point but that too now fails every time with error (0x80070005).

Before we go again nuclear, anyone has any ideas please...?

Best regards & thanks in advance.

    Larry

Try please reinstall the chipset driver. I found this for your machine and you can download it here.

Test it please and post comments.

  • PCI Device and SM bus controller drivers are missing

    Hello

Recently I formatted my computer hp 2000-2116tu laptop and reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Initially, I found a lot of network drivers are missing. I went through forums of hp support and almost all the drivers are installed except the peripheral PCI and SM Bus controller. I could not find anywhere. In Device Manager, these two devices are projected with yellow exclamation point.

    Peripheral hardware PCI ID: PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5229 & SUBSYS_1858103C & REV_01

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5229 & SUBSYS_1858103C

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5229 & CC_FF0000

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5229 & CC_FF00

    Peripheral hardware PCI ID: PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_1E22 & SUBSYS_1858103C & REV_04

    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_1E22 & SUBSYS_1858103C

    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_1E22 & CC_0C0500

    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_1E22 & CC_0C05

    (1) should I install these two drivers also, because now I am able to browse the internet without these drivers?

If should, please provide the link for the same thing. If you don't mind, pls let me know using these drivers.

    (2) I installed windows 7 64-bit os. My laptop is equipped with a Quad Core i5 processor and 4 GB of ram. These configuration is sufficient to run the 64-bit operating system?

    (3) most video players theinstalled is 32-bit. It is therefore considered that the videos are not so clear before I did the format. Do you have any comment on that?

Please clarify my above given questions. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Yes, you need to install these drivers.

First of all, download and install the Intel Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56517.exe

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and install the Realtek card reader driver below.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56545.exe

Once you have installed the Chipset driver, I would also reinstall the Intel HD Graphics driver on this link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56836.exe

Once again, when this has completed, restart the computer and check if your videos look as they should.

About memory, 4 GB is fine, although you can switch to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB Modules) If you wish.

    Kind regards

  • Missing ethernet network controller / failure and SM Bus controller for hp Pavilion p6-2103w

Hello.  I have hp Pavilion Desk model p6-2103w 4 GB RAM 1 TB HD.

I don't have any original installation discs hp/OEM manufacturer, recovery disks, etc. of any kind.

I reformatted the 1 TB hard wiped clean software White Canyon "WipeDrive.

    I installed Windows 7 Professional X 86 .

Device Manager console said that these devices had problems (incorrectly installed or lack of pilots - they all turned out be 'missing' because what I tell you is that during the installation, these components are not identified during installation - according to an extensive search I did then than to try to find a solution to this I learned that the exact situation (unable to locate) (identify and install during the installation of windows for the the components listed below) is a known bug - I have read the discussions and comments explicitly address this issue written by technicians from support as answers, etc... :

    • Simple PCI controller
    • Ethernet controller
    • SM Bus controller

    Simple PCI - fixed controller

I installed driver (Original Intel Management Interface Driver - download filenumber sp55575.exe) which cleared up the simple PCI controller driver.

Ethernet & SM Bus controllers - what I've done so now

I've tried about 3 or 4 of "Original Realtek network card drivers ' using RTL8171E GIGABIT ETHERNET CONTROLLER and network controller RealTek PXE - B07 D00 as search terms for downloads.    Here is what happens...

I get an error message during installation Setup found the correct driver for the device that he was trying to install but may not be installed correctly: it gives two options: to try to reinstall (correctly), or to skip that and proceed with resetting, as if she is known by the user, the installation was indeed installed (correctly).  As you can guess, none of these produces a correct installation.

I don't think it's relevant but just in case it may be useful to other related information here:

    HI, try this once...

go to your device manager and see you see some devices named "unknows".

    If Yes, then >

    Try a few steps

go to your device manager > right click on the unknown devices > go to properties > then details tag

Select from the drop-down called Hardware ID (PCI\VEN...) Copy it via right click...

and search for it on google or any search engine, you will get the right drivers...

    Here's print process filming!

    I hope that helps!
