    Hello

I have more green or indicator of intensity of the screen volume indicator. They disappeared after uninstalling the presentation Director. I reinstalled it but no volume or intensity indicators are back. It is a minor inconveniance but I would like to have them back. How can I do this?

    I found a solution!

It comes to the register which is not too attractive, but it's a simple change so not so intimidating. Would it make sense total, when you look at the value of font size OSD his set with the lowest possible value (00 00 00 00). Not surprising that we cannot read what whatsoever...

I followed what was offered in the following thread and everything works fine:

  • Tecra A9 - Remove Volume on-screen display/indicator

    Hello

I have a laptop series Tecra A9 running xp pro 32 bit and I am trying to remove the volume indicator on the screen. The laptop has a volume wheel on the edge closest to the user, and if it's on the knees, the volume knob gets hit all the time.

Whenever it is typed, the volume on the indicator screen appears which becomes VERY annoying.

I tried to find a way to change/edit that during a period of time and can't find anything conclusive. I was able to change some .dll and .exe files to change the picture a bit, but it has not completely solved my problem.

I guess my questions are the following:
    1. is there a way to disable the screen display on only for the indication of volume?
    2. is there a a way to disable the wheel of scrolling shortcut to change the volume, keeping all other shortcut keys?
    3. is it possible to disable the wheel of scrolling shortcut and use a different way to change the volume. I found many other utilities to change the volume of the laptop that allow different variants of shortcut keys that I like to use instead of the scroll wheel.

Let me know if any other information is needed.

Any suggestion would be appreciated :)

Maybe you could just cover the wheel with little electrical tape volume and use the command of Windows Volume to change the volume instead?

  • Satellite A300: How to put back the Volume indicator on the screen?

I have my laptop a few days ago and I've set the volume using the volume knob on the front of the laptop an on screen volume indicator would show.

I tried to uninstall some software I didn't and probably uninstalled the application that handles this.

I tried to install Toshiba assist, and added value to Toshiba pack, but it still does not work. I thought that public services has come with this feature.

I looked and it seems that volumeindicator.exe is used for this, but I can't find that anywhere!

How can I get this working again?

    Hi guy,

have you tried reinstalling the driver audio and, subsequently, value added package?

    Would be worthy to try...

  • HP Pavilion dv7-3170ez: volume indicator not showing when the volume control

    Hello

I own a Pavilion dv7-3170ez and when I change the volume using the slider button in the volume on top of the keyboard, the volume is adjusted accordingly, but no volume indicator appears on the display.

Previously, when you adjust the volume, a speaker icon with a cursor jumped in the middle of the screen showing the current volume level.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows Update and HP update shows that I have the latest version of the software. Also, I have the latest version of the BIOS installed.

Note: the touch buttons on top (volume, speaker and enable wireless, etc) stopped working a few days after the disappearance of the sound meter, I have fixed that by connecting battery power and disconnectiong for awhile. However, the indicator is still not displayed. Don't know if this is related (I guess not).

    Thank you

The Volume OSD is a HP MediaSmart Menu function. He has to load at startup. To do this, go to msconfig and make sure that it is enabled under the Startup tab...

  • Beats Audio Volume indicator WENT after IDT HD Audio update!

Just bought the HP Envy 17 t-3000 (Envy 17 model custom) and I updated all drivers through HP Support Manager.

BEFORE the update, the Beats Audio worked fine...

    1. press on the knob and the popup box appears about 3 seconds

2 whirlwind indicator volume seems to display the volume level.

AFTER the update, something changed the Beats Audio... had to re - install the latest driver from the HP Web site (even after the contact with HP Tech support chat and email several times)...

    1. press on the knob and the popup box appears about 10-12 seconds now!

2 whirlwind indicator volume DISAPPEARED for volume level indicator is GONE

Of course the sound works but NOW I do NOT know or remember the volume level whenever I listen to music.

