  I opened my current project of CHM, brought a quick spelling correction and saved, RoboHelp crashed. When I have opened the project to verify that the change has been recorded, all HTML (topics) files are missing. Real htm files are always there, just do not indicated in the project. The table of contents and Index are very good. How their return to the top?

  You can decompile a CHM file, but let's keep that one in reserve for now.

• Missing topics in my RoboHelp 7 project

  Starting today, the RoboHelp 7 project I worked for a couple of years, has no topics. I thought that maybe a path has been corrupted, so I was just going to bring them back, but when I start to do so, it says that they already exist in the project. How can I get back to my project?

  This is standard behavior of the Microsoft Windows operating system to precede the file name with "copy of". This usually happens in the following circumstances:

  1. You have selected the files, right click on them and chose copy. But you never opened one. You have elected instead of this, make a right click and choose Paste without changing the file.
  2. This also may be due to one inadvertently and drag when you try to select and copy or move files.

• Some bread crumbs and nav links missing topics

  three of my themes (from 351) lack of navigation links and breadcrumbs (I use the traditional use of style - no adjustment so I need of these at the top of the skin about me)-I can't find all the differences in the code or properties or parameters that will count for this - the subjects are in order to browse

  Problem solved! -RoboHelp dislikes the quotes around the words in a title

  suspicion of Peter depending on whether the problem had something to do with generated by Word etc and find all the metatags pair I tried determine what was different on 14 subjects that would not show just by using the mode of creation of bread crumbs - I noticed that all had quotation marks around words in titles - right click on the titles of the subjects afflicted in the Table of contents in the project manager «» pod', then right-click on the properties I removed delinquency famous quote from the table of Contents Page Properties box and all the crumbs and nav links showed once again

  I don't know if this is a "bug" exactly - but I'll be from my pages in the topic in the future without the quotes in the title and adding them later in Design view if I need

• Missing topics when compiling HTML Help

  I have written and maintain support systems for both products in RoboHelp 5.0. Each has compiled fine in WinHelp 4 years format. When I compile one of them in HTML Help format (.chm file), and then double-click the .chm file to open it, the summary and Index seem to be filled correctly, but I can't open a topic when I double-click on a in the table of contents or the Index. The heading window remains empty. I think I should be able to open the .chm file that is independent of any application and open all the subjects that it contained, just like I can with a .hlp file.
  
  I'd be able to have access to all of my subjects (about 2,000 indexed and contextual 650) simply by double-clicking the .chm file? Are there specific project settings, that I need to set in a specific way to get HTML help to include all topics? Another thing I might be dominant?

• Irregular deadlines when connecting to FTP

  I'm uploading to an ftp site I did Muse but I get a "FTP is not supported on this server [could not connect to port 21 ftp.tisco.tv: Connection refused]. 'error." When I try to log on to the server ftp via Safari, I get both denied. However, if I use Firefox, it connects.

  Now why could someone be?

  Wouldn't be easier for me to make Firefox my default browser in Muse for this Safari is my current default and this is the browser that is denying me access?

  When you use firefox, you always use port 21? Auto detect the program checks if port 21 is open for communication. If your server uses a different port (say 100), you will need to enter the server name as ftp.tisco.tv:100.

  Could you please follow these steps to get more detailed in the FTP of Muse client logs to see what could be the problem?

  1. Please copy the MuseLogSetting.xml attached to your Documents folder

  2. restart Muse

  3 within the Muse, click FTP upload and enter ftp.tisco.tv, as well as your credentials.

  4. wait until you see the impossible to connect to port 21 ftp.tisco.tv: connection refused error

  5 details of the papers will be written in Documents/MuseLog.txt

  6. open MuseLog.txt, look for your ftp password in the log. If you use FTP, your password may be in the log file.

  7. Please remove instances of your FTP password in the log file

  I have a bizarre and frustrating behavior with Adobe Acrobat X. I work with some documents created previously, so the documents themselves are not created from the ground upward. They are essentially forms, in which I added text FIELDS, to allow users to enter data.  Most of the form is just straight text, but it is some of the text boxes (labels, whatever you want to call them) behave strangely.

