Missing volume indicator

Hello

I have more green or indicator of intensity of the screen volume indicator. They disappeared after uninstalling the presentation Director. I reinstalled it but no volume or intensity indicators are back. It is a minor inconveniance but I would like to have them back. How can I do this?

I found a solution!

It comes to the register which is not too attractive, but it's a simple change so not so intimidating. Would it make sense total, when you look at the value of font size OSD his set with the lowest possible value (00 00 00 00). Not surprising that we cannot read what whatsoever...

I followed what was offered in the following thread and everything works fine:

http://Forum.ThinkPads.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=72502

P.S. I would cite to back up before you mess up the registry keys...

  • HP Pavilion dv7-3170ez: volume indicator not showing when the volume control

    Hello

I own a Pavilion dv7-3170ez and when I change the volume using the slider button in the volume on top of the keyboard, the volume is adjusted accordingly, but no volume indicator appears on the display.

Previously, when you adjust the volume, a speaker icon with a cursor jumped in the middle of the screen showing the current volume level.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows Update and HP update shows that I have the latest version of the software. Also, I have the latest version of the BIOS installed.

Note: the touch buttons on top (volume, speaker and enable wireless, etc) stopped working a few days after the disappearance of the sound meter, I have fixed that by connecting battery power and disconnectiong for awhile. However, the indicator is still not displayed. Don't know if this is related (I guess not).

    Thank you

The Volume OSD is a HP MediaSmart Menu function. He has to load at startup. To do this, go to msconfig and make sure that it is enabled under the Startup tab...

  • Beats Audio Volume indicator WENT after IDT HD Audio update!

Just bought the HP Envy 17 t-3000 (Envy 17 model custom) and I updated all drivers through HP Support Manager.

BEFORE the update, the Beats Audio worked fine...

    1. press on the knob and the popup box appears about 3 seconds

2 whirlwind indicator volume seems to display the volume level.

AFTER the update, something changed the Beats Audio... had to re - install the latest driver from the HP Web site (even after the contact with HP Tech support chat and email several times)...

    1. press on the knob and the popup box appears about 10-12 seconds now!

2 whirlwind indicator volume DISAPPEARED for volume level indicator is GONE

Of course the sound works but NOW I do NOT know or remember the volume level whenever I listen to music.

You can barely tell on the speaker icon to Windows on the toolbar since 2 sound waves indicate at least 50% of its level, but that's all!

I have the software following and checked their settings and put everything to 50% and use the Beats Audio dial to control the volume when the programs are used:

    1 WinAmp

    2 VLC player

    3 MPC

    4 WMP

No matter what I try, it appears that the Beats Audio Volume Control indicator Swirl is GONE! Worse still, there is NO Windows switch order volume at least don't let the open Volume mixer!

Someone knows how to solve this problem and bring back the Audio Beats volume indicator?

HP Tech support insists on doing a re clean - install of the operating system to its original state after suggesting to do reinstall partial of restore points. Already tried restore but points only some since there were MANY because of various updates and none brought the Volume indicator.

Perform a total OS re - install would be the LAST attempt given I have to reinstall all the programs and updated ONCE again that would be laborious!

    Thank you!

    Hello

Without knowing exactly which updates HP Support Assistant is installed, try the following first and let me know.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56900.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are done, reboot the laptop and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

Then, download and install HP display to the screen from following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55152.exe

Once again, when the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

What is now working properly and what is not, or is there no change?

    Kind regards

  • missing volume bar

Hi, I use an iPad 2 and for some reason any volume bars have disappeared. The volume always works and is adjustable, it is only the bars that are missing.

Does anyone know how th can be fixed?

    Thank you.

First, try a reboot forced the iPad:

Force the restart (does not affect the settings/data/music/apps/etc)

    1. press and hold the sleep/wake button

    2. press and hold the Home button

    3. hold both buttons until the screen turns off, then back on with the Apple logo.

If no luck and the problem persists, see these topics:

If you are on iOS 9.x (which means that all versions) and you use a Smart Cover, there is a bug when using the Smart Cover to to unlock the device. I don't know if it applies to the iPad 2 you mention. I know that the problem exists on the iPad 2 Air and the mini iPad 2 (at least).

  • iPhone 6: missing wifi indicator

In recent days, I noticed that even though my iPhone seems to be connected to a wireless network, the signal indicator is missing. If anyone found the same thing?

Anyone has an idea why this might be?

    iOS 9.3.2

    Hey Greenlandic!

When he is not display the indicator for Wi - Fi at the top, is it replaced by your cellular data network connection?

If it is replaced by the mobile data connection, then it would be a normal behavior because it is not a signal strong enough between the router and then switch to the cellular data connection.

If it is not replaced by, so what we you will need to do is reset the network settings.  When we do this, it removes all passwords saved Wi - Fi, VPN settings or network profiles that you have put on your iPhone.  She'll require put you the Wi - Fi password back in once it resets. To reset the network settings, here are the steps: settings > general > reset > reset network settings.

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi - Fi - Apple Support network

Once the phone turns on, try to reconnect to your Wi - Fi and then see if the icon shows up.

  • Y450 not showing volume indicator

Hi, I just reformatted my laptop. I've done several times, but this issue has never happened to me.

My problem is that when I increase the volume and the volume using the volume control of material, it increases not and overtemperature volume, but it is unclear to the screen.

There is an indicator in the display indicating the volume going downwards or upwards. Now he doesn't. What is a registry problem?

I think it's a problem of lenovo power management. "utulity.exe" (at least on Y560) is responsible for the OSD.