You can barely tell on the speaker icon to Windows on the toolbar since 2 sound waves indicate at least 50% of its level, but that's all!

I have the software following and checked their settings and put everything to 50% and use the Beats Audio dial to control the volume when the programs are used:

    1 WinAmp

    2 VLC player

    3 MPC

    4 WMP

No matter what I try, it appears that the Beats Audio Volume Control indicator Swirl is GONE! Worse still, there is NO Windows switch order volume at least don't let the open Volume mixer!

Someone knows how to solve this problem and bring back the Audio Beats volume indicator?

HP Tech support insists on doing a re clean - install of the operating system to its original state after suggesting to do reinstall partial of restore points. Already tried restore but points only some since there were MANY because of various updates and none brought the Volume indicator.

Perform a total OS re - install would be the LAST attempt given I have to reinstall all the programs and updated ONCE again that would be laborious!

    Thank you!

    Hello

Without knowing exactly which updates HP Support Assistant is installed, try the following first and let me know.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56900.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are done, reboot the laptop and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

Then, download and install HP display to the screen from following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55152.exe

Once again, when the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

What is now working properly and what is not, or is there no change?

    Kind regards

How can I get the keyboard screen on back?

Remove KB3004394 from Windows updates and reboot. It has caused many problems.

Go to the updates of Windows. It should appear in the start menu. All programs, or you can find it in the control panel.

Click view update history and installed updates. In the search bar type in KB3004394. When it shows the update, do a right click on it and uninstall it.

Microsoft has released the update if you do not have to worry about coming back.

  • Satellite Pro A300: No volume indicator displays on the screen

    Hello

When you change the volume to use, it works (even if this does not work as the starting system which is really annoying, especially when you turn it on every day in a library) However there are usually no witnesses screen to show at what level the volume is at. Once, I saw a display flag which seemed to be apart Toshiba Hot Key Utility but it disappeared again after a reboot.

It is really impossible to do not be able to see at what level the volume is such that you change. Can someone help me out here? Brands goes for anyone who can help me unravel so volume level start!

    Hi CiRi,

try to use the "Fn + esc" key to cut your system...
He will remain silent even for restart the computer...

If none of the keys have a special feature of "Fn" reinstall the 'value added package' and 'hotkeys' of the toshiba download page.

  • Brightness of screen/missing volume controllers

    Hey :)

I recently reinstalled my OS (Vista Home Basic) on my Inspiron 1520, which means get all of the latest drivers from the Dell website. However, I have not been able to find one that displays a scale visible on the screen when you adjust the brightness of your screen or volume. It's REALLY annoying because it means that the volume tends to just shoot vertically because I can't tell how fast it is changing.

Not one urgent request, but if someone could point me in the direction where I could download this piece of software I would appreciate it. :)

Download Dell Quickset from the category of Applications on the Inspiron 1520 downloads page. After installation, he looks on the taskbar on the Quickset icon. It is in the form of a Q that is blue with a yellow tail coming out there. Click the icon and uncheck the 'disable counters of volume/brightness on the screen.' (On some versions you must right-click it.)

Main function of quick setting is to start the wizard of energy management; However, by clicking on the icon allows you to enable or disable keys Fn brightness screen and volume, and it is necessary Media direct function.

I have a Compaq Presario CG56 with Windows 7 64 bit.  All of a sudden the volume display on the screen (NOT the taskbar icon) does not appear when I adjust the volume.  I don't change anything on the computer.  Any ideas?

    Hi again,

If you do not want to install / uninstall anything, then you can restore your system to the point where you remember that visuals work ok.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP p7-1110. Your computer comes with a basic wired keyboard and mouse, so OSD (on-screen display) is not needed or provided. Also, there is no keyboard, OSD or multimedia drivers listed for your computer to "support and drivers" page from HP. Any version of Windows that I know has each came with OSD or something like that. Many manufacturers of computers add what OSD based on material they provide with the computer.