  Let's say my sample form looks like this:

  First name < text field 1 >

  Name, first name < text field 2 >

  
  Premium (TextBox 1) < text field 3 >

  Total (2 TextBox) < text field 4 >

  (Assortment of small print text inserted here)

  When text fields are user entered data, the text boxes hold just text, in this case, just a dollar sign.

  so as I am a tab, Acrobat must tab through the fields that a user can enter data only, so it should tab text field 1 > 2 field text > text field 3 > 4 text field.  The problem I have, is for some reason any Acrobat is deciding tab in a text box, a non editable field that should never be tabulated in any case, because it can not be changed, it should simply be part of the form itself. So my user presses Tab by like this:

  Text field 1 > text field 2 > TextBox 1 > text field 3 > TextBox 2 > TextField 4

  How the hell can I make this stop, because it's really for a mediocre when user experience fill out these forms.  This is just a sample of a form, the entire document consists of 83 form and really really weird tab behavior.

  You can create a new PDF containing the text you want and replace the old pages with the new or yo could flatten annotations to text box so that they become a regular page content.   It works perfectly, but after I changed the local name QDBSP to QDBSP2, when I try to connect via sqlplus, I get this:

  ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist

  When I change back to QDBSP, it works, change it to QDBSP2, fail again...

  Maybe you have a sqlnet.ora in place with the entry

  NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (hostname)

  and by the way, you have a host named QDBSP or QDBSP2?

  You can ping (not tnsping) QDBSP or QDBSP2

• Irregular deadlines of Photomerge

  Photomerge in the PS3 and PS4 was enough for the last two years for 95 per cent of my stitches which are usually just 2 x flat stitches points to move a T/S lens. These are all indoor and outdoor buildings with lots of overlap and common points. It is an important part of my work and I do a few a week for clients. Until recently, they merged without flaw. All of a sudden Photomerge can't align images gives me the message error "some images may not be automatically aligned. This happens under all different blend modes. This happens also the bridge or open files in PS. It is literally impossible to merge any set of images. It remained with the camera on a tripod and locked exposure and WB.  The only thing that has changed is I played with usage levels and cache memory trying to improve performance, but even after his return to the original settings Photomerge will not complete a merge. It does not matter what that merge mode you use or if you work file raw or TIFF or bridge or open files. I'll have to make each stitch in Autopano Pro, which slow down my workflow and frankly do not work as well on keeping straight lines.  Widows XP with a drive huge scatch dedicated just for PS all thoughts. A reinstall?

  Try resetting your preferences. Hold down Ctrl-Alt-shift when launching Photoshop. You must manually reset your preferences after this.

• Task Manager: lack of topics

  Hi Chrissy,

  Could check you that you find some missing topics in your project manager > project pod files (Missing subject would have a red X next to them), the folder in the image could be containing a few subjects that somehow got disrupted. Please go to the location on your drive source and look for the folder that can contains your missing topics, and if you find this path, then from RoboHelp - file > import > Html/XTML all these files in your project.

• Satellite A300 - cannot burn DVDs dual layer

  Hi, I bought my laptop 10 months ago.

  Since then I ve been burning a disc or two every now and then, no intense use of the driver.

  Last week I tried to burn a DVD double layer, my driver seems not to be able to burn a. I used BurnXP free burning software that supports double layer and when he finished the first layer of the program collapsed in response, I have tried 2-3 disk, none worked.
  Then I tried the latest version of Nero, everything seemed smooth (it burned down two layers) up until the finished burning process and then I got an error message that the procedure has failed.

  I have tried different brands of disc 'TDK' 'Philips' "In extenso" or something. None worked.
  I tried a Philips disc on my desktop drive and it it burned very well.
  -Should I head to Toshiba service?
  -Are there a driver/firmware to fix my problem?

  PS: I tried to update firmware but can't find a firmware for my drive.
  I have the ' matsita DVD-RAM uj-850 s and I used the right type of DVD discs--
  Type in advance.

  You have received this message, but have you checked the DVD DL after that?
  Perhaps the data has been burned correctly?

  I got a lot of time, the message that the burning procedure was not successful, but I then tested the disc and it was legible.

  AFAIK that should the user manual contains also some info on drive tested and compatible.
  Maybe you should use the DVD DL recommended in this user's manual.

  But of course this could be also a material IRREGULAR deadlines.
  In this case, you must request the ASP for the test and check!
